Out of curiosity…which contribution should take precedence, the under 19 project or the “sponsorship”cover project now that we don’t have Tuzo??

Or is this project above a cover for both?we may need a clarification for transparency and accountability purposes!

  • i think this is good for gor mahia. instead of criticizing this effort let us contribute. i will use the mpesa option. what i ask for is that the club make public what it is collecting and how it is utilised. if it’s for taking ten officials abroad then i will loose interest.
i welcome the under 19 team think and this is one great idea. the tusk now is how do we sustain this team. a channel has been opened for us to help. i will make my contribution every month.great great great.

This is a noble idea that should be extended to both the senior and junior teams. Some of us who were asking for this should now have no excuse apart from asking whether the senior team is catered for.
One improvement is that the ‘redundant’ process of sending another SMS message to the foundation after paying is not necessary as the information can be obtained from either Safcom or the Coop Bank in terms of statements. Otherwise this is the way forward. Even Barca was managed and financed by fans for a long time and even supporting Unicef without a Shirt sponsor. We can do it

Members on this blogged have been very vocal about this MPESA initiative. Finally here it comes. It is now time to walk the talk.
Kutoa ni moyo wala si utajiri. Let us all pull together on this unreservedly.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo

  • this is one of the greatest initiatives ever taken and nimewajibika just sent kshs.100… now can kogalo bring us together such that we are able to do business as we support the team?
Now for the senior team if we can get 10,000 fans to pay kshs.500.00 per month or ksh.6,000.00 per year and get annual tickets or monthly tickets we will be home and dry as we will be able to raise a clean kshs.5,000,000 per month (enough to run the club) or 60,000,000 per year bila stress and then any shirt sponsor will approach us with respect and we will be a great club remember gate collections bado haziko included.what do you think good people?

I think at long last we have found a solution the fans were crying for. Just got my confirmation from Corp Bank for my contribution.
We now need to plan to move it to the next level. For example why not have a GOR loyalty card with any of the BIG supermarkets such as Nakumatt, Uchumi, Ukwala, Naivas etc such that for every shilling you spend there a portion goes to the club. This will also mean we will have registerd members digitally as well as raising funds for the club.
The other proposal could be the use of Gor branded credit/debit cards. Just like we have for Arsenal and Manchester United provided by some local banks. If we put our house in order financially we will not be going out there to lure sponsors but they will be knocking on our doors to be let in.

@Jakoyo your first words are discouraging, a niuncience. This method of raising funds for the club is not begging! Remember you are not forced to participate, ‘kutowa ni moyo’. You are the club and if you think the club is begging then it is you begging.

@ Jakoyo. For once I agree with you. These guys are begging because they don’t want to put proper structures. They are just scratching the surface. No leadership.

FOLLOWERS OF THE MIGHTY GOR MAHIA OF EAST AFRICA I HAVE THIS IDEA AIMED AT REBUILDING OUR BELOVED CLUB TO BE THE “BARCELONA” OF AFRICA. PLIZ LET US CRITICALLY PUT INTO DEBATE. IT IS ABOUT RECRUITMENT OF PAYING –UP SUPPORTERS. IT GOES LIKE THIS..LET US AV 2 CATEGORIES OF RECRUITMENT 1..APPROACHING PROMINENT,SUCCESSFUL PERSONALITIES IN ALL SECTORS OF THE SOCIETY WHO R CONNECTED TO GOR MAHIA IN A WAY WHETHER IN KENYA OR OUTSIDE KENYA…..THERE R SEVERAL JOKANYANAM IN THIS CATEGORY.LET US PROFILE THEM. THEY MAY ALSO CONNECT TO OTHERS TO APPROACH FOR MEMBERSHIP.
2…THE SECOND TYPE OF RECRUITMENT SHOULD BE THRO’ APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP BY THOSE WHO R INTERESTED. THIS PROCESS SHOULD BE MARKETED VIA THE MEDIA THAT TARGETS OUR SUPPORT BASE …RADIO RAMOGI,LAKE VICTORIA,NAM LOLWE,MAYIENGA,RADIO JAMBO,RADIO MAISHA,THE TREND OF LARRY MADOWO,RADIO SUNSET HOMABAY, GULF RADIO RACHUONYO AMONG OTHERS. APPLICATION SHOULD BE EITHER BY POST OR ONLINE. IF WE CAN RECRUIT JUST 200 THOUSAND DEPOSITING KSH 100 /- EACH A MONTH WE RAISE 100× 200 THOUSAND × 12MONTHS=240 MILLION KENYA SHILLINGS PER YEAR. THIS WILL TRANSFORM GOR MAHIA INTO A GIANT OF AFRICAN FOOTBALL WE MAY EVEN FIND OURSELVES IN THE CLUB WORLD CUP..
    ……..LET US NOW DEBATE…..
