Gor Mahia receive reprieve from FKF

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced the formation of a Special six member Independent Displinary appeals Tribunal (IDAT), a supreme body appointed to listen to Gor Mahia’s appeal against an IDCC ruling that banned their fans from attending their home matches for the next three fixtures.
This was announced on Saturday by FKF Chairman Sam Nyamweya who acknowledged receipt of the club’s appeal submitted on Friday. In a statement to the media, Nyamweya said
“In the mean time as the appeal process is expected to start, the club fans can continue to attend their club home matches until the appeal is heard and determined,” he said
“But we warn the fans that if any repeated incident of hooliganism during their current matches will be witnessed, the federation will have no option but to impose further sanctions, so we appeal to their fans to be of good behavior.” Nyamweya added in the statement.
Nyamweya continued to say that his Federation is aware of efforts by some of the club officials to curb incidents of hooliganism seen during their last matches. He said the Federation is optimistic that the “club is capable of policing themselves.”
Gor Mahia’s next match at home is against Nairobi City Stars at the City stadium next weekend.
Thank Mr. Chairman. Banning Fans is not the best way to discipline clubs. Instead this is punishing clubs some of which can not control their fans. It is encouraging to note that GM Fans themselves have taken this initiative of identifying trouble makers and handing them over to the Authorities.

these fans are escaping with murder. if the club cannot control or have no influence on their fans, so why is the club being punished??? gor mahia as a club has done NOTHING to educate against hooliganism. the EC has never talked about it , the players have never said how it affects them!! so the adidas guys have no idea the damage they do. yesterday they surrounded the players bus, how comfortable was that to the players? it’s only a matter of time before one stone gets it’s target. so bwana was able to calm them… yes, for now but what about the nxt much. so long as you raise a finger towards the players then thats the sign. i will repeat, gor fans hold the ec at ransom and i also believe the fkf. thats why all is being done to reverse the crimes. there is something deeply troubling in gor at it has nothing to do with fitness. why would masika struggle so much to leave such a BIG club? another stoning is just afew matches away but this time gor will not survive. to avoid this…
HOW INDEPENDENT IS THE TRIBUNAL?
All eyes are on this supreme organ of FKFas they sit down to hear and determine the appeal case brought before them by Gor Mahia to contest a ruling made against them by the Independent Displinary and Complaints Committee.
Make no mistake. I am not in any way trying to pre- empt what the appeals tribunal will decide. Whether they will upheld the ruling made earlier by the IDCC or trash it altogether, it is upto them.
This case, the first this season, will set precedent on football abitration in Kenya. Kenyans
have low regard for state institutions mainly because of corruption and vested interests. We do hope the decision of IDAT will inspire confidence and trust not just to K’Ogallo but also to other clubs who will seek services from them.
Finally, how i wished the chairman or our admin will have done us a great favor by publishing the names of the six man bench. This is because the composition of this tribunal has alot of bearing on the final decision. However let us remain cautiously optimistic that justice will be done to us.

The 50 player squad was selected during the two-day trials held at the Langata High School.

A final squad of 20 players will be picked from the squad to represent Kenya in an eight-nation invitational youth tournament scheduled for South Afica next month.
My concern is that no player from Gor Mahia has made the cut in this squad and that tells volumes about our priorities as a club. The picture does not even augur well for the future of K’Ogalo. My worst fear is that without investing in youth squads then we shall repeat mistakes whose results we are now seeing.

I believe the EC has done all it can to combat hooliganism. Do we expect the chair and SG to arrest them and have them locked in? That’s the duty of the police. For our information the laws of the land apply even inside the stadium

I was torn in between but, we must understand that the notion of GM belonging to the luos stand is what must just take us down coz i dont see anything new right from the numerous changes in the coaches, bhang smoking over the years, hurling abuses in the stadia all these vices championed by the fans. I now see we are trapped in the adidas vs legea yet i see very few legea guys-who? Admin has put it notably that D. Owino was played as a winger! Is something cooking within the playing circles? @Agwa Kassam, to me playing David Owino as a winger is like playing the great Croatian striker, Davor Suker, in the defense.
my take explained. let have the EC and the players having an interview with any media house about the adidas guys and their negative impact. i would only suggest that this be about hooliganism. this would have a profound impact to the fraternity. most of these neanderthals think that the force of the stone helping gor. its is only gor that is worst affected by this hooliganism monster. i still predict another stoning episode. the club cannot arrest fans, but they can SEND A MESSAGE to them. otherwise keep dreaming that gor is BIG. a big club that does not even have a rep in the under 20 team… BIG clubs have an influence everywhere. pls note that AFC currently is at the top of the league and how quiet they are. gor only wins one match and everybody, INCLUDING THE PLAYERS, start yapping and making GRAND statements how they are now aiming for the stars. its called reactionary management.

I have never understood the difference between Legea Vs Adidas. I think the two are not excuses of our underperformance. The big question is whether we have the right team attitude, technical skills, drive, motivation etc.
Our team performance is worrying and I think more need to be done by the team, technical bench, fans and EC in order to yield positive results.
Good results are factors of many ingredients the include motivation, psyching, team work, self drive, discipline, commitment, dedication, etc

gor mahia does not have a contract with adidas. in other words gor mahia
using adidas was simply its choice of uniform. adidas did not
ask gor or supply gor mahia with uniform, there was no sponsorhip deal eg
like the one nike has with the athletics team. in other words the contract says u shall not be seen
wearing anything else but nike.
leagea deal is negotiated thru the sponsor brookside. yaani leagea was approached to sponsor the kit with
the right club colours. so gor is bound to wear leagea LEAGALLY. so there is no way gor can turn
around and ask adidas to print its shirts for its fans. leagea and adidas obviously will be biz
rivals. on the other hand adidas cannot manufacture its adidas shirts for gormahia knowing very
well that gor is engaged to leagea. that would really be stupid of them. why would they manufacture
shirts for gor yet all this time they never gave gor a sponsorhip deal to wear adidas.needless
to say adidas is a giant in sports gear. so the big question???

leagea can actually sue gor mahia for breach of contract if gor is involved in this adidas
deal in any way, coz agreement with brookside is that gor will don leagea.

While GOR MAHIA was in the making with Siang’a as the head coach, everything was well off and nobody had any business to associate with the club. But after the success of bringing up the club many people have come forward in the name of helping the club but it is POLITICS that they have come with in a agenda. What we need to know is that it is the club that we are fighting for but not the gluttoneous individuals who think of themselves and their images in the name of the club then take the blame to the fans and supporters. Let it be known that it is the SPIRIT of the FANS & SUPPORTERS that is keeping Gor on its feet standing and those evil plans that those who fleece the club use in diguise of the fans to cancel there deeds…….DO NOT BLAME THE FIRE IF THE FOOD IS BURNT!
whinining till the cock comes back to roost is the order of the day. There is no team that wants to be defeated and rightly so by Gor mahia. What is now evident is that we no longer instill fear in any team and i still insist the buck stops with the players. All of us have done what we needed to do cheer the team, provide finances and having a good coach but what have they got to show defeats. I pray that God will hear our humble cry and touch thd souls of these players to summon that extra will power to win.
Can’t we trust that the tech bench and EC have a solution to our woes. As fans we have to feel the pain but hope that things will improve. If only we could listen to what Mwakio is saying!! The issue of wishing for the past good days is not assisting the present situation but can only be used to remedy the future

Gor vice-chairman, David Killo, admitted that they had not given Logarusic “a 100 per cent free hand” to run the team, while we the fans are expecting good results? this office needs to go.
The coach will do his best by dropping non performing players and replacing them with better one. I think we GM fans should do our task of sending this controversial EC home and bring in people with good leadership and accountability. Gatuso should come up and tell us more he might have a victim of this EC.
