Gor Mahia take on Ulinzi next
Gor Mahia will be seeking to extend their unbeaten run when they take on Ulinzi Stars this Saturday. Matches against Ulinzi are never easy and though Gor Mahia has the upper hand, many of these encounters end in draws. When these two teams last met on September 17 of 2014, the game ended scoreless.
“Matches between us and Gor Mahia have always been very tough but we are ready for them. They have started the season very well but so have we. Our confidence has risen very well and everyone in the unit is itching to do well and win matches,” said James Saruni the Ulinzi vice captain when speaking to his club’s site.
Robert Matano is a very effective coach when it comes to spoiling the game. But in coach Frank Nuttall he will be facing a formidable opponent who has proven adept at prying open defences. But Ulinzi are confident that they can keep a clean sheet against Gor Mahia
“Gor Mahia have very good strikers and we should be very wary of them. But what I am confident of is our defence which has been very sharp this season. We have kept four clean sheets in eight games and in all we have conceded only six. That goes to show how much of a tight defence we have.”
Gor Mahia will be approaching this game with caution.
“Currently we are riding high but that does not matter on match day, we might wake up on the wrong side which might affect our output. We just hope we will keep the momentum going and emerge victorious. It will be a huge step forward for us.” said Gor Mahia assistant coach Frank Ouna.
all the best to the team.as long as we take the many chances we create,we will win!!
All the best
Matano is at it already! Crying over poor officiation yet the match has not been played. Putting the pressure on the refs and the fans( inciting)……Kogallo put his foot in his mouth the way you silenced Mike Mururi….
@Collins, we will silence him. Those are mind games
gor is very tactical , if we can play a game like the one against Sofapanya and utilized the chances we will create , then am sure we will retain GINI UN BEATEN !!!!!

At the spectator unfriendly CT stadium with only 7,500 (6000 terrace & 1500 VIP) tickets printed Gor Vs S,paka raised kshs.1.4M. So two games will give the club kshs.2.8M. The tickets went for VIP 600 & terraces 300. There were also fake tickets meaning lost revenue.
Now take the game to the spacious Nyayo and print 15,000 tickets (12000 terrace & 3000 VIP at 150bob and 400bob). If you sell 10,000 terrace tickets @ 150 you will raise kshs.1.5M and 2000 VIP tickets will give you kshs.800,000. Total possible gate collections will be kshs.2.3M.
Almost kshs.1M more per home game,
Guarantee security and kshs.3M plus per every GMFC home game is easy. For the 15 home games that’s a cool Kshs.45M before being altered or corrupted by statutory deductions.
That’s why stakes are so high to become a GMFC official.
Its laughable when the Chair announces at an AGM that GMFC gate collections were on kshs.9M
That why parallel entry is endemic.

The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) encounter pitting Gor Mahia and Sofapaka raised a total Kshs. 1, 422, 900 despite fake tickets identified at the venue – Nairobi City Stadium.
The amount could have been higher had it not been the presence of few tickets which had no seals and stamps as confirmed by Gor Mahia Treasurer Kennedy Otieno who has said that they have requested the ticketing agent (Earthview) to submit a report on the allegations of the former.
7 500 tickets
-We raised a total Kshs. 1, 422, 900 from yesterday’s game from the 7, 500 tickets printed. 6000 for the terraces and 1500 for VIP, Otieno revealed to futaa.com
@oduor12
the office is inept. Lack new ideas.
It is the players who keeping them in the office for keeping us at position 1 in this year. Two titles so far.
It is poor AFC management that make them look very good.
The tenure is hanging on a thread;
AFC bad management thread and the players winning games. when these things change, they will start seeing the exit doors and windows more clearly
@Oduor12, you are very right. Gor Mahia has outgrown this filthy City Stadium. There are reasons why some EC officials prefer City because it is very easy to sell fake receipts first.
It’s true fans are never comfortable at city stadium but could it be an issue of cost? Nyayo takes 20% of the gate collections which is too much. For a game of city vs sofa that amount is too small. Do @ODUOR as you compute the gate collections note that the amount is gross. After security, stadium And tickets printing deductions the tram retains around 60%. Maybe we should host some matches in kisumu
Ulinzi is a very physical side, but we can beat them tactically. All the best!

@ oduor12 I get your point
It’s only wise that the EC works with the gate collection to run the club , now that they have soiled their hands
Maybe they step aside … I guess over their dead body
