CS Amina Mohamed rallies fans to attend match

Amina Mohamed says in a recorded video with media personality Carol Radull that she will be at Kasarani in person. And urged other fans to attend.

Players on go slow

Gor Mahia players once again went on strike to complain about unpaid allowances.

“We cannot be giving our best and the management takes us for a ride, no, this has to stop. We have not been paid our league and Caf allowances as promised and the management has decided to keep silent on the matter. We have opted to stay at home as well,” the player told Goal.com

The player went on to say that the players have persevered for a long time.

“This is something that they could have sorted out a long time back but they keep on playing games on us, they are forgetting we can do it (play games) better.”

This issue of players not being paid keeps allowances, winning bonuses or even at times salaries keeps on reoccurring. A permanent solution need to be found once for ALL.

The solution is to corporatise the club into a company with clear mission and visions. This will make the company more accountable to stakeholders that includes the players and other stakeholders.

We need a deep pocketed investor to buy significant stake in the club like 60% while 10% to allocated to fans trust and 30% by other investors.

Rachier and his team with limited financial resources can’t solve this recurring problems as the team requires lot of resources. We need to diversify all the financial sources in terms of the following:-
      1. Sponsorship agreements from placing of corporate logos on the term’s shirt, merchandises and training kits.
      2. Commercial trading and developing retail merchandising, apparels, and product licensing business – such as replica branded items, opening of outlets, embracing e-commerce initiatives, other commercial trading activities as food and drinks, etc
      3. Broadcasting and distribution of live football contents directly and indirectly. Television rights on Gor Mahia owned TV channels.
      4. Innovative and automated matchday ticket sales and seasonal tickets.

These should long term solutions to these recurring problems.

I think the players are missing the point,it seems they are still amateur players. They should respect the club and they need to be reminded of the team objective and co values of a serious professional player, if they so wish then they need to handover their resignation letters or terminate their contract with For mahia because delayed payments of winning bonuses and allowances is not only in Gor mahia but it is a worldwide thing happening in many clubs. The issue perennial boycott is so common at Gor nowadays partly because the team captain Harun Shakava has no leadership quality to bring the players together and link the players with the management.

@Nyikwar Ondenge, I am 100% in agreement with your posting. The delayed bonus and allowances are normally settled in full when the club receives funds. The salary is taken care of by SportPesa and there is no problem with payments.
