Gor Mahia transfer news December 18

Back in November, Cheche was seen posing with team officials

Reports suggest that Francis Kahata has joined Gor Mahia. The 24 year old has been training with Gor Mahia. He previously played for Thika United, and had two stints with KF Tirana of Albania. In his teen years, he had tryouts with Ravenna in Italy and the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Kahata is known for his immaculate ball control and ability to drive the team like an engine. There is yet to be any confirmation from club officials. Details of the contract and length are not available.

Gor Mahia are also pursuing the signature of national team central defender David Ochieng “Cheche”. A report on futaa.com suggests that Frank Nuttall has directed the club to sign him.

“Ochieng has been training with Gor since quitting his South Arabian club, Al Tawoon in June 2015 leading to speculations that he will join the Kenyan Premier League giants ahead of the 2016 season. ” said Ronald Ngala to futaa.com

Friendlies

Gor Mahia beat Gatundu combined 5-1 at Gatundu stadium on Friday. Gor Mahia scored through Michael Olunga (2), Amos Nondi (2) and Timothy Otieno. Meanwhile Karim Nizigiyimana and Francis Kahata provided assists. Gor Mahia will face Mumbi Nationale in the final after archi rivals AFC Leopards pulled out.

That Amos Nondi is featuring for the senior team is good news. He would be first player promoted from the U-19 team to the senior team. Having high quality players transition from the junior ranks to the senior team is what makes the U-19 team a worthwhile endeavor. Ideally there should be 2 or 3 players each year transitioning from the juniors to the seniors.

I hope this info will pacify those who are already blaming the EC for all sorts of things, What I have learnt about Goe , especially AR. is that they do their things silently without rushing to the press

  • This is what we need next year. CECAFA club championship. SPL championship. Supercup. Group stages of CAF. The later is hard because we have to go through TP Mazembe in second stage.

Rachier has done well… i expect another good recruitment this yr. It is gud news that a Gor jr player has joined the snr side. This is the way to go. Its the recruiters and trainers at the jnr side who need our help n attention most. My complaint is that there is no reliable method of sending money to the side n they never reply to any email.

But we still need a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker before we close the transfer shop.

And i would be a very happy man if someone in EC can convince dennis oliech to sign for kogallo for just a season.

    • Kwani how old is Wuod Mary? If he is put through the rigorous Gor Mahia training he can gain shape and lessen the load on our strikers. I support.

What value will Oliech add to K’Ogalo @Jakoyo?.We need young players who will establish themselves just like OLUNGA. Eric Johanna, Dirangu fits the bill.

Thanks Dan for the faith but pessimists who never have faith in the EC , people of unclear agenda who just shout and never help, permanent dwellers in the negative regions, I say they keep pulling everyone down, they don’t have to be pleased. This office has brought this team from far, for those who care to remember, they deserve praise rather than insults.

In case we go past CNAPS we have a very big assignment ahead. Managed to watch a Morocco derby pitting WAc and RCA (Raja Casablanca). The fanatical suppot of the two teams dwarfs ours, The teams seem to be swimming in sponsorship if the labels on their attires is anything to go by. Just like in League 1. The quality is also higher than ours. So we have a real battle in our hands. All the same it’s no the size of the dog but the size of the war in the dog that matters. Morevove the team is also attired in green with their ‘green army’ cheering

Raja is very interested by Olunga. I hope he accept the offer, that’s can be a good challenge for the player.
