Gor Mahia training in Naivasha

From michezoafrika.com
FKL Cup Champions Gor Mahia are headed to the Serene Rift Valley Town of Naivasha where they are expected to pitch camp for four days before they come back to Nairobi for the season opening DSTV Super Cup match against KPL champions Tusker.

According to Gor secretary General, the team is expected back in Nairobi on Saturday morning before the clash against Tusker FC on Sunday afternoon.

“The team went out this morning and it will be a camp and team building time for the boys before the season. We want to get out of the busy and noisy Nairobi environment and get some place where we can relax and reflect without distraction” Says Bwana.

Gor Mahia have a busy schedule in the new season, kicking off their league campaign against Thika United away in Thika on Sunday February 12th before playing Mozambique Side Ferroviaro a week later in the CAF Confederations Cup in Maputo.

Gor over the weekend were held by visitors Al- Mareikh to a 1-1 draw in a friendly at the Nyayo Stadium.

Yes how much? No suspicion just for information since we ar concern for the good of the club. The acquisition of central defender Donald Mosoti is good, a tough no nonsense defender and will stabilize the defence which for sometime appeared shaky. Thanks office.

All the best team. Things to remember in 2012.
1.K’galo is probably the best supported club in East & Central Africa as the friendly against El-Merreik proved,so we need this replicated on the pitch ‘barcelona style’
2.Remember our colours r GREEN at home n WHITE away

Is Kogalo playing any friendly while in Naivasha?. Oserian FC is back in the league and maybe we can test them.

  • From the list of 30 George Midenyo is missing. Not sure what is going on here. I hope this is not the case else it would be unfair to the player to be dropped on the eve of the transfer unless there was some exchange of players somewhere.

We need to clear this Midenyo story, if only we had an official website, we’d have seen the full squad. On Felixinho, during our friendly with City Stars, i saw him pick up a querrel with Mapunda after he let pass a ball while Mapunda expected him to clear it as a City Stars player was closing in. An arguement ensued between the two and he kept fueling it. I can’t help but think that he can be a thorn and may be this makes his team mates a little uncomfortable. Having sat next to him last sunday during the match against El Merreikh, i got this feeling that he is not 24 as reported (30 atleast). Then may be he has not really been cleared by all football authorities that be so he could have been a time bomb. But i see the sense in keeping him around as he’ll be very useful in the 2nd half of the season.
