Coach Kerr confirms reports of abysmal living conditions

In an interview with NTV, coach Dylan Kerr admitted that he indeed went an entire month with no electricity and no water for a month.

He said that the landlord decided to cut off electricity and water but did not say why. In terms of salaries, Kerr confirmed that he was always paid in time with the exception of the months of September and October.

Kerr says he remained professional and did not let it affect his performance. But he was affected when his players were not paid on time because it affected their performance.

Kerr stated that clubs, the KPL, FKF and the ministry needs to get their house in order.

Kerr went on to thank the fans and stated that he was honoured to be beloved by the fans. He likes everything about Kenya and had a great time.

Ngala rubbishes allegations

But Gor Mahia Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala rubbished allegations.”We used to pay him Sh150,000 for rent and later reduced it to Sh100,000.

“The coach had requested that we (club) give him the money and he finds a place to stay and we obliged. So if he chose a place where there is a frequent power outage, how is that our problem? It did not concern us as long as he was performing on the pitch.” said Ngala to goal.com

Ngala went on to say that the allegations were an attempt to make officials look bad.

“I just feel it is a way of making us look bad when in the real sense we are not; if he had a better offer he could have just said so.” he concluded.

We need to move on. Still not sure how ne can pay rent in Kileleshwa/Kilimani but no water or power.
Jasego, how are our preps? And have the new players, especially, the UG striker joined? Ama sign-on fee bado ni shida?
Hav we come close to getting a new coach? I hear Emayel is in the list

@Dan preps are in full gear with the team hitting residential high altitude training camp in Nakuru tomorrow after which on saturday they will play a friendly against KCB. They return on sunday for a day’s rest before regrouping for Tuesday’s Caf CL match against Nyasa Bullets. Erissa Ssekisambu needs Sign-On fees which is being looked into while the foreign quota limit is also challenging as Karim Nizigiyimana is up for contract renewal talks. Should he extend contract then one must go between Guikan and our Newest Acquisition interest..

Whatever the club decides, i hope they don’t let Karim go. if the worst comes to worse i would send out either Guikan or Mustafa out. Tuyisenge and Erisa are going to be our main strikers so Guikan and Mustafa are going to be back ups. But we need Karim and the right back position

Spilt milk cannot be recouped.Just like Nuttal, Lugarusic, Zemaria and others, Kerr is now history. Let’s learn from our past mistakes and look into the future. We need updates on training progress and information about new recruits and not sideshows.

Why did he not raise the matter with the club then? After being given 100000 for rent was the club also supposed to service the utilities? When Judith Nyangi and Kerr decide to take to social media on this untruth, they should realize how much ireparerable damage they are causing the club and not one particular individual.

We may never quite get to know what actually happened. On his call about KPL and FKF, that is something he has never shied from mentioning. It is a fact that football governing in our Kenya is still bellow the par. However, as far as coaching is concerned, I think that Players who have through his hands have each learned something. On the flipside, coaches are never here to stay. Weather they exit in the right or the wrong way. The We must always sleep with one open. It is a world of who pays well. Our capacity still is wanting. We have sat on these musical chairs before. Logarusic left us at the hour of need, Nuttal and now here we are. All left because there was someone offering a better perk. Nothing is wrong with that. Considering that these coaches were very successful at Gor. They would become the desire of many other suitors. The reality therefore is, Kerr has gone and there is no need of going back there. I said previously, that there are many other coaches who are just waiting for an opportunity to work at Gor. My humble thought is we don’t even think about going for those who have left even if they were successful. We still have a goal that we have not reached. That is to make an impression on the African Continent. Any Coach that will come will need to know this very quickly and as a priority. May they not be made to believe that the league is the Priority. Kogalo has overgrown the Local league and this must be maintained. In-fact in their contract, there need to be a clause that captures that very clearly. When you maintain a high standard then you are BOUND TO HIT A HIGHER STANDARD.

Rubbish. ..The coach got a better offer in South Africa. My fear is that the club is in the category of Zoo Kericho, Nzoi and Vihiga United with no future to survive the top league.
In the whole world coaches come and go and there is no exception to Sir Kerr.
He did good job at Kogalo and should aim higher in South Africa.

Let me salute the former coach for his good work.
Now focus should be on new season. I hope the EC will get it right so that we do better in the continental assignment and locally.

Dylan Kerr has moved because of better pay, but not to a better team, the team, Black Leopards, is third last on the South African Premier League.

If he chose to be given a rent of 100,000/= and choose a house for himself, electricity and water werw issues between him and the landlord. Gor Mahia EC could not come in.

Otherwise, the best we can do is to thank Kerr for his contributions to Gor Mahia and focus on the team’s preparation for the 2018/2019 season.

    Kerr issue is history now.

Yes Kerr issue is history and I wish him well in his new team in SA. I just hope he’s not going to behave like Zemaria by tapping our best at the hour of need.

Kerr is gone. He is now history. We loved him, but he is gone now. Nothing we can do about that.

Now this Luc Eymael guy, being taunted as the best Kerr’s replacement, has a good CV. Check it out on Wikipedia. Success has been following him wherever he goes. We can’t forget that he brought Ingwe to second position up from relegation threat zone.

My only worry is that he appears to be a nomad. The guy jumps ship like crazy. I am sure if he comes to kogallo, with the quality of players we have, he will shine. But, boy! Will he stay?

So I suggest when/if we sign him, we give him one year NONRENEWABLE contract. That way, we will be expecting his departure and won’t be hurt again this much.

  • Why do we like to sweep issues under the carpet? Are’nt we just emboldening the EC to operate with impunity? Why are contracts either totally absent or not adhered to e.g Kerr,Walusimbi etc.HAVE PLAYERS’ BEEN PAID OCT18 DUES OR WILL IT BE ANOTHER STRIKE

@admin, personally i think it is disrespectful to talk about Kerr at this point in time. Kerr is history and let us focus on what is ahead of us……..friendlies, preparation for CAF, player transfers , financial position and most important – the elephant in the room, AGM.

Secondly, i think we should also all get it in our heads that ZICO, club legend and EC blue eyed boy shall be confirmed as the head coach and any other so called foreign coach purpoting to have had talks with the club, will be unanimously rejected at the AGM. Like i mentioned last week, Kerr himself endorsed ZICO as his perfect replacement and ZICO sees Okumbi as his ideal assistant.

Lets all meet at the AGM

@Jakoyo, AGM has no power to hire any coach but to perform the most stupid thing of electing your girlfriend Nyangi and buddy Secretary General who are known with hululating nonsense to social media as if they were not part of the rot at the EC.

Members in the last AGM mandated Ambrose Rachier and his team to explore ways and means of turning Gor Mahia into a limited liability company or form a holding company that can be listed at the securities exchange; and only owners or shareholders of the company will be required to attend the AGM to deliberate on Gor Mahia matters.

Ambrose Rachier and his company has failed the club supporters on this noble matter and this confirms that Gor Mahia will continue to be on the begging mission as people or officials mandated to turn the fortunes of Gor Mahia have no ideas or iota of interest in making this happen. Who has bewitched Gor Mahia to be always perpetually be on the begging mission?

Ambrose Rachier has failed the club and supporters in turning around the stature of the club. Rachier and his team have been successful in winning trophies but have terribly failed the supporters and club in changing the stature of our great club into business venture that will be able to see the club to compete with the best in African in terms of the professionalism and reorganization.

The elected AGM office has also failed to explore the goodwill club has to transform the fortunes of the club.

Kerr is likely to poach Kahata and Philemon Otieno to South Africa’s Black Leopards

Kerr is now an opponent who want to poach our players and should be treated as such.
