Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have boosted their strike-force with the addition of Jared Obwoge from Chemelil Sugar.

striker signed a two year deal, joining Kevin Oluoch and Joseph Kariuki who were signed from Western Stima and Karuturi respectively.

Gor secretary general George Bwana was only delighted to discuss the club’s new acquisition, who is expected to add depth ahead of what should be a gruelling campaign for K’Ogalo with the CAF Champions League also in the picture.

“We are glad Obwoge who is a talented player has joined us,” Bwana told SuperSport.

“We know he will play an important role for us in the next season he is one of our best acquisitions and we intend to use him effectively.”

Gor Mahia had earlier tried to sign Obwoge during the 2013 mid-season transfer period. He scored 5 goals during the 2013 Kenya Premier league season.

  • Sign at your own risk. These officials do not have the mandate to sign players since their mandate has expired. Only the registrar of society can extend their mandat and not nyamwenya

Please note that Gor Mahia is not chicken.

@Ingo,You have always indicated that you are a kogalo friend but your utterances indicate otherwise.
How can you celebrate when a neighbour’s house is on fire. Instead of helping to put off the fire you have become the fuel that keeps the fire burning. For sure you are not a friend.
Kogallo fans recognises fkf as the only body mandated to run football affairs in this country and we are therefore comfortable with their decision.

Mr.Ingo used to be a regular contributor on this site. However, his voice trailed off and eventually died when Gor overtook leopards, who at one point was a head with a massive ten points.Am glad he is back with a bang.During that time,Ingo excelled in one aspect:God was so generous to him when He-God-shared out brawns to humanity. He was given enough to fill the Island of Maldives.Mr Ingo,we “love”your legal input. As a matter of fact, you’re the best in town. When we need it we shall call you.For now though you could do better if you reigned in your horses. You also need no reminding that caf cup which Leapards are going to participate in as an equivalent of Europa and Kogalo…..?You know the answer.Note that Leaopards need your input more.Do not be a voyer.

Engineer Ingo the last time you posted a comment was late November and I remember you bidding us farewell since you were “heading for Christmas” and would rejoin with us “at the beginning of the 2014 season”. Omwami I am concerned. What has happened that you have come back prematurely au umefukuzwa? Please respond.

Regarding the legal concerns you have raised, Engineer, I didn’t know that you as well have credentials in law. You are not a bad man, however, now you remind me of one Benson Disi. The man only attended a wedding reception at Strathmore University and he was so impressed with the set up, topography and entire Geography of that place…What did we see next? He decided to mislead people in social media by giving his address as ‘Strathmore University’.

I will be rooting for Gor when they take the Gabon team and thats for sure

this club remain a amatanga out fit yet fans have invested alot of hope in progress from my training a society is successful more when it has a good and reputable social programs like gor mahia

@jb, What are suggesting…. should we pull out of this competition and leave it for the likes of AFC, Sofa and tusker because they are the big spenders.
Do you support a leadership vacuum at gor?
What exactly do you want, give us solutions that would cure the kind of situation that we are experiencing right now.

I am a little dissapointed in the signings this year. Kwani is the club broke ? Nashangaa tu. You need big names to play continental and CECAFA. And mind you Loga is still coming after more Kogalo players. He knows Tanzanians cant play so he wants his former players there.

The truth is that all Kenyan clubs are broke. Money for recruiting players is never from sponsors but from well wishers. As it Gor has a shortage of such apart from AR who has to be carefull how he uses his money. The rest of us , even in this blog, can just ask for “good” players who don’t come cheap

What really are we talking about? ati well wishers, when match tickets are recyled to the extent that fans are harassed to give away tickets to the so called GM security appointed by the EC? Can you show us the well wishers who splash money to turskers and sofas of Kenya? Remember Presda just admitted the other day sofa was clearing october salaries in December! So who’s the well wisher buying players at Sofapaka if salaries are delayed? Its time we admitted there’s no management at Gor Mahia instead of hiding behind an individual’s purported spending on the club. Its open and loud GM has the highest sponsorship in Kenya, biggest fan attendance and we cannot rule out the possibility of even more well wishers than Ingwe, Tursker and Sofapaka, truth be told. It doesn’t matter who wins the funny elections of GM. Its a fact Ingwe earns less in all the obvious income heads but has a better team, Bus, higher salaries and player welfare and attracts more spönsors as some GM fans are stuck worshiping individuals. People keep crying for midfielders but when Pinchez came to negotiate a contract what happened? We reap what we sow!

From the onset let me wish each & every blogger a happy festive season & a prosperous 2014.
“Flava” & this Obwoge have a knack of scoring against Efusi hence the panic from some quarters.Given our current crisis & disorganization I think its one of the better signings since at least the guy features in 2013 scorers list I think with 5.
Having given up “on across the boda” signings my take is EC pulls out all stops 2 sign Mieno & Kahata. Lets 4get the Zambian & Walusimbi if we haven’t signed them

Lots of noises from useless bloggers. Gor has an office operating under the able chairmanship of Ambrose Rachier. When Gor was almost relegated, where were you the noise makers? You are all useless with your incorrect and biased postings,

If you are dissatisfied, bring the real men you think can run the club. Note that the team can’t be run and managed through bloggers with useless postings. I can bet that if the club is left into your hands, all of you bloggers will run away and will be hiding in your bedrooms with your narrow comments and postings.

@ Kassam you beat me 2 it, took the words right out of my mouth. Its pure balony 2 claim that AR or any individual 4 that matter finances GM. Even RAO’s much appreciated & publized contributions of 1M r pale in comparision 2 the 40M raised by fans of which more than 70% is from terrace fans.
If AR claims 2 b financing GM then why not table audited accounts 2 prove it. My take is that its GM thats financing a lot of people/things thats y matters football r secondary 2 elections/officials.

Now 2 former Jakom Mwango i you almost convinced me with your compelling appeal but Sir, how will postponing elections help a divided EC which can’t manage player contracts. In the current situation 2 crucial positions of S.G & treasurer r being transacted by individuals who opted not 2 seek re-election & didn’t pay the fees 2 vie. The S.G even stated that GM who release 13 players, WHAT WAS THE MOTIVE?
But most important Sir can u shed some light on the GM plot having been chairman b4 AR.

  • ODUOR12

Surely ua in a better position 2 resolve this issue. If the plot was grabbed then y not negotiate 4 GM 2 b compensated then fighting 2 get the plot back. If some ex-officials sold the plot then say so.
Let’s not use the excuse of CAF 2 shelve the elections since I doubt if we cn make any impact given the confusion at GM now. Rather lets hold elections ASAP participate in CAF but challenge/prepare properly 4 the league,CECAFA,GoTv cups. Delaying elections indefinitely may lead 2 legal actions.

It is the bloggers who don’t know obwoge who can talk bad about him.this guy is avery good striker ,with a good midfield obwoge will surprise many, in fact he is among the strikers that lugarusic proposed to be bought when he was going for holidays but chemelil refused to release him.@Ingo you have to know that in gor mahia we dont sign names like your coach Nandwa who is putting tribe ahead instead of soccer,in gor mahia we dont concentrantrate so much in tribe but it is performance my friend.we always take unknown players and try to groom, like we deed for masika whom you have wasted and is going to be released before january. My friend ingo Afc leopards is leading in wasting players talent in kenya, look at masika, ochieng ,omoto ,Ndayisaba the guys were red hot when they were taken from their previous clubs but all diminished within one season so you should concentrate on afc leopards issues before you talk.Another issue that you should take in to account is that you have signed names in afc leopards but in real sense they lack quality.Let us talk about musa mude ,the guy is good but the injury he is having and his age will not allow him to perform, the musa mude in afc know is not the one who used to be in sofapaka some years back,Another one is long chase the shikokoti guy ,age has caught up with him and cant manage tricky strikers like ssserenkuma and others, then there is the keli guy i want to tell you that keli performed well in kcb because he had stayed there and gelled well with the likes of osumba and alwanga, the guys had stayed together and they knew each other and if not careful he is going to be wasted in afc like ochieng,Another one is situma the guy is also old but his production can still be accounted for,the kasaya guy is very in disciplined and also has small small mistakes that can really cost the team.so in short mr ingo no one is perfect and no one can be 100% perfect but you guys, don’t always put tribe ahead of performance,To the extent that you end up signing wazee wa njuri ncheke kwa team. The unknown names we have signed will perform and i assure you they will frustrate afc and fire NANDWA. who knew owino calabar we just took the guy from karuruturi and know no defender can match him in kenya, another one is wanyonyi and njuguna among many others in gor mahia like lavatsa, musa, akumu, kevo and the rest, no one knew them but the guys are performing so it is not about tribe and big names. happy x mas bloggers.

  • I agree with u totaly@20.We @ Gor we dont go 4r names but we go 4r quality.we only ensure that our TB is the best.Last season we went 4r Ochieng & our midfield was among the best. With all the best players pple think r only in sofapaka & tusker, we managed to win the league. So those who r in Gor & would want Gor to go 4r names shud look for another team bcos our policy is release the potential in talented players.we started with Jerry 2 blackberry 2 Akumu 2 Owino ‘calabar’ 2 Musa 2 Sserenkuma .

Great minds discuss ideas, average mind minds discuss issues and simple minds discuss people. So goes the old adage.I am honored to be part of this site.I am also glad that Shemeji Ingo, unwittingly, gave us the topic for discussion yesterday. We always taunt our mashemejis and they understand it better than most of us bloggers and Gor fans. They know when it’s an insult and when its just a picky packy.Little wonder that most of the blogs questioned Ingo’s background in law.Not that he cannot be a lawyer, and, all that was done with tongue in the cheek. It’s unfortunate that some of our very respected bloggers felt that those who criticized Ingo are AR’s mouth pieces and those who didn’t are Adede’s followers.Since when did supporting AR or Adede become a crime?Isn’t it a democratic right for every Gor supporter? Those of us supporting Adede have reasons for doing it.Same applies to AR’s followers. When we go ballistic like jamigori and @ jb,we stand the risk of misleading bloggers. We are created differently. We think and reason differently. When humanity gets the link-and it is a problem for many-between unity and diversity result is always peace and progress.Lets treat each other’s opinion with utmost respect and, please, lets limit discussions to ideas and issues. It’s a mark of an edu educated mind to entertain a thought even though he doesn’t agree with it.What’s your take on that @ jb and @ jamigori?

    @Jack Omollo you read my mind and i have been telling people exactly the same. The problem with AFC is being fixed with tribal tag with their signing from years back. Regarding their current signing for sure they dont scare me rather for me i would go for young technically slightly experienced players. Look at our players at the national team they have an average of 23 years not forgetting Kevo who should be in that team and would pass for that age. Jared Obwonge, Walusimbi, Joseph Kariuki fall in that category too. In my opinion we need to rope in Kahata and Kingatua who are skilled and fall in that age bracket. Our thinking as a club should be different from that of AFC coach Nandwa.Then our best 11 squad would be something like this;
    1. Jerry
    2. Musa
    3. Walusimbi
    4. Calabar
    5. Emuge
    6. Akumu
    7. Lavatsa
    8. Kahata
    9. Obwoge
    10. Sserenkuma
    11. Kevo
Hey that is my opinion. Exceptionally young (exception of Emuge & Jerry) but extremely talented players who can turn ou currently boring style of play to something beatiful and worth paying for to watch.

The first six or so bloggers respond to Ingo and dnt contribute to the subject matter, the next seven or so do the same by politicking over non issues. I propose to say a bit about Obwoge n the other Gor signings. These lads are all very good players. If u av bn watching the just ended TPL season u wl agree wt me.Some of us hate Kariuki bcoz of his tribe n his 20 minutes cameo in the Super Cup bt the boy will mk them eat their own words. We need to style up sometimes. Can those making the loudest noise abt signings propose the ‘better ‘ players they wnt signed?

@Simeon Kariuki is a good player and the touch is there. The supercup to me was neither here or there why? You cannot have such a tournament at a time like when it was held. Most of the players were already offseason but most of the fans had as usual unnecessary high expectations. The mistake Bobby made was to play our regular players. Most of the players should have sat out and let the new and fringe players show us what they got. Some of our fans should learn to play mature otherwise we shall remain to them “what did you expect”
