Gor Mahia pursuing Jockins Atudo

Ace central defender Jockins Atudo is said to be very close to completing a move to Gor Mahia. According to the report on futaa.com, Gor Mahia is offering Atudo a good offer: 1.5 million signing fee and a monthly salary of two hundred thousand.

This is the second time Gor Mahia is pursuing Atudo who is currently a Posta Rangers player. He has previously played for Tusker and Azam and has had several stints in the national team.

Atudo who is 31, was born in Homa Bay area. he played for Otieno Oyoo secondary school along with Ali Abondo. They both soon joined SoNy Sugar FC. He starred in the Harambee stars side that won the CECAFA cup in 2013, scoring three goals.

Atudo will add depth and experience to the central defence position which now has Harun Shakava and Musa Mohamed as the two reliable players. Another player who may be returning is former AFC Leopards skipper Jackson Saleh. His 6 month loan at Ingwe ended and the club has indicated that they will not renew the loan.

I really doubt Gor Mahia recruitment process. What value will Atudo add at the expiry age of 31 years plus? Such players can play well with Rangers, Sofapaka, City Stars etc.

Good move as Atudo is a top defender and can play right across the defence and Shakava may leave for Zesco

Every transfer season has its own drama, Remember jerry Santos, crspin odulla ? Players who are past their prime and can only play for max 10 mins. I said this and it came to pass……the same can be said of atudo, surely he must be way past his prime and in the late 30’s.

Can the wheeler dealers of kogallo consider salim abdalla shittu who has been approached by ingwe or even better david cheche and issac isinde of uganda who is currently unattached ?

These rumours do not inspire a lot of confidence. Please sign players that have resale value (younger and talented) Salim Abdalla and Robinson Kamura comes to mind. You can add Eric Johanna and Victor Ndinya of Mathare and Bandari respectively.

  • Rachier please stop this madness We have good players from the youth team and other cheaper ones who can help kogalo. Atudo should just come for free if he wants Gor

  • Why are the kingdom guards hell bent on signing these tired legs! Atudo, Kagere, Odula, Berry…. name them. What is their ideal average age of Gor Mahia players? I guess it is 35yers. I congratulate Atudo for being the defender of the year, but i doubt if he is the best Kogallo can get. Age is just but a number, however, I am also in doubt as to whether these” old dogs” will be able to fit into the tiki piti style of Maria Mama.

Why do we think we know better than the TB who recommended these players? Last time we forced the EC to sign Kagere but were not ready to take the blame for his not scoring. We also literally forced them to sign Jobita. We should not sign players just because they played better against Gor or were previous better players.

Can we let the TB/EC do their work? It’s Ok to criticize but what facts are we using. Pogba left ManU and came back. How many of us ignored some employers, colleges, friends etc and later on joined them?

Those updates should as well cover George Bwana’s activities. He must be very busy with which quality players to lure out of Gor Mahia to Zambia…..and also which more passengers to dupe us with. God is watching and will hit back one day.

BB i will even speak fluent kiswahili today to back your point. This GB guy i have said is GM’s worst enemy in recent times, from Gor he takes the best to zambia so he can profit like he is currently doing trying to lure Shakava Haroun away to Zesco and in he brings things like Passenger 27 and tells them kaa ngumu usiende loan upate salary yako kwa bench tu ukule na bibi….He should be kept furthest from GM matters and players for the sake of Kogalo’s future

Atudo is agood defender i know him that is his age and can create a rocky defence for Gor just incase Shakava will be leaving the Kogallo team.I also pray that Musa Muhamed would also succeed abroad being he has served Gor well and is a quality player.
