Gor Mahia transfer news Dec-22-2017

Gor Mahia are said to have agreed to terms with left full back Isaac “Lefty” Kipyegon from Zoo FC on a three-year deal. Kipyegon was in the Harambee Stars squad that recently won the CECAFA senior challenge cup.

The deal with Wesley Onguso Arasa fll through after the player made exhorbitant demands.

“Onguso insisted on one million transfer fee so the deal flopped because we were not ready to part with such a huge sum for a defender,” a source told Soka25east.

Earlier on, Gor Mahia are said to have signed another defender, Charles Momanyi from Kakamega Homeboyz.

“We’ve received Momanyi’s release letter from Kakamega Homeboyz and I can confirm that he’s now our player. Momanyi is a good young central defender and his addition to the team will definitely bring competition to our backline which is a good thing for any top club,” CEO Lordvick Aduda told Futaa.com

A Third signing is Lawrence Juma. The Nzoia United playmaker was a contender for midfielder of the year. His coach Bernard Mwalala confirmed the news.

“Lawi is a great and a disciplined boy,he’s destined for greatness. As a coach ,it’s sad to see such a player leave but once a player says he wants to progress his career elsewhere we have no choice but to let him go,we wish him the very best at Gor Mahia,” said Mwalala.

Meanwhile Humphrey Mieno, who had been a target of Gor Mahia in 2016, has now been released by Tusker and could be a target for Kogalo.

  • Every season we keep on adding this left back position and yet no one fits the bill to play there….lets conclude this transfers soonest and commence what is required. Now we should be ready for the preseason away from kenya preferably to humid country like tz or the west African and come back home for the high altitude for a week or two and will be ready to cruise past group stage and league contest

Mieno has agreed in principle so awaiting his signing contract later today,he wants two years though club prefers three.I believe it shall be ironed out soin,my last question do we snatch sikhayi on a transfer coup from ingwe to fill Karim’s position in champions league or we have mercy on shemeji?

Mieno and Onguso confirmed. At this rate Gor is going to be too strong for the competition. Like Bayern always sign the best available locally and monopolize the league. Mitna nyaka e ginene!!!

This blog accused, prosecuted and found Humphrey Mieno guilty of being too old yet the young man is only 27 years. I guess we need to repent. The flip side to this is that being aware of this accusation Mieno will announce his arrival with a bang, Guys be prepared to eat humble cassava.

We have three quality goalkeepers. We cannot just sign every good player available. K’Ogalo is not like Chelsea and Manchester United who just sign to make sure that good players don’t find their way to other teams.

A couple of seasons ago, we saw Ogwang’ offload almost the entire team and Tech Bench and soccer pundits opined that that was unwise. They were right. Ogwang’ is still mark timing todate. So if they don’t want to sanction the movement of Duncan Otieno and Shikayi to GM, it is just ok. We shall see how far their red stomach will take them.
