Gor Mahia to hold its AGM on Jan 24th
Gor Mahia FC Chairman Ambrose Otieno Rachier has once again honoured his words when he said after his election to the office that he will always respect the club’s constitution which states that the club’s leadership mandate will be subjected to an annual renewal. This event was supposed to have taken place in July last year but members requested the current officials to continue with their work until the end of 2009 KPL season. The current office obliged and a promise was made that it would be done before the league kicks off hence the set date. Major on the card besides elections/confirmation of new office bearers will be a chance to overhaul the current constitution to match the modern FIFA statutes which advocates for longer term for office bearers if meaningful objectives are to be met.

I appeal to fans to re-elect Ambrose Rachier as the Chairman of Kogalo and political youth wingers like Dede and Jamadar as well as Ben Oluoch Okelo & Vicent Other officials together were big let down to the club in 2009 competition and hence they should be rejected at the AGM.
Im in agreement with the sentiments of Otis. Only Rachier tried to run the club whilst other officials were pale shadow. Before officials are elected, they need to be vetted by fans and ythis proposal in future will weed out people like Jamadar, Dede, Kodera, Prof Were. At the AGM, we need to elect at least two ladies in the Committee and bring more women to the governors level.
I also appeal to the Chairman to aggressively look for a sponsor in the magnitude of Safaricom, Zain, Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Equity Bank, Bamburi, Kengen, KPLC, Keroche Breweries, Equity Bank, Yu, Orange Telkom, Mabati Rolling etc.
Our fans also need to be educated on how they can behave during our matches.
Why can the club management implement the following proposals with a target on about 20,000 fans:-
A. Annual Contribution Proposal
1. Outsource for 50 committed fans who can contribute Kshs.20,000 per annum,
2. 100 fans that can contribute Kshs.15,000 per annum,
3. 200 fans that can contribute Kshs.10,000 per annum,
4. 500 fans that can contribute Kshs.5000 per annum,
B Monthly Contribution Proposal
1. 1,000 fans that can contribute Kshs.1,000 per month,
2. 2,500 fans that can contribute Kshs.500 per month
3. 5,000 fans that can contribute Kshs.200 per month.
4. 10,000 fans that can contribute Kshs.100 per month
This if implemented the club will generate annual revenues of Kshs.58,000,000 that can be used to take care of the club to greater heights.
I appeal to the club officials and fans to buy this idea. This will also enable fans to watch all games and the same time acquire other infrastures such as playing ground, club house, a professional coach etc.
Just compare Gor to El Mereikh of Sudan right now.
Please Ambrose, lead the club to the promised land and the community will reward you handsomely and Gem seat can be yours for a very long time.
I appeal to Kogalo fans to re-elect the current Chairman Ambrose Rachier but to do away with ineffective officials. Once re-elected, the chairman should set up a 12 man Governing Council that should comprise of Mr. L Okudo, Ochola Ogonda, Abdalla Bekah, Mrs Rose Okumu, Mohamed of Extremme Sports, Wakiaga, Musyoka, Vimal Shah of Bidco, Ogutu of Safaricom and other prominent businessmen who can help the club to get a sponsor.
I fully support Malo Malo proposal as the best to ensure that Gor Mahia will increase its finances. Chairman, come up other innovative maens to help Gor Mahia.
Please jo Gor revamp this site and make it up todate to generate more hits.
A good website is not only great for mobilizing the fans but, also a selling ppoint to potential sponsors coupled with club marchandise for visibility….. what happened to the much touted new playing kit??
Also… why does the ‘official site’ still have the old logo?
We need to get the little things right and on track and then take it from there…..Jo Kogalo untie?!
I think it’s high time Gor looked for a worthy sponsor to tune of atleast 15 Million, look at Sofapaka and Blue Triangle,Mathare and KDN
Are there any lack for getting Gor Mahia sponsor this year? Chairman please use your influence to a sponsor for Gor Mahia.
I urgue gor to elect good leaders who have the intrests of the team at heart, not gready politicians who want to use football as a campaigning weapon, dont lead us into problems like the one facing afc leopaeds.
we have young and talented players in gor. We need an office where the officials are ready to motivate the players by at least paying them
Just like this country, Gor needs radical surgery and needs to be dragged out of the ICU.
Gor needs young vibrant individuals who are in touch with the times and will inject fresh meaningful ideas that will see the club rise to its rightful position…
Gor is our Zamalek, our Asec Mimosa, our Esperance, our Kaiser Chiefs… but unfortunately we do not come anywhere close to any of those clubs in terms of management and investment.
Dear Mr.Chairman
Where is your Business Plan?
I think we should consider revamping this website. how about creating a merchandise unit for online buyers…
