Gor Mahia dissolves SoNy Sugar

If there were any doubts that Kogalo were back in form, those doubts were dissolved on Sunday afternoon along with the hopes of Sony Sukari as Gor Mahia beat them 2-1. The match was graced by Prime Minister Raila Odinga along with newly elected KFF chairman Sam Nyamweya.

The match was played in heavy rain. It was Kogalo who started brightly mastering the conditions with Edwin Lavatsa forcing a save from te Sony Keeper.  The first goal came via a freekick from Ivan Anguyo after Kevin Omondi was fouled. Substitute Dan Makori scored the second from a Moses Odhiambo assist,, sending the crowd into raptures. Sony pulled one back late but it was too late as Kogalo held on for the three points.

The win earned Kogalo a measure of satisfaction as Sony is one of the teams that beat them during the dry spell. The win also marked time that Kogalo has scored more than one goal against a top tier team since they beat arch rivals Ingwe 3-1. Gor Mahia are now 5th in the table with 41 points and will be hoping to hold on to their position so as to play in next year’s super 8 contest.

Tactical Approach is making the players produce their best as you can see the line up is complementing players in different positions……This is positive and Hopefully we can carry on with this Display of Character and purpose….I believe we can mount a serious challenge in continental stage with just a sensitive reinforcement that cultivates around Mental toughness and skills…To All Gor Malo Malo…Family

  • Great results.

A win against Ingwe, a draw against Chemelil, a win against Sofapaka and a win against Sony, the boys have worked hard. This is great. These are some of the toughest teams on this land and in a space of several days, the boys have done exceptionally well.

    Congrats.

Congrats to all the fans who continue to give full support to the team too.

  • Finally we fans can watch a mature football, and end up winning, placing Kiplagat upfront is paying dividends and Anguyo is working heavily as a centre half, . .and the fans? . .terrific! . . . kudos to all the football lovers and let us keep the spirit.

Good result we’re improving tactically day by day or rather match by match. Our forwards need more and more drilling on put away one on one situations, they also seem goal shy preferring to pass rather than shoot at the goal. On the midfield it needs beefing up, Gatusso seems to start brilliantly then fade away as the game proceeds. Our aim shld be to control the game and dominate the opponent. Aluta continua Gor K’galo

as someone put it, what we were lacking was the industrial Phsycho;ogy from the technical bench, now the coach is getting it.
by the way I feel that Kevin Ochieng is lacking concentration, whats happened to him?
recruitment should invlove more stoky strikers, mature midfielders and a very composed keeper.may be two flak defenders. otherwise am very happy with the way Awono reads the game and plays around with His boys. look at Anguyo….Kiplangat……Kevin Omondi……Lavatsa…..mervelous. keep it up family.

It was a good.but I have notice something is wrong which must be corrected. The soda vendors some of them sell alcohol at the mainstand but am happy coz the Gor treasure saw it and she had to be removed frm stadia. The other thing screening is below par.what i may suggest we should only allow TUZO VENDORS because they are our official sponsors as per screening am ready to offer advice.Taking alcohol in stadia usually result to goons hence penality to club.I must thank the treasure for quick intervention.to fans we keep vigil and root out rotten eggs.
