Gor Mahia cannot underrate All Stars as Rachier clears the air

Gor Mahia will take on Nakuru All Stars in their next league encounter. The match will be played at Nyayo stadium on Wednesday starting at 5pm.

Though Nakuru have been rooted to the bottom of the table throughout the season, their recent form indicates that they are undergoing a Renaissance and any teams that under-rates them could regret it. One week ago they shocked AFC Leopards, beating them 2-1. And last weekend they gave Sofapaka quite a scare. They were leading 3-1 before John Baraza came to Sofapaka’s rescue. A key to their revival is former Gor Mahia striker Patrick Oboya who himself is experiencing a career rennaisance after having been dropped by Tusker. The goal Oboya scored against AFC was reminiscent of the memorable volley he scored against Angola in his heyday back in 2008. Oboya also scored twice against Sofapaka. He will be the man to watch on Wednesday.

Back in May, these two teams met and Gor Mahia won 5-0 with Meddie Kagere scoring what was probably the goal of the season. It will be no easy ride this time as Nakuru are determined to ride their recent form to an unlikely escape from relegation.

Rachier on outstanding Salaries

Meawhile chairman Ambrose Rachier has admitted that the entire technical staff is owed salaries. He however rejected the notion that anyone boycotted the game.

“It is true we have not paid Nuttall, and his fellow coaches, that is an undeniable fact. But they have not absconded duty that I can tell you.

“Right now they are back working. We have been in financial crisis but have tried working round the clock to make them comfortable. Last week it was a coincidence that all of them were not around as John Bobby (Ogolla) was sick and Ouna (Frank) was tied a little by his business, said Rachier to goal.com

That Nuttall is owed back salaries is highly unfortunate. The is the best coach that Gor Mahia have had since Len Julians in 1985. There will likely be numerous teams pursuing him. It may take a miracle to keep him and the fact that he is not paid on time does not help.

Rachier did however indicate that the player salaries have been brought up to date.

“We have cleared player’s salaries though, but that does not mean tacticians are not important. Players are the reason why Gor Mahia is playing so we cannot afford to let them go. But the technical bench is equally important to us because it has masterminded our current success. We are not yet successful in our bid to secure a sponsor but we are optimistic all will be well.” continued Rachier to goal.com

The fans can do their part by attending home matches and actually paying gate fees, not to mention the other financial initiatives.

One thing I like about the chairman is his frankness when faced with difficult situations,Its no secret tribal politics not hooligans have prevented potential sponsors from Gor mahia but as long as the good results keep on coming a sponsor will not be kept away by hooligans. For those of us who pray every day ,don’t forget to pray for the club because these are young men earning their salaries and wages fairly ,GOD will not let them starve. May the LORD bless the entire Gor family

NOW THAT EVERYONE IS OWED, CAN WE HAVE OPTION OF MOTIVATING OUR PLAYERS BEFORE THE DERBY as the office settle the bills

    WE are unbeaten, yes,
WE are leading yes, and AFC would like to bean the leaders,

AFC only concerned is to beat Gor, All other teams can beat them

For these reasons, AFC will prove to them that they are on TOP in the Shemeji battle. It will not surprise to see them motivate and reward their players.

For Gor, we are getting used to wins, and wins and have forgotten to reward our players. Look at Cecafa, we did nothing for the players.

I also said that Gor taking a wide lead is not good for crowd at the stadium. Not so many people come to the stadium lately. How I wish we have a more competitive league.

Gor should not move far much ahead of the rest.

  • So Leopards has joined the list of teams that only train for two matches. What a pity. This team destroyed the carriers of T.Wanyonyi n E.Masika. These two would b reaching their peak at Gor.
So Leopards is fighting Gor over a glass of milk…shouldn’t they b asking where the cow went!!

    • “This team has destroyed the carriers of T. Wanyonyi n E. Masika”…. dinga, which player from Gor has ever been successful after leaving Gor? Is it Rama, Dawo, Serre, Ade . You tell me. It is an undisputed fact that players from Gor NEVER succeed after they leave Gor. So please stop blaming Ingwe. Gor typically has average players. What makes them win is adrenaline generated by fan pressure. Thats it! Average skill but purely adrenaline.

      • I guess you will say the same about Man United et Barcelona. So AFC can beat Barcelona on an empty stadium? So Gor reaching Africa ’79 finals n taking the cup in ’87 is all coz of adrenalin. I wonder why you have not told this adrenalin secret to the rest of so called AFC fans.
Gor Mahia is the only Kenyan side that will ever have the title of African champions to it’s name, a title you can only win as a result of pure talent…something AFC will never achieve.

        • Out of topic!…we are talking about AFC destroying talent. Which Gor player has ever succeded after leaving Gor? If those players in the 87 team were so talented, why didnt they replicate their form when they went pro? E.g Dawo

  • Gor Mahia has unfortunately become accustom to mediocrity from its administration. A coach would never be forgiven for poor performance yet here the poker games of poor management continue. Where is the long term and short term strategics for the club? Why does Gor Mahia not have standardized kitting in 2015? I don’t wish to get into financial issues. These failures should be repeatedly highlighted just like poor results would. Otherwise mediocrity has become the club’s standard

Against All Stars, Gor Mania should let a draw suffice as they have a bigger game ahead. At least let All Stars take the initiative to attack in the game as the eyes are on the derby.

Rachier kudos for clearing players’ salaries, i was not amused by the look of the subs when Olunga scored the pena, i thought they were gloomy due to unpaid salaries compounded by being left on the bench.
Now instead of telling us that they have not boycotted work, it would have been better to tell us how your are planning to clear the salaries of the technical staff… just like admin has stated many teams withing Kenya (eg Tusker) and outside will be waiting to pounce on Nuttall, lets pay them.

Your team Bw Rachier needs to marketing and publicize the SACCO more vigorously than even. It is a bold idea that could make us say good bye to financial woes with or without sponsors. The SACCO could grow and grow and grow even upto becoming a bank, with savings, borrowings and investment wings… the potential is there, the fans are there, the politicians are there and the intellectuals are there…

All the best my beloved team VS All Stars, i hope we rest most of our players in readiness for super Sunday Semeji Derby

(And by the way taking the game to Kisumu itakuwa ni kuogopa)
finally someone is sensing an end to the much hyped ‘unbeaten record’, lets wait 4 the match day……

Ooh La la..”MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN AS WE ENJOY THE DERBY DEVOID OF ANY ACT OF HOOLIGANISM”

@Bill Wabz , I can not agree more and true to your point K’Ogalo unbeaten run will be at stake with an hungry and salivating LEOPARD chasing the run away KPL 2015 Champions in waiting with an intention to ruin not the title ambition but the “UNBEATEN” record. If Gor beats All Stars and AFC then officially AFC will be out of KPL 2015 title contention since GOR will attain an assailable 61 points for INGWE to catch up and that might also see the end of LOGA in AFC dugout.

LOGA believes in derbies while NUTTAL is focused on achieving unmatched records. Very interesting derby with two coaches who have some pride and bragging rights to defend. Expect a lot of drama on the touchline for the entire 90+ minutes of play. Personally am worried of a limping leopard based on past experience; but i believe in the current K’Ogalo TB and squad to mastermind and unleash their scoring weapons against INGWE.

It is all system goes with the DERBIES WORLDWIDE. Such encounters do not respect current form book predictions, prevailing performance trend, statistical analysis or the teams table positioning. It is very simple! Just that! a derby is just a derby by all standards; where even the 2-0 halftime lead for Nkana Red Devils (Kelly) against ZESCO (Calabar) ended up with a 2-4 scoreline in favor of the latter. It’s all about the first team that will settle their nerves, remain composed, avoid schoolboy mistakes at all cost and take all the available chances that come their way that will carry the day.

I predict that the result may be like { 3-0,3-2, 2-O, 2-1, 2-2, 1-2, 0-2, 2-3.0-3} ; All the best in NUTTAL Vs LOGA show biz.

@Wabz, I wish Ingwe approached the games from the Nakuru teams with the same zeal. Beating Gor gives you three points out of 90. As of now all that you have is to beat Gor else your season was over a long time ago. Your publicity seeking coach will still have an excuse if you lose. He will definitely say that the team has not been training bla bla bla

@Bill Wabz, that unbeaten record is not ‘hyped’. It is a fact. It is real and is there for the whole world to see. It is s record that is not new in Gor Mahia. We are used to it and are proud of it because we have worked hard for it. At the beginning of the season all teams started on a clean slate and each was given equal chances. We just worked hard and smart and utilized our chances efficiently and prudently. No hard feelings bro.

Nakuru All stars have proved to be a ‘tough’ side but we will overcome them. We need to remain focused throughout the 90 minutes. They have one or two good mid-fielders (Ndirangu included) and about 2 good strikers (Oboya and Babito) but their defense-line is very porous so I know we will overcome them.

On the financial position of our club, let me ask a question and I hope I wont offend someone – what about the money from bread-sales. Is anyone accounting for it or it’s miscellaneous?

Anyway both technical bench and players need to be paid on time and full amounts each and every month without any excuse or seeking sympathy.

Assuming one is earning 50,000 and you pay him in bits it may look like 10,000 at the end of it all. Gor Mahia doesn’t have any asset at all or could I be underrating our lovely club?

Maybe in future we can think of getting a business-minded person to change the financial fortunes of this club.

If it’s sponsorship I think the club already knows who to approach but due to some tribalism or maybe pride in us, we are always avoiding the truth. You have seen in several occasions when we want to go and play outside eg CECAFA, CAF, etc who come to our rescue. Those are the guys to approach to transform the club financially. Aside from politics, I know the president, deputy president, Kidero, etc can give us sponsorship. When election comes we are all free to vote wherever…

@Walter Alando Bwoga you have just siad it all above and in same line President UK has just honored his 2.5M CECAFA promise to K’Ogalo and handed over the money to RACHIER today. So i expect RACHIER to use this goodwill gesture from state-house and pay NUTTAL and the entire TB the pending salary arrears.

      BREAKDOWN

      1, F. NUTTAL 0.7 M [I month Salary plus winning allowances of 5 matches]
      2. BOBBY & OUNA Total of 0.56 M [I month Salary plus winning allowances of 5 matches]
      3. PJOLAWI, OTTAMAX,PHYSIO & OGWENO 0.56 M [I month Salary plus winning allowances of 5 matches]
      4. Then pay players 0.54 M the six matches winning allowance [=18*5000=90,000*6=540,000]
      5. The balance of pay the DRIVER, YOUTHS inclusive of in advance hiring of JERICHO CAMP TOYOYO training facility for remaining period of August 2015.

RACHIER & COMPANY YOU HAVE THE BREAKDOWN TO MOTIVATE THE TB & PLAYERS BEFORE DERBY. MUKITAKA KULA JUST WAIT FOR THE USUAL “STATUTORY DEDUCTIONS” AFTER DERBY.

      NB:
After the DERBY please all pending salary arrears and if need be you can pay some in advance since we will get more than 4.5 million exclusive of “STATUTORY DEDUCTION”,SECURITY,HIRING PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM,AMBULANCE AND HIRING OF NYAYO STADIUM.

The Trailer I find your prediction of { 3-0,3-2, 2-O, 2-1, 2-2, 1-2, 0-2, 2-3.0-3} rather interesting and very neutral and this leaves me wondering why this derby should be so special. Is it because the Log is back or is it because of our unbeaten stretch? As for @Bill Wabz may I ask what new and special thing is there in Efusi to make Gor Mahia panic? I don’t see anything. What I know is that regarding this derby: “Tunayo kazi moja tu, tunayo kazi moja!”.

Personally I consider this upcoming derby as just like any other. The fact that Logarusic is back does not worry me at all because I don’t see what special extras he will bring on board. In fact this man is not being sincere when he says that it is the thought of ending our unbeaten run that made him shelve his industrial action. The thing is, Logarusic has finally come to his senses and realized that his antics will not shake anyone in the Den. In any case by the time he accepted to take the job he knew very well that Efusi is and has been broke for some time now. The truth is that even him he knew that that club is struggling financially and therefore he was ready to offer free labour or may I call it community service. For that matter, he has finally seen the futility of his meaningless course. More truth is that he realized he had run out of ideas, was becoming irrelevant and needed to go underground and save himself from the embarrassment of losing to Nakuru All Stars and the like. Further truth is that Logarusic, the journeyman is worried stiff and trembling under his hide while hoping on Efusi players to miraculously win against Gor Mahia and resuscitate his ego, career and reputation. Sisi Tunayo kazi moja tu, Tunayo kazi moja.

Only one comment I will make: Those demanding that chair explains how he will clear some payments you should also include how you have personally contributed to the welfare of the team, otherwise lets avoid too much hot air. My one wish is lets all come out on Sunday and pay without any hitches, lets make KSH 10M for the team, we are the home team. We are Kogalo, are we not? BY DEEDS.

This article is about All Stars game and Frank Nutall’s status. What does it have to do with AFC game? Is it a case of people looking too far ahead? To me this is clear under estimation of All Stars by the contributors. Let us talk about All Stars for now and then AFC from Thursday. What do you all think?

Let’s take this chance to thank H.E. U. Kenyatta for the continuous support he has been giving the team. We have a lot of our sons who are illustrious and support Gor but when it comes to financial help they are normally nowhere to be see.
As a response to this gesture let our fans also desist from any behaviors that portray us in bad light. The normal thinking in Kenya and other third world countries is that whatever is endorsed by the top leadership is good for business and so is sponsorship.
As Gor let’s desist from associating the team with any political leanings but pursue them at our own time and space
