Gor Mahia secretary general Ben Omondi confirmed on his social media pages that all salaries for the month of August have been settled. Omondi thanked Sportpesa for coming to the club’s aid. According to Omondi, Sportpesa has already paid the club all the money due in 2018. Which would leave fans wondering where money for September salary will come from.

Omondi also said that claims that the club had received the Walusimbi transfer fee and that it had gone into a fake account were not true. The allegation had been made by Judith Nyangi. According to Omondi

AR wants to address the media. At the weekend the cup is being handed to Gor Mahia in Kisumu.
Thanks AR you have read the mood of the Gor Mahians. But just try and be safe during the Kisumu function.

What does Rachier want to tell us that we don’t know? He is fleecing GM football club left right and center and should not bother telling us about Conmanship Kaizer Chiefs deals on Walusimbi transfer saga. We advised him to decline and report them to Fifa for player tapping but he chose to sacrifice our Caf qualification campaign at the expense of allure for money…Nyangi has spilled it already where money went. Talk to your incompetent Aduda CEO in private…

  • ODHIS muga says:

Sensing humiliation in Kisumu, Rachier now wants to play some PR gimmicks to appease the enraged fans, we are not fools Mr chairman. Meanwhile the big question is WHERE WILL SEPTEMBER AND OTHER MONTHS ‘
    SALARIES COME BEFORE JANUARY???

  • dinga says:

Walusimbi saga was not a transfer. It was a “collabo” theft. Expecting the club to receive this money is therefore a pipe dream. KC might end up paying but EC thugs will most likely continue to deny.
But worst is that the crooks have now turned their eyes on the sponsorship money.
Let Nyangi and Chair be on this so called press conference to answer questions. The butcherman will only show you the good side of the meat.

  • Jakoyo says:

As widely expected and predicted, his majesty right reverend chairman has finally spoken. Walusimbi transfer shall continue to remain ‘classified information’.

Lets all turn in kisumu this weekend to witness the largest coronation ever in the history of the club !!!

The truth is that Walusimbi was set leave at all cost. Therefore the best thing was let him go in peace. He served Gm well during his stay, helping the team leagues. I know we will receive his sell off money. You may not like Rachier but his achievement at GM is openly seen. our objective now should be to retain our players aim to be in knock out stage next year. Meanwhile everyone should renew his membership. Let us avoid to much negative energy. To the officer whose utterance always lead to boycott, kindly if you have any evidence that some of your colleagues are fraudulently benefit from GM, take them to court any leave our GM in peace.I do respect every opinion they healthy but should be damaging.

Gor players to be paid today, seething Rachier says in explosive presser
    JACOB ICIA
    24 SEP 2018
Gor Mahia players will be paid their outstanding salaries and allowances by the close of business Monday, club Chairman Ambrose Rachier has committed.

The move has been forced by a section of players who have been boycotting matches protesting their unpaid August salary and seven-match allowances.

A fuming Rachier addressing journalists in a Nairobi hotel on Monday afternoon, has also warned officials alleged to be inciting the players to boycott duty.

Flanked by Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala, Organising Secretary Judith Nyangi, Team Manager Jolawi Obondo, Rachier read a strong statement that arguably, was meant to smother the rising accusations by stakeholders against the management of the most successful club in East Africa.

“During the past two weeks, the Gor Mahia stage has witnessed theatre of tragi-comedy as well as that of the absurd. A theatre where miserably impecunious self seekers, some of no fixed abode are playing the role of philanthropic benefactors purportedly paying unsolicited rent for our players.

“A theatre of in which failed pseudo politicians are trying their hands at maiden trade-unionism purporting to advocate our players’ industrial rights, dram where hired lay-abouts have taken to social media to echo their desperate master’s voices in the most virulent terms and to vomit varying doses of imbibed albeit indigestion vitriol at the behest of their cowardly demagogues,” charged the shrewd city lawyer, immediately after leading his aides in emphatically unleashing the popular Gor Mahia anthem.

Underscoring that the K’Ogalo house has been put in a disarray by gross misinterpretation of facts by ‘misguided and disgruntled perverts with ulterior and puerile motives,’ Rachier defended the delayed salaries.

“Appropriate arrangements were made for the payment for the month of August 2018, but on account of certain unavoidable circumstances beyond our (Gor management) control, the salaries were delayed. I emphasise that the laches in remittance were both unexpected and unanticipated,” defended Rachier.

    More to follow soon…

    • Jasego says:

Haha legal lingua at it’s best…Jakoyo are you a pseudo failed politician trying a hand at trade-unionism while having no fixed abode of their own while purporting to raise rent for Shakava? I only ask for that is what bwana Chairman has referred and likened those who led rent raising initiatives for Gor Players to be…Omera Rachier iyenyo moromo calling people demagogues and all other sorts of unbecoming pronouns but pay players and TB…Brn said salaries were already paid then now you say you’ll pay by close of business today. Why is your mgt such that even a whole SG doesn’t have facts and whoever issues a statement other than yourself does so from a point of misinformation? Nice lingua though Wakili am still laughing…

  • dinga says:

Kadaffi called those questioning him rats. So unfortunate that all that Rachier could offer is insults. So the SG publicly lies that salaries are paid as Aduda bellows on how players should adhere to their contracts. Is the the SG aware that players also read these lies on the press. So a player sits in the house with no dinner yet some fan could have probably sent the player some cash to move on. But since the SG lied the player sleeps angry.
Does Aduda understand that a contract means that both sides shall deliver as agreed. Once a player misses his pay then the contract is as good as breached…
Harambee stars match in an almost empty kasarani can raise 4mill. Double that same crowd for a Gor match and all you get is less than 2mill.

    • Oswozo Moziek says:

Today I had the privilege of watching the team training as I went for my usual training at the parklands sports club.

It was a full house except for bonnie and kahata and the players looked in high spirits.. perhaps it’s coz of what might have transpired during the day.

Philomon Otieno was on the sidelines.though.after the training tuyisenge remained behind to film what looked like a documentary by some foreign correspondents.

  • Odhis Muga says:

Robert Mugabe also abused people in Zmbwe but finally left humiliated.
Rachier is not an exception, his end in Gor will bitter.Even Obado is now crumbling and hurtling down the grain, kwani ang’o ma ok rum???

Gor Mahia skipper Shakava denies being locked out of apartment

Gor Mahia captain Haroun Shakava has dismissed reports that he was locked out of his apartment, owing to unpaid rent for the month of August.

Shakava denied being bailed out by well wishers who are reported to have cleared his August and September arrears after his employer delayed in remitting the players salaries and allowances.

A picture doing rounds on social media had shown the burly defender with some fans affiliated to the club’s Dandora Sharp Corner branch which raised approximately Sh42 000 to purportedly clear his alleged Sh28 000 monthly rent.

The league winning skipper termed the reports as mere rumours and said: “I have been reading online that I have been locked out of my house and consequently missed training sessions and matches as a result of.”

“I have also read that it took the intervention of well wishers to clear my August and September rent, which is untrue. I pay Sh14, 000 a month and I can confirm that I have never delayed in paying rent neither have I ever sought financial help to clear it. The report came as a shock to my family, who have been supportive in my career and I would have sought their help if I had such a challenge.”

The former Kakamega Homeboyz centre half challenged the management of the club to assemble quality players for the forthcoming Caf Champions League.

Gor is set to kick off their continental title chase in December and Shakava has urged the management to focus on shipping in players who match the calibre of the tournament.

K’ogalo is yet to fully replace the dependable duo of Meddie Kagere and Godfrey Walusimbi, who decamped mid season after getting better deals in Tanzania and South Africa respectively.

He said: “Locally, we have dominated and won the league with less rivalry from the other 17 teams. We shift our attention to the Caf Champions League where I call upon the management to bring in quality players to compliment those who are already in camp so that we can conquer the continent.”

    • Jasego says:

Jakoyo yet again you get disputed by the Captain himself in the lingua of “words from the horses mouth”. Contrary to claims you make here on almightyness of AR you seem to be a Judith Nyangi collaborator since she is the alleged mastermind of this fake fundraising to seek cheap publicity while at the same time inciting players into untoward action of skipping training and losing games. Despite my acute differences with chairman i Cannot support inciting players to ruin club K’Ogalo much as i will always fight for their rights. In this breath Judith Nyangi Must vacate GM offices for working to destroy the club from within. AR and Aduda we will deal with in the AGM later in the year but in the immediate Nyangi with her Uncouth Acute illiteracy and divisive interference antics with the playing unit that even irked Sir Kerr to admonish her during the Kisumu debacle must go if we want to remain a united club. She is poison and if unchecked will play the role of a virus that attacks all and sundry. She has no limits or moral code and her vendetta though disguised as advocating for players rights might break the club if unchecked. Atoke Mara Moja

@Jasego, Who elected this immoral woman in Gor Mahia? Squarely the blame game is on the fans that brought her to the club.

  • Dixon juma says:

The only thing that we can expect from ador is permanent solution to for problems. Not telling us what transpired. Why we lost on caf, why kagere and jaja left. We know they left coz of delayed salaries and arrears. So aache kutupima bangi kwa kichwa. Come address us and tell us how you are going to increase revenue from sept to Jan. Mambo ya salary lazima iishe once and for all. Don’t tell us mambo ya for membership. Ndio ukule the little that we have. Kama munashambulia nyangi. • Dickson Marienga says:

Yea come with solutions. Don’t tell us how tough it is to manage gor. You can also tell us that u want to resign. Jaro soja u r no longer pushing the interest of the club. But u r now in bed with mugabe
