Gor Mahia held by Nakumatt

courtesy of futaa.com

Gor Mahia rallied from behind to share spoils with National Super League side Nakumatt FC in a friendly match played on Wednesday 22 January at the City Stadium.

After a barren first half, both teams made complete changes to the line up, bringing in a fresh, first eleven for the second half.

1-1 draw

Nakumatt were the first to hit the back of the net when in the 76th minute, Fredrick Obonyo headed in a cross from the right wing. Gor Mahia responded two minutes later through new signing Daniel Onyango.

Cracks are emerging, how can we draw against a low tier team. ….?

Blackberry performance was very disappointing and so is Kevin ade and Patrick oboya. If this guys are not careful, they will face the axe soon.

What is wrong with you Jakoyo. The other day you were praising the team, today you are a turncoat. These are just training games.

  • I agree with u Mwakio these r just training matches & I hope the boys will be competitive enough to win the charity cup. I hope also that the friendly match with a team from UG will come to pass. Keep it up boys.

@Jakoyo friendlies are warm-up matches to maintain fitness. It was not a competition match.

This JAKOYO guy is always disappointing, you just reason like some afc leopards fans, these are just friendlies that are just organised for players to get in shape, the other time talanta beat gor but that meant nothing and we still went and won so many matches in kpl and by the end of it we took home the trophy,so you should not start pointing fingers at players right know.

@Jakoyo remember the coach hoping that the team peaks at the right time. if we peak when we are playing Nakunatt and fail when we are playing the competitive games then it would be too bad. The issue is that we will even lose some games but the issue is how fast we recover from those setbacks

Is it the hangovers of fans whose candidates failed the test. Surely there is nothing to be alarmed over. Its really unfortunate for a fan to come here and critizise the players with such bitterness, its a friendly for crying out loud.
No point breaking a leg over a friendly match whether its charity cup of whatever. What matters to me is the continental, league and GoTv matches. I have so much faith on the team and i shall remain unmoved by detractor.

Jakoyo is full of negative energy. Am strongly convinced he is a masquerader. How can he be omnipresent in all Gor functions/events/matches? Even hooligans find time to do some work to earn a living. Guys lets not take him seriously. Unfortunately he cannot be edited out as he’ll metamorphose into another name (if he doesn’t exist in different identities already). Let’s focus on the bigger picture-a great squad, great manager and technical bench, and a season promising to redefine Gor Mahia. Kogalo for life!

Please keep up the positive energy. I wish from now to when the league starts we can say some good things about the office, the players.

    Let us not be un-grateful,
@Jakoyo – There will be draws and many, there will be losses, I hope few and we will win matches. Have hope

@ Papamiky what has Jakoyo’s mother to do with his reckless outburst in this blog?

However much his post might be irritating as an individual, does it warrant you to involve maternal mudslinging. Your comments also depicts a typical Gor Mahia who is full of pride in their abusive language.

@Papamiky is your mother an angel or virgin MARY?
Ati Jakoyo who is mother? That’s NONSENSE & DEMEANING.

Jakoyo has a serious concern for the team. I’m a man utd fan in the epl, during pre season, man utd lost to thailand 11, some university team from japan and only managed a draw against some scandinavian team. I and other united fans console ourselves that those were just friendlies. Now the team is losing to medicre teams in the epl.
Gor mahia should get serious and learn to thrush small teams the man city way.

@ Jabilo thanx 4 challenging that perplexing personal attack on Jakoyo.
Bloggers why have we gone so personal on Jakoyo.
Btw the only thing i personally found a wee bit odd was the sacking call which i 2 me is premature as of now. He can also b challenged 2 clarify how he identified the said players when he claimed 2 be in the diaspora just the other day. That GM should routinely thrash Nakumatt like teams is the wish of every fan so is Jakoyo’s opinion really that outrageous.
    Just my 2 cents.

I would like to avoid the usual irrelevance tht forms the currency of ths blog n address Jakoyo n his comments. I am surprised at your very biased assessment. It seems u av something personal against the said players.I cn bet substantially tht u wr nt at City.Blackberry played averagely bt so did everybody else to varying degrees .In the game u cd nt say any player stood out.Kevo ws introduced in the second half n played for less thn 15 minutes, got injured n ws withdrawn
Hw could u rate him in so short a time? Ua inclusion of Oboya n ua HATE list is the most perplexing. He was one of the better players of the day.He harrased his marker throughout n was a joy to watch on the ball.He was the only player to set up Danny n Obwoge on goal while he could av been selfish n gone for goal himself. Be objective in ua analysis or these bloggers pouring vitriol on u wl always claim the higher moral ground

@Odhiambo, Mcosweto, Kassam, so you join this baridi man. May be you don’t understand how foot ball is. These matches you are refering are not competions at all. They are only build up matches. Last year we were beaten by these small teams in friendlies and took the league. How can one compare this our situation with that in London, Man U?

@ simplicity jakoyo told us here during elections that he is a diaspora fan and again the guy is telling us that he watched the game ,i wonder whether the game was aired live in supersport.as you have said the guy may be having some indidual problems with the players he has quoted.simplicity kevo played for exactly 12 minutes so i wonder how the guy is gauging players to the extent of calling names.we should not turn jakoyo to be the topic for discussion since he is neither here nor there, unless we want to give him publicity that he does not deserve.

The headline should have read, Gor Mahia hold Nakumatt FC. This is because Gor were behind and were chasing the game and equalized. Sometimes the press can misreport
