Gor Mahia to miss to key players

Gor Mahia will be welcoming Karuturi Sports at the City Stadium this weekend as they seek to pile pressure on league leaders Tusker, with the two yet to play in what might be a title decider.

However, Zdravko Logarusic will miss the services of two key players who will be suspended for the tie. Left back Chris Wekesa and central defender Ivan Anguyo have both accumulated five yellow cards and will miss the match.

On the absence of the two, Coach Logarusic has the options of playing either Yussuf Juma who has impressed in the two last matches he has played or David Owino who can play virtually in any position in defense.

At central defense, Coach Logarusic might pull in Musa Mohammed who played for the whole 90 minutes in the FKF Quarter against Muhoroni.

Gor are placed second on the log on 49 points, just two points behind league leaders Tusker. The Brewers will be facing Muhoroni Youth on the same day and if they slip by losing or drawing and Gor wins, the Kā€™Ogalo will be on top of the table.

Other players who will also be suspended for weekend matches are Thika United’s David Bogere, Tusker keeper Boniface Oluoch and Rangers FC striker Baldin Ngwa.

  • All the best lads. Let those who will be drafted in to ensure that there are no gaps in defence. The slogan remains, ONE GAME AT A TIME. Let’s also avoid the unnecessary cards as they might affect us later on

  • i am beginning to suspect that Bwana reads these comments i thnk thats good. bringing the gor games on weekends is a good idea. as said before i do not see reason why gor matches should be played on wkdays yet we need revenue. i for one hardly watch gor matches coz i have to go to work. i hope the karuturi game will mark the start to wkend games. so congrats mr bwana. with revenue, alot of ideas suggested in this sight will be easy to implement.
my other take is communication btwn the EC and the fans or branches. u notice alot of suspicion on how money is being eaten here and there. can gor management have effective communication or is it the various branches that are not relaying the infor. why so many rumours on the bus for example, what really happened? was it bought cash or loan, does gor owe money on the bus.. i thnk when we supporters are comfortable with the answers the nxt time the club says it’s wants to buy a car or calls for a fund raising, it will get a lot of support. right now u call for an harambee and all of a sudden all u see is accusations and theories that leaves you wondering wether this is the same gor or is it another club in Mars!

  • No team should be underrated in TPL,however,i think these suspensions are timely rather than when could have come against Tusker.I am convinced that we have able replacements in Juma “Toto” at the left back and Owino “Jasirati” at the central defence.

Unlikely to see tusker loose to muhoroni…….gor mahia will still play catch up!

  • Indeed k’ogalo keep going do not look over your shoulders for at the back you have a cheering squad that urges you on. In relation to the suspended guys, we can at least appreciate the fact that Gor plays as a Team and as the Coach always says that he would like to see players handling any position that they be assigned to, thus the tendency to switch players around. I am confident that those who will be on the pitch will be up to the task.

Three points on sato…the pressure is on! On another note, I heard that blackberry is back and training in Buru Buru alongside Gatuso. Hopefully these two can change their attitudes and they can be great signings in January 2013!

It is my solemn prayer to the Almighty Lord and Heavenly Father that He will continue to give us victories upon victories on all our four remaining matches (i.e Karuturi, Tusker, Muhoroni Youth and Thika United) in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. Amen…………………….

Our heavenly father, we shall return all the glory, honour, praises and thanksgiving to your holly name after the victories in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Let all the bloggers say AMEN & AMEN

Pod intie, thanks for this piece of information about B.B and Gatuso, Let me share in your desire and request to see them back in Gor. Without any case building effort to influence any decision for or against them, the boys are performers. I leave it for the Ec and tec.bench to decide. But remember next year is tricky with continental competitions beckoning.

We have enough defenders and mid fielders so there is no cause for alarm. We will emerge victorious
