Nigerian import Felix “Felixinho” Nwosu has expressed his joy after being handed his first start for Gor Mahia and his particular joy was the fans loyalty and passion to the club.

“I have never seen anything like this before. The fans are so amazing and they are very passionate about the team. I am very happy that I have finally played my first match for my dream club and we won, though we should have scored more goals”.

“ I want to thank the management and the whole technical bench for believing in me and giving me the chance. I want to promise that I will remain forever loyal to them. I feel accepted and I want to promise my very best to them. This is just the beginning”, Nwosu said in an interview with Michezoafrika.com

The Nigerian had made his way from his homeland where he was playing for Enugu Rangers with the sole purpose of playing for K’ogalo. He was signed and handed the number 4 jersey that was previously donned by Captain Julius “Awilo”  Owino.

Nwosu will be K’ogallo’s immediate answer to Gor Mahia’s centre back crisis especially with the departure of Erick Masika who joined arch rivals AFC Leopards.

  • My sincere prayer is that this player settles in fast and that a good partnership in the defence is built immediately. AS things stand now I am not sure who our central defence pairing will be. The coaches must remain vigilant that complacency does not creep into the team due to the abundance of talent in the team. I want to state that my gut feeling tells me that the team must be built around a very strong central defence pairing. Step out Ivan Anguyo, Felexinho, David Owino, Musa Mohammed. These four should be able to provide the fulcrum for the team to move on.
