Gor Mahia take on Wazito

Gor Mahia will resume their 2018 Kenya Premier League campaign on Wednesday when they take on Wazito FC. Wazito are the hosts and they have opted to hold the match at Kisumu to maximize gate takings.

Gor Mahia are red hot after having won the 2018 Sportpesa Supercup without conceding a goal. The sportpesa Supercup always brings the best out of Gor Mahia. However the team does have a tendency to let their guard down when they are playing local opposition.

On paper, bottom placed Wazito should not bother Kogalo. The last time these two sides met was on April 11. Gor Mahia won 1-0 with a goal from Jacque Tuyisenge. Aside from being the bottom side, Wazito are in bad shape having lost their two games 0-3 to Nzoia United and 0-3 to Nakumatt. And they will have to play without their key player Pistone Mutamba who is said to be leaving the club.

“I think we have had a very good run as a team and the momentum has been great. We are unbeaten so far and it will be a good thing to maintain the same run but I know it will not be easy against Wazito. Though they have not had a good run of late, for them playing against Gor Mahia is like a Cup final,” Kerr said to michezoafrika.com

However Kerr may opt to  to rest key players since players like Shakava, Kahata and Kagere have played numerous consecutive games.

“I need to assess the players and get to know from them who is in the right frame physically and mentally to play. I have an idea of the squad that will play but we need to make sure we pit in a good squad with fresh legs,” the coach continued.

Just keep the fine form, I hope the the green army in western Kenya will give the boys much needed support to carry the maximum points. We in Nairobi will hope that the three points will be safe. On another note, administration please, do you mean we don’t have any news on transfer.

  • As a firm believer and defender of the tenets of human rights , I feel that the way we are vanquishing opponents who have laid apostrate with legs apart at our menacing feet is grossly unfair and merciless to say the least .
The helplessness and hopelessness at which opponents succumb at the mere mention of our name is unmatched , so much so that even when we take leave of our local assignments for five weeks , every team avoids displacing as from our number one spot for fear of ruthless reprisals .
Now just this afternoon Wazito have soaked in four bila any notable resistance , like a culprit waiting for the gallows , Nzoia await their fate this Sunday .
We as Kogalo need to appreciate the art of mercy because at this rate , teams will soon decide not to bother turning up , at least with the obvious thumping awaiting them , they would have saves on the transport , time and other related logistics .
Gor Mahia is becoming sucg a collussus that if other teams dont measure up , we might be forced to forfeit participating in this league and maybe register in the South African league .
This unbridled thirst to show no mercy is just too much , it is overwhelming and I dont know how much more I can take .
Big up to the boys , the EC , the TB and the whole Kogalo fraternity .
To the rest along the way , open the way coz this Kogalo is simply unstoppable .
My case is hereby rested , case ingine baadaye

To fans, keep pushing the boundaries of performance and demand for the best, dont mince words. keep pressing those buttons

To EC, please priority must be the league title , CECAFA and CAF semi final. surely, this three in the bag and we shall be forever greatful. the best performance since 1982.

To TB, thanks for heading to our plead, please continue keeping them ‘ passengers’ off the bench until they shape up or worse still,…….shipped out in two weeks. performance must be rewarded at whatever price.

To AR, Keep up the style and demand from sportpesa that next time, we shall NOT participate in useless promotion of their brand in Africa if they do not cough up at least kshs 100 million per annum……we have carried their brand singlehandedly, we deserve some serious respect yajowa !

Finally, to Meddie Kagere you are now officially No. 8 in the all time record goalscoring chart for Gor Mahia and No. 1 TOP Scoring foreigner of all time at GOR MAHIA with 37 league goals. Aim for Hezborn Omollo’s all time record goalscoring feat , it can be achieved if you stay focussed and sign a new contract.

Jackie we don’t have passengers this time round. All those boys are very capable. Only one of them is not at his best and. I request you to support that young man to pick himself up and move on. We must appreciate that he is going through a very difficult time. All is not lost for him though. What he must do is never to allow another human being to programme his life for him. He has truly been wronged , but I believe he can still rise up and own a beach house in Zanzibar just like Victor Wanyama.

Talk of passengers, I find it very dishonest of Passenger 27 to sue Gor Mahia of wrongful dismissal yet he knows very well he was a complete flop in K’Ogalo.
