Gor Mahia considering four players

With striker Paul Odhiambo already captured by Gor Mahia from Kakamega Homeboyz, more signings could soon be confirmed at the club.

According to club CEO George Bwana, the club is considering taking up former Kenya U20 player Joseph Wanyonyi, a former Aspire Academy player as well as Eric Ochieng, a former midfielder with Bandari.

Eric Ochieng

He was however categorical that nothing is concluded yet

-Eric Ochieng has been training with us and we may consider signing him the same to Joseph Wanyonyi who we assessed in January but could not sign him due to complications.

-But nothing is concluded yet, he went on to add

Joel Bataro

He also confirmed former Kenya U20 keeper Joel Bataro of Thika United has been training with the club.

If signed, Bataro will be the third choice keeper, a position left vacant after the recent departure of Zachary Onyango.

Jared Obwoge

Futaa has also reliably learnt that the club has made an approach for former Karungu and West Kenya Striker Jared Obwoge Omwenga now at Chemelil Sugar as a possible signing.

From Wednesday 19 June, the club will have a look at international winger Patrick Oboya in training as a firm consideration for signing.

  • Even if you increase this guy’s salary 1,000 times, he will continue demanding for more.

Give to him a performance based contract, period.

  • I pray this time round he has NOT gone for good !When he left he was very clear – he is NOT sure if he will come back.

Surely to add insult to injury …..it is very unfair to accuse our coach in public for ‘snatching players girlfriends’. where is the evidence ? and how does this auger will the morale of the players, the trust and confidence of the general public and the overall team spirit in the camp……whoever did this girlfriend exposee had ill motives !!!!!!!

@ CREATIVE blogers what do you think about this coach me think this guy is always going back to their country as anegotiation factor. It is just in january when this loga guy salary was increased and infact he is the highest payed coach in kenya TPL,Now again in sporton the guy is sayin he has not signed any contract.Even in our working places whose salary is always increased after 2-3 months?I think this guy is agold digger the league is here and he is still complaining of salary which was reviewed in january.
My opinion is we need to do away with this coach as soon as possible for us to stop wasting time, why must we plead with someone every time he goes back to visit his family? how many times is logas contract signed in ayear?other teams are busy with preparation while with him he is waiting to come back here late with his drama. The TUZO deal is the one bringing all these problems please release this guy to go bobby achukue team final.
This is asabotage by the highest payed coach in kenya, the other teams lack even money to pay coaches look at city stars it forced their coach to go just because of salary issues while another one is bothering us every time and again..
Gor mahia officials look at this matter because this league you are talking about i see us loosing it if this is the coach we have.

About signings i think wanyonyi, obwoge, oboya and pinches can do it ,By the way who knows pinches status to tell us coz am reading somewhere that he might come to gor.oboya can assist us in that left wing with his speed and obwoge is first in last touches.

  • Surely, if the coach is missing then it’s a serious issue. Lucy has issues with AFC EC but is already back after one week recess. Surely let Bobby take over and we continue. Is there nothing that can be done to a coach who is absconding duty?
I have been a supporter of Loga but I’m now fed up with the theatrics of this guy but I believe that if we give Bobby the support we gave Loga then all is not lost

  • gor mahia is a club ran by clowns to say the least. he said she said is the order of the day. so logar says he has no contract, bwana says he has one. so who is telling the truth? depends on who you like. my opinion is that both are leaving out parts of the story. there is no reason logar should just wake up and say he has no contract, and bwana to equally say he has one. the conclusion is that whatever they agreed on earlier is probably an under the table deal that was to be looked on at a later stage. logar would have refused this arrangement from the word go. at the end of the day after accepting the earlier deal the EC will make it look that he is not keeping his part of the deal. that’s my feeling but at the end of this wether my hypothesis is true or not, it is gor that will suffer mainly coz;
    1. as i said b4, officials should not be elected coz of emotions.
    2. poor strategy by these officials where recruitment in gor seems to have stalled.
    3. an EC who’s powers also border on player recruitment.
    4. players who have divided loyalties btwn EC and and tech bench.
so EC if logger is lying, what is hard to come infront of the press and wave the contract infront of everyone. sometimes such steps are necessary, otherwise GOR is on it’s way down coz of a spineless and no idea management.
my advice: EC should have a clear written contract with the coach and should the coach not deliver then EC should summon him and refer to the terms… or sue him.
EC the reason contracts are on paper is for the reason that if one party breaches then the other can go to court. so logar and EC your both being simple cons playing for the public galary. i suppose the public will support the one who shouts loudest.

@NO.7 dan……..when i came out in a previous blog condemning Logas action of leaving when we are supposed to be recruiting and releasing some players, you and a few others came out guns blazing in support of Loga….but today you are pointing an accusing finger at the same guy you were defending…..strange!!!!!

Wasn’t he supposed to be coming back on 18th?if your wholehearted support for him was justified, kindly explain to us why he isn’t back yet!!

@Jarae : Roy Okal joined SoNy Full time. But he did not measure up and so was released by SoNy. He is one of those early bloomers who looks promising in their teens buy fades once they become adults. Agwanda is another one.

  • @fred I defended Loga’s rights to go on leave but on not coming back as agreed I will not support him. Though i still need to get the facts right but surely holding the team at ransom is stretching things too far.
Whoever is asking for Pinches should know that Ingwe has already paid 450K for his services. All the same I believe the target players are good enough for us.
For our part as fans we need to support the team irrespective of the coach.
On another note the next derby for which we are the home team will be played behind closed doors. That means loss of revenue

  • this is a poor negotiation tactic by Loga, the EC should just go ahead and start the recruitment process for a new coach…you will see him scurrying back if not for the love of the team or money then for his considerable vast harem of women he has in Kenya.

Bro Joshu do you need such a person for a coach? By the way is it true he is demanding more salary? I won’t be suprised! But is it true?
