Gor Mahia take on Nakumatt in GoTV semis

Gor Mahia resume  their quest for a quadruple title season when they take on Nakumatt on Wedneday in the 2015 GoTV semis.  Nakumatt are currently placed second in the second tier league and have virtually no chance of being promoted to the Kenya Premier League next season. However they have been actively recruiting experienced players including former Gor Mahia players Wycliff Kasaya, Chris Wekesa and Donald Mosoti. They also have former AFC Leopards ace Martin Imbalambala. Thanks to their experienced players, Nakumatta have eliminated two KPL teams: Nairobi City Stars and SoNy Sugar.

Nakumatt are therfore no pushovers. Their key player is Peter Nzuki who has scored 10 goals this season as well as a number of other former KPL players: Kevin Thairu and john Njoroge.

Gor Mahia fans will be hoping thatthe issue of unpaid dues is settled. Gor Mahia players had threatened not to honour their GoTV shield     matches.

“We have played our hearts out this season, winning the league unbeaten, securing the KPL Top 8 title and we also managed to reach Cecafa finals where we unfortunately lost to Azam FC. Everybody can agree with us that we have given our all, and currently we are in GOtv Shield semis.

“However, we have not been paid our dues and that is worrying us. As a matter of fact we have given them until Tuesday evening to settle our dues failure to which we might not turn up for the match, unfortunately.”  said a player to goal.com

The good news for Gor Mahia is that most of their players who were playing in the CECAFA senior challenge cup were eliminated early leaving them with enough time to recuperate before the match.

Ve tried to tell gor office not to allow players to leave but they failed to listen.

Since the gor office is bankrupt lets cut the cloth according to material we have.

The only majaluo that should join gormaria are David ochieng cheche n Wilson obungu if bonifaco oluoch leaves No other Majaluo should be allowed in.

We need Rama salim.nyakeya from gor junior n timona wanyonyi.mangoli

Gor will recruit ably. No need to worry. Who told anybody that the EC id sleeping? This year we made the same concerns but we ended up unbeaten. On Shakava Tusker is within their right to want him. We also wantJohanna of Mathare

shshshhs….stop weighing our weight with the KPl..we are talking of continental cup. The players opughtbto be registered earlier. we are not recruiting for KPL. wa have already proved that beyond doubt, its time top venture out and measure ourselves where we belong. with Zamalek, Arab contractors, Pirates,Leopards of Congo who knocked us out..

Tusker will take Shakakava and spoil him. If Shakakava wants to maintain his form then he should stay in Gor. Gor has some of the best players who used to play for tusker. Bonface, Aucho, Collins, Olunga etc. These players are shining at Gor while they could not shine at Tusker.

Definitely the EC has done well considering lack of sponsors for the past two years. The dues issue is truly a concern but let’s hope all shall be sorted out amicably.

We all wish the team well but without a stable cash flow we may not land the quality players we need in the team.
