Gor Mahia cruise past Chemelil Sugar
Gor Mahia have not taken the foot off the accelerator pedal. They continued their brilliant run with a 2-0 win over tough Chemelil Sugar. Timothy Otieno and Kenneth Muguna, both of whom had brilliant games in the mashemeji derby, were both on target.

The host started off more intent and took only ten minutes to find the breakthrough.
Otieno’s goal
Timothy Otieno latched on a well weighted pass from George Odhiambo before tucking a low effort beneath an onrushing Jairus Adira.
The team almost went 2-0 up ten minutes later as Meddie Kagere forced Adira to a fine save from a low drive in 22nd minute.
The wait for a second was to end after series of two corner which Miller’s rear guard proved up to task with.
Muguna doubles lead
It finally came as Kenneth Muguna reacted quickest to stab home after Adira had spilled a low drive from Innocent Wafula in to his path.
For a second time running, Gor were forced to a first half change as Timothy’s involvement was cut short with an injury sustained in build up to his goal.
The striker was replaced by Oliver Maloba at turn of the 36th minute mark
Millers chance
Chemelil’s only effort at goal in the half saw with MUstapaha Adebayo forcing a speculative strike sail over Boniface Oluoch bar.
The second half saw a handful of clear-cut chances worked out with Miller coming close form a left wing delivery that flashed across Oluoch’s post with nolone to turn home.
Gor on their part looked dangerous from a deployed Innocent Wafula, who plied the right flank as starter ahead of Karim Nizigiyimana.
The Ugandan and his compatriot walusimbi combined for a 70th minute effort that was however thwarted as latter saw his shot blocked.
Trailing took a slight tweaking edge going forward with Laban Gambareko inclusion aiding their forward surge.
The team will however left to contend with a defeat on away grounds with two goals conceded for the first time this season wrapping up their second loss of the season

The comforting thing is that we can still get goals when our two imports are missing. I like the confidence of the players who have replaced them. It shows that all players can deliver given the opportunity. The rotation policy seems to be working where even Shakava can be benched as well as Nzigimana. How I wish Bonnie could also be benched once in a while. Kudos again

Was at Thika stadium and witnessed the match. We played pretty well a build up from wea we left after crushing ingwe. Chemelil resulted to breaking play the hard way and clearing there ranks and files with long balls so as not to concede more goals in the second half. Muguna was Brilliant…innocent Wafula Nostalgic and Amazing…Maloba whjo came in for injured Timothy was Ecstatic (That boy is Super Talented)…Kagere was always a threat and was just unlucky not to be on the score sheet…Finally Wendo once again stood tall and firm in the holding position perfectly until Philemon came in.Congrats to the entire team N keep on scoring as we are and Trophy is Ours by Mid Season Break…#Wangoremawahero…#Wamor

Good morning the people of Kogalo. I am very delighted that we have been able to string two wins in a row. We thank God for this win. My appeal is to those who are fond of making desparaging remark against players to desist from it. It’s not only unprofessional but reeks of poor and adulterated journalistic judgement.
Second clean sheet in a row and another convincing scoreline. The derby goal seems to have resurrected Timo. May he continue that rich vein of form. When JaUsenge comes back he has to be razor sharp because the competition is delivering the goods. The rest should have boosted his confidence, I hope and pray. Congrats to the players,fans and of course, the man of the hour Ze Maria. When we struggle, I always blame the coach so it is only in order that when we are beating the hell out of teams, I give him full credit!!
Papa may have been too forthright and left no doubts in our minds that he is equally aggrieved by the postings of Machienglo. Compartmentalization of GMFC supporters and bloggers has and will never work. In the same GMFC you find supporters in the churches as well as the in the prisons. It does not matter so long as their support the club.

@machienglo was right in his posting because Gor best thrives on pressure for good results.The earlier jausenge accepts this the better, he should go back to the drawing board and devise ways of scoring goals or creating chances.

However much we try to canvass things, reality remains that we have registered wins without our 4m problem.
This is Gor Mahia. We don’t handle mediocrity with kid-gloves. A striker’s role is to score goals. We fielded the wrong strikers against Western Stima, Tusker and Mathare and everyone saw the result.
Whoever feels that he has to be fielded due to his celebrity status should review his priorities. Shakava and Nizigiyimana were benched but Gor still won.
So?
Ze Maria has discovered the right elements upfront so he is using them. Through our criticism, Timothy has improved. Congratulations Timothy! Transfer window is fast approaching. Blunt strikers should shape up or pack and go.
