Bobby sizes up Bandari

Gor Mahia’s stand-in coach, John ‘Bobby’ Ogolla, says the team is capable of winning the league this season even after the sacking of head coach Zdravko Logarusic.

When Gor host Bandari at City Stadium on Sunday, Ogolla will be on a mission to collect all three points and rise to second in the league table behind Thika United who drew 0-0 with Gor on Wednesday.

“Our focus is not on the exit of Logaruisic. He is gone and that is the end of the story. Our focus is on the league title, nothing else matters,” said Ogolla, whose side has collected 22 points from 12 games, four points shy of leaders Thika, and one behind Bandari.

“We are settling down remarkably well. Of course with the exit of the coach, we have had to re organize and train ourselves to accommodate a new era and way of working. We have to adopt a new approach. He (Logarusic) and I gelled well but each one of us had his way of doing things,” said Ogolla.

Admitting that Bandari will present a strong challenge given their fine form this season, Ogolla said he is working on a formula to avoid any upsets.

While i fully support Boby Ogola and wish him well, but we will greatly miss the gone coach. Loga was a human being of which he could not be 100% but he brought alot of impact to the team that will be cherished by many if not all Kogalo fans. He is gone so let us forcus ahead.

Jokogalo! Bobby “will be a great coach” however; we need to prop the technical bench by looking at the currently unemployed BOBBY Williams; former coach of the Uganda Cranes. Both Bobbys can make us TRUE Champions. Its a thought!!

Watch out for Bandari Jersey No.7…Shaban Kenga is a very dangerous winger and Jerseys 24 and 12 in the midfield.

Shaban Kenga is an INGWE from January 2014. Hence that burning desire to “screw your goal” is in him. All the best Shaban!

  • Its the bitter truth. That guy Loga was aggressive and players were listening to him attentively. Bobby is a legend and good coach but wonder whether he can command the same respect from players.
