Mensah became free agent after refusing to renew his contract with the Hunters which expired at the end of the 2016/2017 season.
Gor Mahia FC head coach Dylan Kerr is keen on acquiring the services of the workaholic midfielder as he aims at defending their title.

I watched the match live in kisumu but I think wendo is top class and no one can replace him except wanyama. So those who bring the Ghanaian to replace wendo are daydreaming. Wendo is mature and if we loose him to any team, we will leave to regret it. We should only be concerned about attacking midfielder to replace miguna who is rumoured to be leaving. Wendo even dethrone colins okoth. Kudos wendo for the game well played.
