Gor Mahia officials deny pocketing money from Walusimbi’s transfer

Gor Mahia officials have come out strongly to deny allegations that they pocketed Ksh 5 million to allow Godfrey Walusimbi to transfer to Kaizer Chiefs.

Gor Mahia fans have been left confused as to why players who are still under contract are constantly sneaking out on free transfers. And in 2017, FIFA sanctioned Gor Mahia because the proceeds of transfer fees were not being credited to the club’s account.

Additional reporting from goal.com
Gor Mahia have denied allegations that club chairman Ambrose Rachier has benefited financially from the impending move of Godfrey Walusimbi to South Africa.

The Ugandan defender reportedly sneaked to South Africa to begin personal negotiations with Kaizer Chiefs even though he still has a one and half year contract to run with the Kenyan champions.

But a section of club fans took to social media to accuse Rachier of sanctioning the move, a position that the club has since denied.

“It is my hope that this statement exonerates our Chairman’s names and that of the CEO (Omondi Aduda) from un-profound allegations of having pocketed Sh 20 million from Walusimbi’s transfer,” Gor Mahia Secretary General Ben Omondi said in a statement seen by Goal .

Let the truth come out. This should let the EC know that the fans don’t trust them so much. And all this is because of the lack of transparency from their end.
They need to do alot to be trusted. An example is that now they are saying that they need funding for the two CAF games but are not ready to let the same fans know about gate collections as well as the issue with KRA amongst others

For Walu to play for KC Gor has to legally release him and issue him with an ITC else he will be oit in the cold until FIFA laws allow him. Bit we will still soldier on

  • For now I will treat those allegations as rumours , but I even as I do so , I will bear in mind that as reported , this is the same EC that was in 2017 sanctioned by fifa for banking transfer fees in non club accounts and as such it is not beyond them to attempt what is being alleged against them .
Be that be the case , the truth will be out shortly and if , God forbid , those allegations have some truth , at this critical time of our club’s status , then it would be a damage with far reaching ramifications, with our sponsors , our fans , our image and our brand .
I pray that we come out clean on this , i hope we do .,

@ODHIS muga, can EACC and DPP intervene in private matters. Maybe yes, maybe No. Even the FIFA officials were charged with corruption yet FIFA is a private entity. Let everyone stand WARNED. At times the club suffers because of illegal deeds by the office bearers.

Meanwhile, ALL the Best to the team today in our match against KKHB

According Rachier’s statement he vehemently denied any knowledge of Walu’s secret move. Morally I think that the player failed the test. I say this because It would be suicidal for Ambrose to be on the loop and still come out to deny. Secondly, these days players just do not move Kienyeji. There are many hurdles that they may need to jump before they land on the greener side of the pastures. FIFA rules are especially very stringent. Clearance is not done under the tables. As club the leadership is very aware of this because some players have been recruited but they have had to get get clearance first. If not carefully advised, a player might end up warming benches at the cost of the career. For Walusimbi, I think that his latest trend of though genuine I think may have just been that he felt he had outgrown Gor. and needed to move on. Of course his contribution to the team can not be disregarded or wished away. However, any good player must always strive to remain on the good course by being focused. If he felt that he needed to change the environment, why didn’t he just follow the laid down procedures instead of sneaking off from a team that he has so faithfully served and has also natured him. In fact Gor has exposed him to the Continental stadia so that guys can come for him. The good side of the coin however is Gor is a big club and some player will fit in and the marching shall continue.

I wish players can just follow the rules. Or do they know FIFA transfer rules in the first place? Their agents should advise them wisely. I hope GM will make good money this time round from Walu’s deal

BREAKING….kaizer chief tabled an offer of Kshs 5 million it was rejected , another offer of Kshs 7 million was outrightly rejetced as EC hopes to dangle another carrot of Kshs 10 million in the expectation that walusimbi impending sale will clear the clubs oustanding arrears of Kshs 8 million to honour remaining CAF matches.

Kogallo is getting desperate as they need the cash before this coming weekend matches ……

Football mgt is almost impossible…I mean players at times just go mad when they hear of big money. I understand football career is short hence the allure but the way african clubs poach players is simply rogue. Can for example GM illegally tap Mamelodi Sundowns star players and make him travel clandestinely to Kenya then AR call the Chairman on the other side tabling useless offers akin to 5 Million? If we cant they why do other clubs find it so easy to show us such contempt? Are we not respected as an organization out there or are we taken to be open for Monkey Business?Am not happy at all with this Walusimbi Saga. We must be respected as a big club in Africa
