Gor Mahia has the most lethal striking partnership

It is clearly evident that the most lethal striking partnership in the league thus far is that of Ugandan Danni Sserunkuma and Rama Salim, both playing for Gor Mahia. Danni’s brace against AFC Leopards over the weekend took his total goal tally to 12, placing him as the second best scorer in the league, five goals behind leader John Baraza of Sofapaka.
His strike partner at K’Ogalo Rama Salim has shaken the net ten times, bringing the total tally of the goals between them to 22. The only other strike partnership that comes closest to them is that of Jesse Were, Francis Ouma and Andy Tololwa with the trio having 20 goals between them.
The third best attacking duo is that of AFC Leopards’ Allan Wanga and Mike Barasa both of whom have netted six goals each and a total of 12 between themselves.
Ulinzi Stars assistant Captain Evans Amwoka is the third best scorer in the league, with his brace against Oserian taking his tally to 11 goals.
Tusker’s Jockins Atudo and Ulinzi’s Mulinge Ndetto are the two top scoring defenders, both of whom have four goals. Atudo has three goals from open play and one from the spot while Mulinge has two from both open play and penalties.
AFC Leopards is the highest scoring team having netted a total of 34 goals in 25 matches, followed by Thika United who have scored 33 times. Ulinzi Stars is third having celebrated a goal 32 times in 25 outings. Tusker comes 4th with 31 goals while KCB completes the Top five with 30 goals.
Rangers FC have the worst conceding rate in the league having sipped in a total of 44 goals shared between all their three keepers. Mathare is second with 31 goals against while Thika United is third with 29 goals against.
Tusker FC has the meanest defense having only conceded 12 goals this season.
That aside, our focus is in our match with Rangers. It’s my sincere prayer that the golden boot will be taken by a player from GM.
Statistics count for nothing when the teams meet!!
We have to concentrate and take the Rangers match seriously, and play as if we are playing in the finals of a knock-out cup.
This team has surprised us before …. we still remember the 0-3 thrashing that they dealt us last year !

SALIM AND SSERUNKUMA: THE BEST EVER STRIKING PAIR IN RECENT TIMES
Gor Mahia sensational strikers, Salim and Sserenkuma are arguably the best striking pair in the Tusker Premiet League and this opinion can be corrobarated by the goals tally above.
I must say, since their signing in the beginning of the season, the two boys have been terrorising defenders from the TPL clubs. Twenty goals is no mean achievement. I urge them to continue the onslaught till the last whistle of the season.
As I have always said. it is not the effort but results that is normally rewarded. When we count the number of goals each individual player has netted, it only then we shall gauge their accomplishment.
Back to the previous debate on who should contribute the money should coach Logarusic demand pay raise. Is it the fans, club or sponsor? I totally this idea of fans going deeper into their pockets. Guys, everyone knows that if you multiplly one thousand fans each contributing ksh 1,000 equals to a staggering ksh 10,000,000. But as they say, it is easier said than done. The strategy is workable but hard to implement because their is nothing to tie the contributor to meet his/ her contractual obligation. It is not anchored in any law therefore unsustainable.
Our best bet towards this end to continue strengthening our systems to prevent sleaze especially on ticket sales. We must also be in a position to utilize money extended to us by donors. We can only achieve this by holding our leaders to acccount for their actions. We can also look afresh at our decades old club constitution in order to be in tandem with the modern football trends and our aspirations.
@ 4: collins (future) fate is or was rather too predictable. this guy will mess his own carrier. i hope he reads the fate of former footballers(recently on the nation). this would be a good time for him to thnk seriously about his future life. this type of behaviour is what has contributed alot to the standard of kenya football and has messed the carrier ( n names) of local coaches. in gor we all know disipline was a major contributor to perfomance. most local coaches cannot control this coz one they are ready to work for peanuts and the club managements feel they can be fired at any time. the coaches are thus left to work with wayward footaballers who feel they are ‘stars’. touch one of them and u’ll see a ‘riot’. ask sammy omollo, i’m sure he is one coach(with zedi) who can relate to this. this is one reason why foreign coaches seem to excell, one demand they have is I WILL BE IN CHARGE…TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. that the major reason why gor is now doing well.
My opinion on keeping the coach.
1.Let the club come up with elaborate structures that will tighten gate collections and sale of club merchandise.
2.Seek another sponsor to supplement what we have from Tuzo
3.Seek ways of coming up with other money making ventures that will boost the clubs coffers.
Once we have all these systems in place,then we shouldn’t have payment problems.The onus will thus remain on us fans to always turn up in large numbers to cheer the team on like we did during the derby.Gate collections then will be a major boost to the club….if properly handled and well accounted for!!
Collins okoth , Collins okoth !!!!!!!!11 terrible for you you left home for greener pasture where are you now kindly write aletter of apology to gor nation and be admitted to our fold and you will learn quickly to be disciplined otherwise you are career less . on the issue of the coach let us come up with a structure to have akitty where by fans can contribute maybe 100 bob for 2 months once we have a substantial amount we can seek out sponsors but we must have something like a consolidated fund to help if the usual source of gate collection is not available
Objective no One is to win the the league. Contract of the coach will distruct us from the main objective. After that then lets sit down and see what is possible and what is not. If we win the league even the kind of coach that will apply for Gor’s job must be of higher calibre. Gor is bigger than any one of us

As said above let’s concentrate on winning our NEXT game then the next, five times. After that we will be in a good mood to discuss the coaching staff renumeration amongst other issues. Let’s not concentrate on the coaches renumeration and forget that the players will also need an uplift
@8jb i had proposed proposed before that we fans of kogalo make such contributions to boost our revenue. But this can only be done with proper structures. Even if we have donors let us also show our comitment. Am sure many fans and members will be positive.
