Gor Mahia take on Zoo Kericho

Gor Mahia fans in Kericho least season.

So far in 2018, Kogalo have won their three competitive matches, beating AFC in the Super Cup 1-0, before beating Nakumatt 4-0 and Leones Vegeterianos 2-0. They will be looking to take their good form to Kericho Green stadium in Thursday.

Last season Gor Mahia beat the Kericho based side 1-0 and drew 1-1 in the second leg. But captain Haron Shakava expects a tough outing.

“We have played Zoo twice and we know how stubborn and tricky they can be. Remember, they also lost their opening match. So, we expect a very tough match tomorrow (Thursday),”  said Shakava to goal.com

Sammy coach, the Zoo Kericho coach is determined to put on a good performance.

“We respect Gor Mahia, but we are not afraid of them… and in football, anything is possible. We know their capabilities. It’s no doubt they have quality players and everything favours them, but for us this is a chance to bounce back and redeem ourselves after the Ulinzi lose.

“We are ready psychologically and in a right state of mind. We are ready to give 100 per cent in this tie. It will not be a walk in the park for both teams. But we just need to remain focused, play our game and see what happens after the 90 minutes,” he told the Standard.

Captain Shakava also called on fans to come in numbers to support the team. Attendance for the opening match against Nakumatt and against Leones Vegeeranos was way below par.

“We need your support,” said Shakava.

@Jasego, The line of thought you have brought to the table I think is a good one. In itself it is suggesting that there is rivalry, or a bone to chew. This is good for the sport. IF as fans we caught this flew, I wonder how much of it did the team catch. I am think that it is also running in their vain. It is time to prove who is the best. The podium or the pitch. However, Zoo must not be underrated, because they will come with the same zeal, to show that their man did not get it by fluke or favouritism. As search it creates a hard game which if played in the spirit of sports, Gor should have a very good game as well as practice. all in preparation of their second leg match in E. Guinea. Incidentally, it is all about competition and every body goes to win , the other results are unfortunates..

Stop it @jakoyo. Ask our almighty Chair to contact TUJU and everything else will be sorted out by just a mere phone call. Why suffer or RESIST while we know where to get funds.
