4 Gor Mahia players in Harambee stars squad

Goalkeeper Jerim Onyango has finally been rewarded for the steady improvements he has made of late by being named to the national team that is due to leave for the CECAFA cup in Dar es Salaam next week.

Another suprise inclusion is Kogalo midfielder Abdimalik Mohammed. The lanky midfielder from Isiolo who joined Kogalo this year is supremely talented. But he has yet to establish himself in the Kogalo starting lineup. But he has shown flashes if brilliance and a keen eye for goal which has seen him catch the eyes of national team coach Jacob “Ghost” Mulee as well as European talent scouts.

Kevin Omondi returns to the Harambee stars midfield. The youthful midfielder made an impression when stars toured Tanzania earlier this year and hopes for a repeat performance.

Finally George “Blackberry” Odhiambo completes the squad. It was Blackberry who impressed fans the most when he came onto the field during the ANC qualifier against Uganda.

Lift the name of Kogallo up high!

  • I highly doubt of the credentials of the Harambee Stars technical bench. Why has he not picked Eric Masika (Gor), Collins Okoth (Gor) and Ezekiel Odera (KCB)? Mullei will still remain a ghost as his name suggest. This guy will never take Harambee Stars anywhere. He is better off commenting with Gidi in Radio Jambo FM but not as a coach to handle the national team.

Mulee has never been a good selector. Some of his choices have always been suspect. And much depends on whether he is friends with the player in question. Do you remember when he fielded George Waweru at ANC 2004 even though Waweru had a neck injury. This fellow should not be coaching stars.

On Mulei I do not want to comment much. His hatred for Gor players is well known, so he would pich Masika who has proven throughout the season that he deserves a place in H Stars; Collins Okoth too has a good case; and if he does not give Blackberry an playing time worth writing home about in Tanzania, that shoul not surprise you. Has he not dropped Jerim?

Now Mr ONE BURA, what do you mean? Is it that we should be looking for that mix and sacrifce standards or we go for quality and if they fall on one Mwende, Kamau, Ruto , Chilapong, Omari or any Kazungus etc we bring them in? I think you have a bright idea so that while we expand the base support we reach out to others for unity. Infact apart from Kitavi lately, we are starved for coastal flair ever since the days of Abbas Magongo. Somebody bring in somebody from there please, and a Masai or Ogiek for good measure.

I still believe K’ogalo players should be given priority in national team appointment over other clubs owing to their competence vis a viz other kpl clubs…we should demand more respect 4rm the Head coach.

Mulei will never take Harambee Stars anywhere with the kind of hatred he has towards other clubs how many players wer left who were good. He should conscentrate with being Radio Jambo comentator but not a coach to handle the national team and if possible he should coach radio jambo fc.
He is afailure to this country
