Gor Mahia signs health Insurance deal with Chase

Chase Bank are set to sign a lucrative deal that will see the bank’s assurance department insure the players and the technical bench to the tune of Kshs15 million in a long term deal.

Omondi Aduda who was part of the negotiations informed supersport.com of the modalities of the deal that will see players and their families benefit in medical insurance for the first time since inception of the club in 1968.

“I can confirm it’s a done deal and it involves Chase Assurance giving medical insurance to 30 players, the technical bench and their families. It is important that players are insured to give them the motivation to work harder without being worried about themselves or even their immediate families.”

“The deal should be signed before the end of the week and i will be meeting with the Gor Mahia chairman to discuss on the modalities but it’s a very positive time coming at a time that the players consider their safety as paramount,” Aduda told supersport.com.

“It is important that we have to come together to work for the club in ensuring everything is streamlined in terms of player comfort that is because they are the same people expected to give good results on the pitch and their welfare is a big concern “he added.

Gor Mahia’s title sponsors Tuzo will not be renewing their sponsorship that ends on March 31st and the entry of Chase assurance will go a long way in helping K’Ogalo provide health services for its players.

Bobby Impressed

Gor Mahia players impressed their head coach, Bobby Williamson, after recording their second straight win as well as keeping a consecutive a clean sheet.

-I am impressed with the way my boys played. To record our second win in a row as well as keep a clean sheet in both games is a job well done, said Williamson.

But he was unhappy after left back Godfrey Walusimbi was ruled out of Mathare United clash by the match officials during checkups on Sunday 23 February 2014 for forgetting to carry his player license card.

In a post match interview, the former Uganda Cranes international coach expressed his disappointment having failed to utilize the services of the towering defender amidst accusing him of mischief.

John Terry

-He can’t do that, I mean he is not an amateur in this industry, he is a professional he should not have done such a mistake, how can he forget his card a player of his caliber, a furious Bobby said.

-It’s like John Terry forgetting something prior to the match, it can’t happen, it was unfortunate that I was forced to replace him when he was ruled out of the lineup, I can’t tolerate that, he will have to wait for his chance in the next match.

Dan Sserunkuma goal

Walusimbi had been lined up to start but after the rule out, Kevin Oluoch replaced him. Gor won 1-0 thanks to a Dan Sserunkuma goal-his second in two league matches.

Journalists can be amazing!! They will be looking to use some words even when the words are inappropriate. Did he/she have to use the word “towering” He/she must find out the meaning of “towering”

@BobbynWilliamson point taken. Walusimbi committed PROFFESSIONAL negligence. But who ahold be the custodian of such sensitive documents? Is it not the TM who failed to do the Pre-requisite inquiry prior to setting off to Macahakos. Ouna that’s a wake up call.

@ ogango you are right and straight to the point, what is the work of the TM….?This is his duty and he is the one to be blamed, this is like a parent taking a stanard one kid to school for admission without a book and a pen….in this case who is to be blamed…?a parent is the one responsible for the failure since it is his responsibility to buy for the kid stationaries.ouna knows very well his work and walusimbi should not be used as a scape goat.

With the insurance cover the players can now concentrate on doing what they do best. Thanks EC and Chase bank.
Now what we need to do is to get a shirt/main sponsor and with that the sky will be the limit

@ Jackie Oohmollo, what is it with the loud & direct abuses & threats?
It seems any view not in line with yours is as per your latest discovered terminology “stupid”.
Stop getting so hot under the collar coz at gormahia.net views are as diverse as day & night btw rest assured that the best antidote to Ingos (& maybe Jakoyos) is GM’s progress both on & off the field.
That said feel free to carry on your anti-stupidity/threating campaign.

@ODUOR12 my name is jack omollo, unless you want to bring your petty cheap politics which is your nature and we are used to it in this blog,i see today you don’t have anything to say about gor mahia officials and you are trying to divert our attention.By the way where is jakoyo…? that is the only person i can rhyme you with in this blog, since the day he was broadcasting live from Bitam and we realized that he is an impostor he has never posted anything.

  • Mistakes do happen jothurwa, and we can excuse the guy,on a brighter side, weren’t you all surprised by the account Oluoch gave himself? Indeed, if he was not aware through the week that he would be in the starting line up?! Trust me comrades, Walusimbi will never forget his ka license never ever, having watched Oluoch, he has seen the threat that he’s got.
On a lighter note: I ACHABO i live with Sserenkuma in same estate: Met him yesterday and gave him a token of Ksh.1,000 for his match winning goal scored on Sunday, I realized how humble the guy is, and delighted that the little I had we could share:Lesson, these boys are happy when we support them, telling how special they are: GOOD DAY guys.

  • @cafootball I bet your team Esperance will use some of that money to bribe the referee to be biased in the return leg in Tunisia. North and West African teams are known for biasedness.

    Achabo, congratulations.
On another note, I have tried to even write to the chairman giving him insights and the will some of us have to help the club to my suprise, not even a note of receipt from him. I personally appriciate where he’s brought us from but we can have much in our kitty.

I walked in the clubs office expecting to find a running office where you can discuss serious matters but the clue less faces I found there were disheartening. Everyone refered me to the Chairman. Can the EC organize the office for us to get audience? Its for the club’s sake not Rachier or any person.

  • Papamiky, thanks my man, I hope you never relent till your idea is put across, I personally, I desire to help the team anywhere I can, and same should be of everyone who purports to be an ardent supporter of the mighty Team.
Blessings & glory to9 the team, it is gonna be hard this weekend, but the team should know that we love & appreciate them: whatever the outcome We shall rejoice.
