Gor Mahia take on Karuturi sans Loga

Gor Mahia resumed training under the club’s assistant coach, the legendary defensive stopper  Bobby Ogolla on June 8. They will resume their KPL campaign with a match against Karuturi at Afraha stadium. In the absence of Logarusic, Bobby has been taking the players through their paces. Gor Mahia will be hard pressed because the Afraha stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for them and Karuturi has always been a tough nut to crack. “It is one of our boggie teams and it is true we have always struggled against them. This time round we want to get rid of that history and beat them,”  Bobby Ogolla told michezoafrika.com

Gor Mahia will be buoyed by the return of Mungai Kiongera who missed most of the first leg. The long break will have done Gor Mahia a world of good because there were several  players who were nursing minor injuries. Gor Mahia will also be hard pressed because their rivals Tusker and AFC Leopards have significantly strengthened their sides whereas Gor Mahia have not addressed the problems they had in the first leg, more specifically the midfield which was below par.

All the best Sir Bobby and the boys. I will accept the outcome, whatever the case. Liwalo liwe. Any briefs about this new boy Eric Ochieng, in the midfield? The line up looks very ‘tactical’ and strategic.

  • All the best. @Bandit, Ochieng’ is a good player acquired from Bandari. Lineup looks good. We can introduce Sereginene and Kiongechwa to kill them off when they tire.

  • I have also just seen the line up, so we assume we have only acquired paul odhiambo and eric ochieng in the transfer windon ?…….they must be really good to command a starting line up !!!!!!

  • Congrats boys. Not sure if we have accepted and MOVED on but I can assure you that Loga will be on the next plane to ‘claim’ his job. At least now the EC will dictate erms to him.
This shows that Gor is bigger than any individual

I think Sir Bob Ogolla should be supported by all to deliver the trophy for us. Let Loga know that Gor was there b4 he came & will continue to xsist without him.Now that Sir Bob has won his 1st match without Loga he should be given time to create Gor mentality within the playing unit. Keep working hard sir we r behind u.Loga found u with the team & he has run away from the team. Now proove that what loga can do u can do better. Thanks 4r 3 points.
