Gor Mahia sentence Mahakama

Three second half goals by Duncan Owiti (2) and George Odhiambo were enough to see Kogalo through with a 3-1 victory over Mahakama at the city stadium.

It was the best performance by Gor Mahia this season against a tough opponent coached by former Gor Mahia player and coach Sammy Omollo. Having been unceremoniously fired by a mean spirited club official 2 seasons ago, Omollo would have relished a revenge win over his former club. But it was not to be as the Gor Mahia forward-line put Mahakama to the sword ina dramatic second half.

Duncan Owiti justified his elevation to the starting line up by scoring two poachers goals: the first one came when he headed home a left wing cross from Makori. His second came when he scrambled the ball home from a goalmouth melee. George Odhiambo, last years sensation finally found the back of the net for the first time this season when he scored the second goal.

This is a team for the future. The average age must be the lowest in KPL.

Leopards and Matahre having shared the points, we should now send the signals for winning the league title by hammering Posta Rangers at least 5-0. The players should be serious and aggressive the way the Kogalo battalions are. Let’s RTS (Return To Sender) this Rangers.
