Gor Mahia hope to get back on Track vs Bandari

Kenga to take on his old team

Hungry Gor Mahia, without a win in their last three Tusker Premier League fixtures, fly to the Coast tomorrow to face Bandari at the Mombasa Municipal Stadium looking to reverse their plunging form.

K’Ogalo’s 2-0 surprise loss to league debutantes Top Fry Nakuru stunned the league champions who now know only too well that you underestimate your opponent to your great peril.

A more determined Gor, playing with urgency, had nine-man Tusker on the ropes but could not take advantage of their superior numbers in a 1-1 draw.
But head coach Bobby Williamson says these results are a mere test of character, and that his charges will bounce back stronger.

“Against Top Fry we should have scored at least a goal. We will be looking to create more chances on Sunday and make good use of them,” he said.

“Pressure to win is always there and so if we win this game it will be good even for the fans considering we have not had a good game in a while now,” Williamson added. Bandari currently have only one win to show for their six games this season and will certainly not confront Gor lying down.

It will not be an easy match. Let us prepare adequately without putting ourselves on ‘must win pressure/situation’.

When you play well, goals come automatically but if we put tension and pressure first then more frustrations will follow.

If the bench realizes that Danny Ssurunkuma is too much fatiqued I’m suggesting Jared Obwoge replaces him so that he can have some rest. I feel the gentleman is really overworked.

    All the best.

Now that both TUSKER and Chemelil have lost two points. I pray for a GOR win as we assume the match to be an opportunity to narrow the gap with the leading pack to just a point if we can grab all the three points against Bandarii. My gut feeling tells me that GOR is still the team to beat in 2014 TPL. What I know is if GOR can pull some five games consecutive wins then they will leave the rest to chase us.

Let us not cheat ourselves that TPL coaches are not aware of the fact that once GOR ascends to the summit, then it will be difficult to dislodge them due the push they get from the 12th man. BW & JBO as regular visitors of this site, plan on how to win 2morrow god willing and come back and strategize 4 a winning consistency in the next 5 games.

  • @ No.5 Ogango whenever u r writing the name God, always start with capital letter bcos first & foremorst He is Lord and He is supreme. 2nd the name God is a proper noun just like ua name . All names r proper nouns & when writing about names u must start with capital letters e.g God not god,Ogango not ogango, Odhiambo not odhiambo,Bobby not bobby Rachir not rachier etc. But in all u must give God his deserved respect by differetiating Him with other gods
