Gor Mahia secretary general George Bwana reveals to Goal that they will not hesitate to replace the Croat tactician who is yet to return from holiday

Kenya Premier League side Gor Mahia Secretary General George Bwana insists the club will not be held hostage by coach Zradvko Logarusic.

Bwana said while the club is still open to receive the coach back, they will not hesitate to replace him if need arises.

“He (Loga) is our coach and by now he should be here preparing the club for their weekend match against Karuturi Sports,” Bwana told Goal.

“He has his ticket but we are not allowing his absence to affect us. John ‘Bobby’ Ogolla is preparing the team for the Sunday match and I want to say that as officials of the club, we will have to make a decision on his future if he will not have come back by Sunday.

“The club is bigger than all of us and we cannot allow one person to hold us hostage. At some point we have to make a decision and move on,” added Bwana.

On Wednesday, Goal exclusively revealed an email sent by the Croat tactician to Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier demanding for a number of issues to be sorted out before he returns from holiday.

Logarusic protested that he does not have a work permit and resides in Nairobi on a tourist visa.

Secondly he also raised issue about his lack of a formal contract with the club and expressed fears that a section of Gor Mahia officials have frustrated all efforts to sign a new improved deal.

Lastly, the coach fearful of his future insisted he does not have an air-ticket that would allow him to return back home in case he is fired by Gor Mahia hierarchy.

Logarusic: I do not fear the sack

Gor Mahia coach Zdravko Logarusic says he does not fear losing his job as it also emerged there is a sharp rift within the club’s management over the signing of new players.

Logarusic, speaking from his native Croatia, claimed some officials within the club have been plotting his downfall and want him out.

“I doubt if the (Gor Mahia) chairman (Ambrose Rachier) would sack me. I know there are some elements within the management who have been sabotaging me and want me out, but if they decide so, I care less. I do not fear losing my job,” he said.

As it is, Gor Mahia will play Karuturi Sports on Sunday in Nakuru without their coach who said he is yet to hear from the club. “If I get a ticket today, I will be in Nairobi soonest,” the coach said.

  • Bwana and EC please stop this nonsense of washing your dirty linen in public….keep those issues to yourselves . for fans and players all we want is FOCUS on the 2nd leg of KPL and most importantly winning the 2013 KPL title. what is the hell with all this distraction while other clubs are busy buying players and strategizing for 2nd half of the league – loga vs women, loga vs contract , loga vs EC , loga vs visa /work permit , loga vs holiday , loga vs sack/new coach, loga vs new recruitment , loga vs rachier e.t.c e.tc. e.tc STOP IT !!!

  • Surely we cannot be held hostage. Someone once said that coaches come and go. Let’s please move on and assist Bobby to deliver for us. Once we start perfrming you will hear that Loga has sneaked ih and is negotiating his job back. What happened to the Gor pride? We let PPO go and our defence didn”t collapse as was predictedn in fact we produced the best in all areas. So guys let’s forget the Loga issue and he will come back on our own terms. Even sweethearts when they bother yo and you move on they do their own soul searching and creep back

Well said @Jakoyo and Dan. The man who is now referring to himself as a tourist once arrogantly referred to himself as a professional coach. From professional coach to tuorist? How things change! He is busy whipping the sympathy of Gor Mahia fans. Personally I assure him he wont get mine. Let him deny or confirm Arrumtiddi’s analysis of his current predicament. EC is not clean either but what we care most about is our beloved club.

  • Lets accept Loga isn’t coming back and move on. We have a match on Sunday which we should focus on and let the EC continue with their usual circus with Loga. My prayer is the circus does not affect the players in any way.

Ooh Laa la..!!!! “TUKO TAYARI SANA”. LET JA-CHODE VANISH”

The team is training under the stewardship of JBO. I can confirm that today i happened to pass by tok komwanda and witnessed a full house except for the one marvelous and at times comical SEXY-MANIAC who has gone AWOL.

The morale is high than when the same guy was there last time round. And believe me guys, the boys are geared to move on with or without the side-shows. We are going to enjoy ourselves in NAKURU with tiki taka soccer and an avalanche of goals courtesy of LAVATSA,KIONGERA,RAMA & SSEREKUMA.

I saw BATARO , WANYONYI but OBOYA was not around though i heard that he trained the previous day and so was OSBORNE MONDAY. LOGA has messed up himself with sluts and we should just forget him for now. THAT GUY IS A DEADLY WOMANIZER.

I have always supported the incumbent coaches whenever under fire on this blog but for once I tend to agree with the idea that its time we let this guy go. Kogallo is bigger than any individual. I strongly believe that Sir JBO if supported by EC, can deliver even better than Loga. Asituletee, asituletee!!! Let us move on.

For God and my beloved club – Kogallo.

If loga talked about; his contract sighning, some EC members are at his down fall coz of his strickness, What is the problem with that? He is acoach and must be treated like other coaches.this is the problem of harrambesters now in kogallo. Will we make it to tittle? About wemen, this is petty and bosh Players are to go to training field minu their galfriends.and normal men serduce good ladies. So pliz understand coaches dont be arrogant pple

@13, Erick i totaly agree with you, Some people only look one side of the coin. George Bwana and his team has completly faild in perfoming their duties. How can a big club like this have a coach without formal contract and a work permit? I suggest u send him that air ticket then work on then work on the two issues. Telling Logar not to come back will not solve anything.

@Sketch Oketch let Machine wuod gi Ochuka rest in peace. He did starling duty for K’Ogalo during his time and that is what we should remember him for. He had very convincing grievances for leaving. Don’t compare him with someone who knows no culture.

  • Let Loga go but MOST IMPORTANT REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE “EXECUTIVE COMMUNITY” FROM THE EXECESSIVE 14
Lets elect credible legends to run the club-

    1.CHAIRMAN-A.R vs ???
2.VICE CHAIR-DR. OBWAKA is better than the combined Killo,Faiz and the other guy
3.SEC GENERAL- OLUOCH LULE vs G.BWANA

Yes Loga’s sex scandal is not the biggest problem in GMFC, NAY ITS 99% the EC, WAPI T.SHIRTS, WAPI GATE COLLECTIONS, SEX SCANDAL IF IT DID HAPPEN WAS UNDER EC’s watch. GET RID OF THIS EC FAST, IF K’GALO is to move anywahere

I congratulate Ogwang’ for that emphatic win over Sofapaka. It is a good sign for us tomorrow. Sir Bobby we are fully behind you. This is an opportunity for you to confirm what we have always known: that you are the brain behind last season’s achievements. Liwalo na liwe.

I see far like a tiger!!!!from here where I am writing, I see stones being thrown at the coach of this club very very soon….I don’t know when but time will tell! EC made a mistake…you cannot cheat a professional like “LUOSUCKLING” that he works at a higher pay without a contract. If you can’t afford it don’t engage a worker at a higher cost than what you have budgeted for!! Lesson learned the hard way!

  • Unfortunatley some people are allowing their mouth to go forth before their minds. Surely any reasoning person should be asking who between the two sides is telling the truth. Someone between the two groups aint telling the truth or both could be doing half truth. How does an octopuss confuse an enemy? By squinting ink. Someone is doing an octopuss on Gor fraternity to mask the truth and unfortunaltely we are not asking the right questions. This will lead to divisions and downward spirall if we loss focus guys.

  • I think most coaches are being fired coz of poor performers but so far that does not fall on Logarusic.
Can someone remember where this coach came with us? to where we are can someone tell me his badness as acoach? if not, why yapping up and down? last time if I can remember he fought for his players to be payed their allowences for their motivation but it was very painfull for some pigs in the EC and we have learned that these pigs in the EC are still bitter with the coach because logarusic is very smart for them. Give Logarusic what he wants so that he continue serving Kogallo, but if you fail, Tusker watamchukua mkiona na hapo atatusumbua.

Some imbecile removed my comments. I still repeat, no one is indispensable. Loga is NOT and will never reach Len Julians heights. He cannot hold the club at a ransom with his demands. I don’t see why the likes of Sir Bobby cannot be trained to take up the coaching mantle fully. I don’t understand the beholden-ess to mzungu mentality with some of us and this is why the girlfriends of some players are happily dropping their pants when Loga passes by. However, it is quite unbecoming for a coach to have sex with the girlfriends of his players. In a more civilized society he would be long gone even if he is the most qualified. Loga should go … BUT ofcourse they are some irrational diehard fans of the amorous dude.
