Gor Mahia held by City Stars

courtesy of michezoafrika.com

Kawangware based City Stars again proved a hard nut to crack by holding league leaders Gor Mahia to a barren draw in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The teams had also settled for a similar score line in the first leg encounter.

City Stars launched their first attack just three minutes into the game. Jimmy Bageya was first caught offside then Dennis ‘Wise’ Okoth had a shot  go off target.

In the 8th minute, Gor Mahia’s Innocent Mutiso sent a nice cross that was met by Anthony Akumu who shot wide.

In the next move, a long ball forward intended to reach Kevin Omondi was intercepted by City keeper Kagunzi to neutralize the lurking danger.

Gor’s Edwin Lavatsa will have himself to blame after blasting wide from a perfect Innocent Mutiso pass in the 11th minute.

In the 23rd minute, Kevin Omondi found space to run then setup Kiongera with a good cross but the latter’s shot was too feeble to trouble the keeper.

In the 26th minute, Eric Ochieng sent a thunderbolt that hit the crossbar to deny Gor the opener.

Ten minutes to the break, City Stars had a  chance through Justus Bawsweti whose free kick  went straight to keeper Jerim Onyango.

Paul Kiongera closed the first half chapter with another wide shot.

Second Half

After the break, Gor Mahia began from where they had left by piling pressure that resulted in  a corner that fell on Donald Mosoti’s leg but he shot wide.

A bad challenge on Arthur Museve by Paul Kiongera meant the City Stars veteran  had to be stretched off to receive medical attention while Kiongera registered his name in the yellow cards list. Raymond Omondi later replaced Museve.

In the 57th minute, Jimmy Bageya was yellow carded for complaining about a wrong offside call. Three minutes later, the Ugandan paved way for John Makwata.

Gor Mahia’s  then made inroads into the City box but Eric Ochieng’s dive in the 65th minute only earned him a yellow card booking.

In the 68th minute, Paul Kiongera sent a pin point cross to Kevin Omondi who managed to round the keeper but with an empty net inviting him, he shot wide. Omondi would then watch in disbelief as the woodwork denied him the opener from a free kick four minutes later.

Coach Bobby Williamson tried to unlock the deadlock by bringing in  Moses Odhiambo for the  hardworking Innocent Mutiso. The dreadlocked striker’s major contribution was in the 90th minute when he dribbled into the box then found Kevin Omondi who squandered the opportunity.

The draw means Gor Mahia has now dropped four points in their last two games. They still top the log with  37 points, 6 above second placed Thika United.City Stars has 25 points from 19 matches.

Gor Mahia fans clash with police at Kasarani
Updated on 04/08/13 | By MICHEZOAFRIKA
Kasarani Stadium turned into a battle zone on Sunday afternoon after a small section of angry Gor Mahia fans engaged police following a barren draw with City Stars in a Kenyan Premier league match. This is the second time City Stars has held Gor Mahia this season.
The agitated fans were protesting the dropping of two points, which brings to four the total points dropped in the last two games

Kiongera and Lavatsa just need to get more serious.
Our next match against Muhoroni will be another goalless draw unless the Tech. Bench can move quickly and talk some sense to our forward line. Where is Wanyonyi of Aspire academy? Why did we sign Oboya if we cannot make maximum use of him? A player like Paul Odhiambo, to me would be more serious than the joke we are seeing in Lavatsa and Kiongera in fact RM Kiongera may collect his 5th yellow card against Muhoroni and that will see him suspended in our match against Efusi.

We may have some 2 weeks before our next league assignment. Tech. Bench should use that window to sort out this striking problem. Those strikers who believe they are superstars should be benched while allowing an opportunity for the little unknowns.

Also,we are missing our two first team players, its crucial at this time,we could not have allowed them to go at this point, this we will regret.

Guys we will diagree on this but to me Kiongera and Wiper are putting in more than 100% and that is good. That is the case with the defence as well. There are some players who are non-existent in the field and they need to pull up their socks. How and why fans ahould clash with police for losing two points. The police were not the cause.
The problem that will come to haunt is this issue of ‘GINI WASEKAWO’. we still have time to come back on focus and our fans must also know that we are not to win all games. We need to win 8 of them to be declared champions

I think he has a six months contract signed by this management. He might leave right at the end of his contract just when he is fit to play…well done Gor for training him to go and play for another team

@Gor Player, what problem do you have with Oboya getting his fitness back? Will it reduce your fitness or stop you also from going to another club? When a player shoots and it hits the post jow do you declare that he was purposely not trying to score? We can tell Waiganjos from afar.

@ Dan, it doesnt make any sense to sign a player that has not played for 8 months to a six months contract. Do you think he will think twice if AFC or Tusker give him a better contract in January(after he attains his fitness at Gor)?

The player who was supposedly “injured” and could not play against Tusker missed to score with nobody but the net facing him.. My friend, think twice

Gor Player I am forced to finally post a comment about you and your relentless vendetta. As has been observed by other bloggers I want to put it to you that you are up to no good. How dare you call yourself a Gor player with all that kind of negativity? If at all you are a genuine Gor player (which I highly doubt) then why not just take a walk? What are you still doing in the team with that kind of dissatisfaction? You must have realized that Gor Mahia fans in this blog post have not taken you seriously, so why don’t you forever keep your peace? Dan is right that “we can tell Waiganjos from far” and you are one of them. What I know is you are not Omwami Omusala; you are not Bill Wabz; you are not Vitoo and you may not be Ingo. That leaves only one possibility: our resident madman. Please take my advice and either shut up or just take a walk.

Take my advice ‘Gor Player’ if you are truly a K’Ogalo player then what you are doing is only tantamount to sabotage and can best be described as an act of cowardice. There is actually no “rot” you are “exposing from inside”. If your concerns are genuine then why don’t you follow the existing official channels to have them addressed? How will posting comments in the blog help your course? This is not an official site and no EC is under any obligation to act on grievances posted by a faceless complainant. If you believe you have your facts right then you can maturely and responsibly register them with the relevant office instead of fomenting discord in the blog. The most you can get from this blog is bloggers’ sympathy or insults like I read the other day. Be your own man and act responsibly for “what you love”.

Yes. Arrest people who commit crime. The seats did not stop Gor Mahia from winning. Why rip them off? Police should arrest these vandals. Tear gassing them will never work. Just arrest a few if you cannot apprehend the whole lot and let them serve as an example.

@Ingo please note it is Efusi fans who teach Gor Mahia fans these things just the same way your people grow bhang in Kakamega forest then introduce and sell it to our people, yet when when our people smoke it then become manner less, your people start acting innocent and very clean.

Apart from scoring I think the guys did all they can. I cannot emember having ever dominated a team like we did. The irony is that Korea is the coach for the Gor U19.
Our only problem is that we have fans who will criticize today and tomorrow celebrate a win by the same person being criticized. Let these issue not affect the playing unit.
Can we all listen to @Pod Antie. He has some good comments. My only worry worry is that gor and Ingwe were on probation for the fracas during the derby and what happens if you repeat the same problem is that the punishment can be more severe. @16 ODOUR12 the excuse that City stars were the home team and responsible for security will not buy since that is obvious. The issue is that the Gor fansare alleged to have commited the crimes. Ingwe Vs Chemelil at the same venue witnessed that and Ingwe had to pay for the seats. Some of our fans actually need to ‘grow up’. A game has ended how can you change the results. A human being has the capacity to learn but these fans are not able. We have the lesson from last year and two years ago when there was a similar ‘GINI WASEKAO’ slogan only to miss it. This time all we needed was calmness from the fans and if we have issues with the EC we wait for them outside the stadium and sort our our issues. As it is we might even play the derby behind closed doors. I would actually do that if I was TPL. Gor would be the biggest losers and am not sure if those fans would love it. And I can bet that is what is going to happen

    Reply
  • Out of eleven 8 must be won to lift the title, its a tall order but at least the coach knows that also, lets hope it will happen.
Now these criminals who break seats what happens? I have always thought that ticket prices should be made a little bit more expensive to be a little bit more prohibitive to lock some people out coz if you are fan and you know that hooliganism will cost the club both money and reputation you would not do it and to the police its high time you stop using tear gas and arrest the crooks identify them then publish their picture so that they are banned from entering stadia anywhere in Kenya like for 5 years you know like a prison sentence and for those with criminal convictions be sent to jail, remember what they did in England?

So if ingwes fans have done the same acts in the past as per your allegations ,does that justify Gors fans to do the same? What you are saying is analogus to saying that your neighbour steals so you can also steal. That is stupid my brother! Think my brother think!

With regards to arresting the misbehaving fans, both of you seem to have no practical clue here. What will 50 Police Officers do to a crowd of 1000+? These officers are basically tasked to do what is called CROWD CONTROL. Just look at how they are armed and you will have to agree with me; a shield, barton, tear gas and guns with rubber bullets. If you want to arrest and convict these people, then you have to install survellance cameras period. Police alone wont cut it…..and any way, if you take such people to court , who will be your witness? The other misbehaving high fans? Please…..Gors fans have been misbehaving of late and something has to be done. From Muthurwa to Karaturi game to city stars game.

@ barefoot, If you know where the bhang is grown in Kakamega (KK), why dont you report it to the police so that your high brothers and sisters stop costing your team point and fines …..thats if Oguda decides to do anything

  • The behaviour of Gor Mahia fans should be condemned by all real kogalo fans. What I saw in the stadium is unacceptable and this is the reason why Kpl and football federation should take drastic decision to either ban the fans or the club heavily. When will our fans learn to behave during and after the game? A draw is not a bad result but a reality check for the technical bench, EC and fans to strategise on the next course of action but not to destroy chairs.

I propose that Gor Mahia fans should be banned form attending at least four home matches! And all these matches should be played in empty stadiums without fans and let us see if they can go ahead to destroy their properties including beating their wives, children, brothers, sisters and parents.

Banning of fans must be done immediately as it has happened in Egypt, Italy and Greece. This act of thuggery, hoologanisms and primitive must be condemned. In football there is either a win, draw or a loss and we fans must accept the outcome of the games. Of late Gor Mahia fans have been misbehaving for example look at the cases of over celebrations along jogoo road and Muthurwa. The best medicine for thuggery is to punish the club heavily and officials are also to blamed. Why should officials appeal against bans proposed by IDAC to federation office?

On the results against City Stars, I blame the office, technical Bench and fans due to the following reasons:-
    1. why do the club sell dependable and skillful players at mid-season when the club is doing very well to win the league? The absence Rama and Danny two creative players was really felt and office should take blame. Rama and Kiongera were combining very well and this has killed creativity in the striking force. Drop balls by kiongera requires someone who is ever present behind like Rama to score. We are not scoring due to poor game plans and execution strategies which should come from the bench. TB members are not serious at all with substitutions and fielding of players. Players are just shooting wild and wide without thinking what to do with the easy dead balls.

Additionally, We can’t sell our good players and expect to win games.

    2. It is too early to blame Williamson the coach but Bobby Ogola and Ouna that have been with the team. These last two technical bench members were supposed to have gone with Logarusic as Bob Ogola had also interest as being the head coach. I can see these two technical bench members failure to help the new coach to settle down to business.

Why do we blame Kevin Omondi and Lavasta? why can’t we use players signed during the June 2013 transfer window? Bobby Ogola why did you recommend to office to sign the players you can’t use? We have Paul Odhiambo, Wanyonyi and two other players that were signed but have never featured in the game.

    3. Fans are messing up with the team performance by over doing the celebrations. Real fans should not destroy people or public properties. We and our oppenents all need to use these facilities in our or their next matches.

    4. The so called “Giniwasekao” theme is really not returning glory to God but to ourselves fans. Gor fans should humble themselves in victories, draws, and loses and our Almighty God will vindicate us. We never learnt from past mistakes. We keep on doing the same mistakes. Something is terribly wrong with our fans. Let us always remember to return glory and honor to the Almighty God always.

I repeat my earlier call to have Gor Mahia play in empty stadium in least four home matches as this will be a good lesson for our fans to refrain from thuggeries and hooliganisms in future. Let the punishment be severe and any fans caught destroying the seats though the cameras should be arrested and be made to pay heavy fines or jailed. B

How do you measure perfomance? Hit the bar three times and ball possession at 65% yet some dare say the team did not perform? An unlucky day is just that and you cannot change it. This was City Stars and those who care should know that there is a bogey team to every other team. Does anyone ever remember Kisumu Posta’s story with Ingwe. It was not a big team if you ask me but was a real terror to Leopards any day anywhere. These thing happen in football.

But am annoyed at three things, the departure of Rama Salim and Dan Sserunkuma at the same time and at a critical time like this, how did this happen? Secondly the casual way in which this Kiongera is picking yellow cards. If he does not play against Ingwe because of this, I will have a lot of things to think and say about him. Why did he go fo that card yesterday, yet he had Owino clear to pass to?

Third and last please so called fans do not embarass the team by the behavior displayed yesterday. There are better ways to protest at certain things. It does not make sense to break seats the way it happened yesterday and it does not achieve anything, just tarnishes the name of the club. This barbaric behaviour must stop. And indeed where were the police, isn’t this the moment you arrest criminals without mercy? What did you do,cops?

This Coach needs to prove that he is not a joker. The title is on sight we need to grab it by maximizing fully on every opportunity.

I must say we were on top of things but lady luck did not smile at us thus we ended up dropping points. Generally we wasted too many chances and we cant say we lost because Ssurunkuma and Rama were absent…

Then came the substitute of man of the match (Mutiso). If the technical bench were really watching the match as myself, they should have brought in Paul Odhiambo for Lavasta and if at all it was necessary to bring in Odhis Lucky Dube, then Erick Ochieng was supposed to pave way. But then where is Oboya?

Anyway I still believe we have the momentum to lift the trophy; twelve matches to go is a lot. Let us give the coach chance to perform. I was surprised some people are already calling for the sacking of the coach; what a joke!

On violence, I join fellow bloggers in condemning the same. Why do you break seats? We are too ambitious and full of unrealistic expectations. We cant win every time but let us approach each match with an open mind, knowing it can b e a win, a draw or a loss. If you only expect a win then you are not a true fan.

In fact from the above post i have come to realize that most bloggers here in are just a bunch of pretenders or pre-mature footballers of do not understand a thing about the game.

“Nyinyi ma fala wa ocha” we are tired with your village mindset and it is high time your grow up from your village-like mindset to real sportsmanship. Was BARCA not tormented by BAYERN despite all odds and how about BAYERN Vs CHELSEA. How much confidence did it caused BAYERN after the misses by their stars ROBBEN penalty during playing time until he absconded taking the ultimate penalty shoot outs.

FANS-FANS YOU ARE THE MAIN SOURCE COSTING K’OGALO AND NOT THE PLAYERS.!! ESPECIALLY THE VILLAGERS AND THIS BLOGGERS UP HERE.

How else could some foolish minded-people start calling players names after such a wonderful display of soccer. Since when if you have been watching GOR playing this season have we seen such a wonderful penetration in our forward line. Lack of goal is just part of the game. It happened to ULINZI as leopards run with 3 points at last minute and as such it can still happen to any other team.

AND I REPEAT IF YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE HEAT THEN SHIP OUT AND COME BACK WHEN THINGS ARE IN CONTROL AS IT HAS BEEN THE CASE.

There are players who are wasteful, yes they will score but after wasting 10 chances unfortunately modern football and life in general only recognizes people who take opportunities that come their way and is always very hash to underachievers.Lavatsa needs to work on his first touch and composure in front of goal then he will be a good striker, kevo needs also to work on his composure in the D area, while Kiogera must seriously work on positioning ,first touch and aerial balls while the TB must ensure that they do not lose points back to back Williamson can borrow a leaf from his fellow scot the legendary sir Alex, but am happy that now we have a good built up play.

  • I would advice the funs not to push the players too far. We played well yesterday unfortunately the goals did not come.

If we put our players through such pressure, where they play all games as finals and making all manner of errors and look desperate, we can forget the title.

After the game, they all lay on the field either totally fatigued, desperate, disappointed. I saw this happen in the 2011 season when we drew with City Stars and lost the title to Ulinzi. I THINK WHAT IS IMPORTANT AT THIS STAGE IS to get SOMEONE TO HELP OUR PLAYERS AND THE TECHNICAL BENCH BUILD THEIR MENTAL STRENGHT, RESILIENCE, TEAM LEADERSHIP ESPECIALLY FROM THE CAPTAIN JERRY IS ALSO CRITICAL. JERRIM SHOULD BE CALM, CONTENT AND IN CONTROL. JERRIM IS THE CAPTAIN AND HIS ROLE VERY CLEAR – AN ARBITER. I SEE KIONGERA DOING THIS ALOT IN THE FIELD OF PLAY. ALL THE SAME IT WILL BE IMPORTANT FOR JERRIM TO ENSURE HE MOTIVATE HIS PLAYERS AND STOP VENTING HIS ANGER WHICH PROVOC FANS – HE GOT A YELLOW YESTERDAY FOR THIS.

ON THE FUNS, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MATCHES YET TO COME AND WE SHOULD BE PATIENT, afc, tusker, thika are all in the same league and will face equal challenge.

ONE THING NOT TO FORGET – THE SUBSTITUTION OF INNOCENT MUTISO (WITH RASTA) DEFLATED THE PRESSURE GOR HAD BUILT ON CITY. THE TECH BENCH SHOULD SOMETIME KNOW BETTER WHEN TO SUBSTITUTE PLAYERS

    ALL THE BEST GOR

How do you describe a striker who has been in the kpl for 4 seasons and is yet to score 5 goals in a season? Improving or stagnant? What of a striker who has featured for more than 17 matchases to date and has scored fewer goals than a defender? It’s high time we call a spade a spade. Mambo ya kubembeleza watu wazima tuache

I agree with Ogango… The team did everything right.. It was just not their day. The game was very entertaining as it is supposed to be but the fans are just too obsessed with goals to give credit where it is due. You could see how thirsty they were for goals..

At least the last few bloggers look like they are more ‘sobber’ and not as frastrated as some of us who commented first. The truth is that the team really went in search of that elusive goal. Why else would the players lie prostrate after the game if not because they felt they did everything to win the match but lady luck did not smile their way. Why couldn’t all of us fans feel the pain with them?
Our fans must grow up. We should know that we can still lose some matches and so do Ingwe, Tusker and Thika. For example Tusker will play Thika this weekend. Someone, if not all, will lose points and so is Ingwe Vs Tusker and so is Gor Vs Tusker, Thika, Sofapaka, KCB etc. We just have to be ahead of the pack and we will all be celebrating in November , including the fans who are tainting our name

@54 Jamaranda, WHY CAN’T POLICE ARREST SELLERS AND CONSUMERS OF BHANG & ALCOHOL. ITS ILLEGAL AT STADIA AND PARTAKERS ARE COMMITTING A CRIME & SHOULD BE ARRESTED.
KPL/CLUBS & FKF SHOULD NOW CEDE SECURITY FUNCTIONS TOTALLY TO THE POLICE ANY OFFICIAL(S) WHO INSIST ON RETAINING SECURITY FUNCTIONS SHOULD BE HELD PERSONALLY LIABLE FOR ANY ADVERSE INCIDENCES.
FINALLY LETS TAKE COGNISANCE OF THE FACT THAT THERE ARE INDIVIDUAL PLAYER STRENGTHS/WEAKNESS AND TEAM STRENGTHS/WEAKNESS

I agree with my brother Ogango trailer, yesterdays match was just not our day,I can attest that i watched the match between Efusi and ulinzi in Nakuru, and you cannot believe the numerous chances created by a player called Wamalwa he had numerous chances and could not score, compared to Kevo the man was a disaster! you wont believe it!We did everything with the ball except putting the ball behind the net.luck was not on our side.Lets pick the positives from the game and face our next opponents with confidence.Since Bobbys arrival,Kevo had improved.

KEVO IS A MASTER DRIBBLER EVEN IN THE BOX BUT CANNOT KEEP HIS SHOTS DOWN, LAVASTA FOR ALL HIS SPEED TENDS NOT 2 TIME HIS RUNS WELL & IS NOT CALM IN THE BOX. RAMA & DAN WERE THE MOST COMPOSED PLAYERS IN THE BOX HENCE THEIR HIGH GOAL TALLIES COMPARED 2 OUR OTHER FORWARDS KIONGERA INCLUDED.
LOGA NEVER HAD TIME 2 HANDLE PLAYERS INDIVIDUALLY THATS Y KEVO & LAVASTA HAVE STAGNATED IN SCORING. I HOPE B.W IS DIFFERENT BUT GOR STRIKERS SHOULD KNOW THAT ALL THEIR EFFORTS COUNT 4 NOTHING IF THEY CAN’T SCORE.

    contd.
Gor team of today is much stronger(tactically) than the one Loga left behind. Affected players must work on their individual weaknesses with the bench helping. Sorry Mutiso’s shots lack the power & accuracy of Dan’s.
EC made a big blunder by releasing the 2. What’s left is 4 the TB i.e BW 2 identify players of calibre to make an impact in CECAFA/CAF if the current ones don’t improve AND BELIEVE ME B.W WILL GET THE RIGHT PLAYERS. CURRENT SQUAD (STRIKERS & MIDFIELDERS) AND EC MARK MY WORDS

@ nyakogalo; with all due respect i will refrain from bad mouthing, but for your info please take it from me that most of us in these blog site are too much obsessed with a “MUST WIN MENTALITY” that only ends up with very foolish “HOOLIGANISM” like yesterdays case.

    I beg to ask;
    1. Did we play poorly? The answer is NO.
    2. Did we create scoring chances? The answer is YES
    3. Did we miss scoring opportunity? The answer is YES
    4. We lost 2 points and gained 1 point.
    5. We are still 6 points ahead in the pack.
    7. The turns and twist of a competitive league must be achieved by BOGEY TEAMS. And for the sake of the doubting thomases on this blog, please be informed that it will not be a walk in the park when K’OGALO plays the so popular “NAIROBIAN BASED TEAMS”, who have immunity against the 12th man on the pitch. PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE FOR THE LIKES OF:
    1. MATHARE
    2. KCB
    3. AFC
    4. TUSKER
    5. SOFAPAKA

Collect the above 15 points and the think of the title period.

    OBSERVATION
We still have 11 games to play and anything can happen to any of TOP 10 Teams in the log. The journey is far from over and it all has a bearing with the most consistent team in either winning most or drawing less is the one that will win and not the one with “THE TYRANNY OF NUMBERS IN THE NAME SUPPORTERS WITH THE LOUDEST MOUTH”.

WE SHOULD STYLE UP AND BE SPORTS PEOPLE AND NOT THE KIND OF “VILLAGE-MINDED THUGS” AS WITNESSED YESTERDAY. SHAME ON ALL OF US WHO CLAIM TO BE SUPPORTERS MINUS SPORTSMANSHIP ..!!

@OGANG’o Trailer, 50, this one I agree with you 1001%. What some of us are writing on this blog is worrying. Indeed from the sofaset branch, I watched a great game from our boys. Was especially impressed by our midfield play of Akumu and Ericko. I think this is a perfect combination. Lavasta was a bit down yesterday, but by and large we played very well. K14, was the man of the match if you ask me. Its unfortunate, he failed to score when it looked like the easiest thing to do, but that normally happens in the game of football as it has been well articulated by comrade Ogango Trailer.
I still believe, GINIWASEKAWO. Have faith good people, stop insulting player.
Finally I recommend a ban of 3 home matches, 5 matches on an empty stadium and a heavy fine. This madness must come to a stop. We cannot continue like this.

For God and my beloved club – Kogallo.

  • TO all true K’Ogalo fans, why should WIZARDS set the passe for us? It is not in the interest of Kenya football to allow these few goons to spoil our name in the name of teaching the bench a lesson. This is not acceptable at all. We should look at the big picture and not what will drag us backwards. The team played well yesterday unfortunately the goals did not come as our expectation.I still believe that we still have a room to correct the past mistakes. Lets focus on the coming matches.

First, I want to commend every unit for good work. In foot ball you wake up on wrong sides and much as you would want to impress, nothing works save for substitution.
secondly, I would want to raise this thing that is happening only in Gor mahia. there are this people calling themselves farnatics, people who don’t go the field to watch football but stupid, arrogant, uncivilized bhang smoking thieves who pounce on their likes whenever their shallow minds directs them.
I am very disappointed with this situation which seems to be a GOR MAHIA WAY OF SUPPORT.
unless we do something now, I tell you bloggers that we will loose even the small we have.
    Why would we allow this???
Thirdly, It is not fair to blow whistles especially when the ball is in contention creating confussion amongst players. Infact whistles should not be allowed in the field apart from the referees.

Can we stand up and do something? Let us show the will to easen work for POLICE.
Gor is not for LUOS ONLY. ITS NOW KENYAN!!!!!

Fourth, lets encourage the Players. we are not bound to win all times..

  • What are guys here complaining about. The boys played so well but lack was just not on our side. Indeed i watched the game againtoday early in the morning and boy did we just failed to hack it. Ati someone is saying Kevo and Lavatsa aint are jockers which game bro were you watching. I must thank God that Kevo and Akumu are back to their best. Kevo is one intelligent player and he fought so hard and should have been the man of the match. Against Tusker he left Shikokoti for the dead talk of a smart player. I read politics in the destruction at the stadium and the EC seems totally naive to the core. We need to see arrests for this has been running for long. Some fans just have bad manners from either poor upbringing or just failing to respect authority. Really if you never internalised that it is important to respect authority however much we talk here we going no where thats why prisons are built and fines imposed on errant individuals. EC take charge.

Speaking to futaa.com, the SSMB’s Public Relations officer Raki Asman revealed that the total cost is to the tune of Kshs 2.2 Million which includes the cost of acquisition of new seats and labour.
    Cost of repairs
-Each of the seats will cost SSMB around Kshs 3,500 and more than 550 seats were destroyed over the weekend. We will then factor in labour costs and invoice the club together with an official letter on Tuesday morning, he confirmed.

Raki assured that the invoice handed to the club will have the accurate figures for the total cost for the work to give the stadium its former look attached to the official communication.THATS FOR THE SO CALLED GOR MAHIA FANS

Well known Ugandan player Mussa Mudde admits it will be “almost impossible” to turn down an offer to return to the Kenyan Premier League.

The hard-tackling midfield anchorman spent what he describes as “some of the best three seasons” of his career at Sofapaka in a period ending May 2012 before departing to join Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

However, a recurring hamstring strain jeopardized his career at the Dar es Salaam-based outfit where he was also reportedly not registered for league and continental assignments, before going out on loan to one of his former clubs Simba (Uganda).

The 27-year-old evidently retains a soft spot for the top flight Kenyan league, a competition in which he was once rumoured to be the best paid player at that time.

“My best years were undoubtedly in Kenya. Memories from my stay here are mostly good. I played my best football, broke into the Cranes first team, and also, received many offers from Europe and Asia.

”If a top three club here wants me, I would personally pick my phone and listen to what they have to say,” the UPDF (Uganda People Defence Force) soldier, exclusively told kpl.co.ke at the pitch-side in Kasarani, moments after another virtuoso performance for Uganda’s Simba in the opening game of the East Africa Military Games and Cultural Events.

Mudde is also keen on recapturing his place in the Ugandan team, with Iceland-based Tony Mawejje and KCC’s Hassan Waswa, Uganda Cranes’ coach Micho Sredojevic favourites for the defensive midfield role.

“We are on the verge of achieving something with the national team and I would very much want to be a part of it. It is understandable I was overlooked partly due to the injury I picked in Tanzania, but am feeling much better, and if called upon, it will, as usual, be an honour.”

Mudde’s Simba finished seventh in the Uganda Super league last term. According to the man, ardent KPL fans should not be gob smacked if they spot him donning the Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards or Sofapaka jerseys in the near future.
