Gor Mahia pursuing additional transfer targets
With finances tight at the club, Gor Mahia continued to pursue local targets as they seek to strengthen the side ahead of the 2018-2019 season. A report on goal.com states that Kogalo are pursuing Moses Mudavadi of Kakamega Homeboyz.
“He (Mudavadi) was here last week, watched training but did not take part. He has been around finalizing a few things and if all goes well he will be our player by the end of the week.” said an official to goal.com
The winger is vastly experienced, having played for Homeboyz since 2013.
Hassan Abdallah
A war of words ensued between Gor Mahia CEO Lodvick Aduda and his Bandari counterpart Edward Oduor after the former travelled to Mombasa last Friday to reportedly woe Abdallah to the record SPL champions.
“Bandari football club wish to state categorically that Abdallah Hassan like other players in the team has a binding contract with the club and is therefore not for sale. We have no intention of selling any player to Gor Mahia or other potential suitors since we are top contenders for the league title next season,” warned Oduor adding that K’Ogalo should emulate Bandari by grooming their own players instead of going on a poaching spree every transfer window.
In a quick rejoinder, Aduda has denied approaching Abdallah over a transfer to Gor Mahia.
“I clearly stated that I was travelling to Mombasa to sign a Coast Stima player whose identity I will only reveal after we are through with the deal. I don’t know where news of Hassan Abdallah came from,” said Aduda.

His sentiments were backed by Abdallah who revealed that Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars are some of the top clubs that have contacted him.
“Yes it is true that several clubs have approached me among them Sofapaka and Ulinzi but Gor Mahia is yet to approach me. Bandari fans should treat those reports as rumours,” offered Abdallah before pledging his allegiance to the Coastal outfit.
Aduda, time is precious, get this former kogallo youth striker, coast stima and current bandari fc trialist striker Erick Ombija and Mike madoya……as quickly as possible, this were instructions from above !

I support the recruitment of young local players but these players need the touch of a really good coach. So far Kerr record against north Africa remains a big zero. I hope that this time he gets to meet W.Africa too.
So far the harambee coach has hovoured above him after defeating Ghana.
The game against Ghana showed that Kenya can stand against the best but what remains is psychological. Players luck belief and descipline.
As I said bfore, for a foreign coach taking the league or beating Simba fc are “by-products”. Kerr is yet to earn his pay at Gor. I hope this time you(and more the EC)get your act together. This does not mean taking the cup is an outright expectation, but being consistent quarter finalists is one coz the potential exists.

Nyongo is yet to get the garbage out of his town, a campaign pledge he rode on, but is busy collecting awards from left right n center. I would not be supprised if he soon collects the NewYork marathon award.
