FKF gives Gor Mahia a reprieve
The match pitting Gor Mahia against league leaders Thika United will be played on Wednesday 26 June at the Moi International Sports Centre starting from 1500hours as confirmed by Jack Oguda.
Initially the match was to be played at the Nyayo National Stadium starting 1000hours with no fans

Oguda speaking to Futaa.com said that the first venue and time had been because of the fan ban but with the new developments, they had to move it to a fan friendly time.
-Based on the letter from FKF, we will have to let fans attend the game which will now be played at 1500hourspm.
-The game had been set for 1000hours for easy management of fans but now that they have been allowed the game has moved to 1500hours.
-The game will be played at Kasarani as Nyayo had not been booked, explained Oguda.
Such a crowd puller should have been played over the weekend or at Nyayo.
Doesn’t the executive community ever review these fixtures when released b4 the season starts and requests adjustments that can help the club raise maximum revenue.
As for the purported ban on K’galo by KPL its simply laughable-AFC were the home team (and took all the gate collections) and were responsible for all aspects of that game including security.WHERE DOES GMFC COME IN?
Its really sad about Awilo but what can we do as fans, the current executive community is doing the same(UNACCOUNTING /STEALING FOR GATE COLLECTIONS/MERCHANDIZE) thats WHY AM ADVOCATING THAT WE ELECT QUALIFIED FORMER LEGENDS INTO OFFICE. As former players they feel the pain of AWILO most:

I had thought that without residential training EC should encourage players to pursue some courses during their free time e.g enterprenual since not all former players can be accommodated as coaches.

I was 1 of the few fans who criticized Loga for “going on leave” when i thought he should have been around to oversee the release of players and the recruitment of new ones.
However,am not sure if sacking him is the right thing if his grievances were actually genuine.It just means the EC may just be papering over the cracks that will eventually reappear under another coach.
Its evident that under Loga we did pretty well.I think we should have given him the chance to deliver on his pre-season promise and use that as a yardstick to either retain or fire him!!
But as the saying goes…Gor is bigger than any individual,so be it.Let nobody hold us to ransom…enough said!!!
So the journeyman continues. Why not get Mzee Siang’a to work with JBO or Mzee Allan Thigo for that matter. I believe the time is ripe for former players to claim their rightful place in Kogalo. That’s how it is in most succesful clubs. We need to start from basics. Our former heroes are suffering and it remains a curse on the club. We must rudisha mkono then we build for the future. We can’t continue giving tourists free cash when we have available football brains who know where we are coming from.
