Gor Mahia to play KCB

Gor Mahia who are currently training in Nakuru, will play KCB FC on Wednesday in a build up match as they prepare for their CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Big Bullets of Malawi.

“We will be training down there and play a friendly match against KCB in Nakuru on Wednesday then continue with our training through to Saturday and come back to Nairobi.” said coach Zedekiah Otieno to futaa.com

All players are in camp with the exception of those who were away in international duty. Most notably Jacque Tuyisenge who scored twice for Rwanda against CAR over the weekend. The match ended 2-2.

“We’ve had our training sessions as planned and so far so good. We have some players who are away with their national teams but they should be back by Tuesday when our next program will be starting and that will be in Nakuru County for about four days.” he continued.

Big Bullets for their part have been camping in Tanzania where they played against Simba of Dar es Salaam. Zico knows what to expect from the Malawians.

“I watched Nyasa Bullets against Simba in a friendly match and noted some elements which will we prepare for in order to get good results.” he said.

Against Simba, the Malawians retreated to a defensive shell, which is likely what they will do against Gor Mahia as they try to get a crucial away point.

Bullets will play Tusker FC in another friendly, thus offering coach Zico another opportunity to study them.

According to Jolawi Obondo, the match will take place on Wednesday November 28.

“There are changes, we are playing Nyasa Bullets on the November 28 at Kasarani from 7.00pm, the return leg will also be played on December 5 and not 4th as earlier communicated. We want to give our best and ensure we progress to the next stage of the competition.” said Jolawi to goal.com

  • Praying for a miracle/the best but prepared for the worst.1)A failed coach who has had too many bites of the cherry 2)Dud signings due to non payment of signing on fees 3)Expecting players with outstanding payments to win but remember this GorMAHIA/MAHONO
