Gor Mahia back at Camp Toyoyo as they ready for Nzoia

A report in the Standard suggests that Gor Mahia who had been locked out of their training ground at Camp Toyoyo, have now been allowed back after coming to a settlement with the stadium management.

“The issue has been resolved. We have paid them some of the amount (we owe them), and have committed to settling the rest at a later date. I cant discuss the figures with you,” the club’s organizing secretary Judith Nyangi said to the Standard.

The fiasco left coach Dylan Kerr unhappy as he prepares to travel to Kisumu this weekend to play Nzoia. Judith Nyangi confirmed the match this weekend.

“I can also confirm that the team will leave for Kisumu on Saturday for the game against Nzoia. We will return on the same day,” she added.

Tickets for the Saturday match will go at Ksh 500 for the main stand and Ksh 200 for the terraces.

According to the Standard report Gor Mahia owe the Camp Toyoyo management some Sh500,000 accrued from using the facility for the past three months.

This once again brings to the fore the need for the club to get its own training ground.

  • Admin, does it mean that you depend on The Standard to outsource the team news? So even this report is subject to doubt from Kogallo faithfuls.
I expect a win against Nzoia, a team that started the season hot but is slowly fading into the mid-table.
They will fight, not to win the match but to win accolades for frustrating us into a draw. A win against them will maintain the 6-point gap with a game in hand, considering the fact that Sofapaka will beat Chemelil this weekend.
All the same, let’s pray for the win.

I hope the team has been training. Kogalo only loses due to self inflicted wounds

I thought Nyangi said “we were good to go” a while back and we only missed a single day (monday) of training. Now more dirt is being uncovered kama “Barua ya Chebukati”. When will heads roll? I maintain like in 2016 bloated EC would rather not win the league, as the real CAF licensing will uncover the +10 year administrative rot in GMFC.

Imbecile EC thoo we are tired of you, anything that concerns you is just as murky as the proverbial iebc…Don’t frustrate Coach Kerr and make him lose his momentum as we know AR is allergic to progress, calm and tranquility since he thrives best in corruption, confusion and anarchy therefore will never let peace and stability prevail in our beloved GM…
