7 players doubtful for Rangers tie

courtesy of futaa.com

Ahead of their game against bottom-placed side Rangers FC, Gor Mahia Head Coach Zdravko Logarusic has revealed that seven players are doubtful of featuring in the match due to injury.

Midfield dynamo

According to the coach, midfield kingpin Joseph Pablo Njunguna is still nursing a knee injury while Edwin Lavatsa, Kevin Ade Omondi, Solomon Nasio and Christopher Wekesa have minor injuries that will need to be assessed.

-Njuguna is still recovering and will not play. All the other have small injuries that will be checked to ensure they can play. I cannot risk players until I’m sure, Logarusic told futaa.com.

Jerry and Dube

Other players that might be unavailable for Gor Mahia are first choice custodian Jerim Onyango and former APR midfielder Moses Dube Odhiambo.

-Jerim’s sister passed away recently so we will also need to ascertain his psychological state while Moses is also recovering from Malaria, Logarusic added.

The match will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday 3 October 2012 and kicks off at 1900 hours

Sorry for Jerim.losing your siz is bad and hurts the entire football.may God rest her in peace. I want to believe the absense of Jerim and Dube will be badly felt.i stand to be corrected.although Njuguna and Wekesa’s miss could be a mess,i believe they can be less felt.for lavatsa,no problem since the forwad has alot of opptions.if Pamzo decides to man mark Sserunkuma and Salim, the avails a good midfield with two lethal strikers, then it’s unpredictable.for us INGWE ,we have given up the Tpl,only what we want are 12 points, and win against karuturi in Mums fkf cup.tomorrow i will be in stadi, but i want that Gor either lose or share spoils.but whatever outcome so let it be.

  • Karibu @Omusala we pray that you beat Karaturi and we beat Muho over the weekend so that we have another derby on the 14th. On the league front as GM we pray for a win though as it is now mpira hudunda. Just see how Ingwe are still celebrating beating Muhoroni, forgetting that a wounded Ulinzi and rejunevated Mathare await them

these mashemajis after beating muhoroni youth which are fighting relegation think that they can now beat any team including ulinzi who are threatening to overtake them. what a pity.

@ 4 Omusala – thanks for being sincere that you want GM to lose or draw against Rangers. Equally we want Ulinzi & Chemelil to beat Ingwe, then we beat Tusker on 31-Oct. In brief we will win all our 5 out of 5 matches, take the trophy then come next season we see if you can defect to GM.

Jerry – pls receive my condolences. Now that we have some injuries upfront let us use Imbem, Ssurukuma & Rama upfront, Viera, Anguyo, Moses Otieno can play mid then we readjust back-line and we are home and dry.

WIth lots of humility, please allow me to convey my heartfelt condolesences to you, friends and the entire family for the sudden demise of your beloved sister.

Death is a bad reaper, it takes even the unripe, wrote Chinua Achebe in his book Things Fall Apart. In happy moments, I recall how inspirational you’ve been between the goal posts. As our team captain, you’ve provided the leadership both on and off the field.

I pray God to give you all the grace to withstand the loss. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

burden but as a privilege. Help us to be grateful
for Jesus, who shows us how to live, and for
