Gor Mahia unveil new squad
Gor Mahia have finally named their new squad for the 2011 season. Its a relatively low key list of names compared to the rumours that have been flying around.
The established players signed are Ezekiel Odera from KCB, Moses Odhiambo and Collins Oloo from Mahakama. In addition, Kogalo have signed some promising players from schools and lower division teams. These include Roy Okal and Fred Otieno from Kodero Bara secondary school, Edwin Lavatsa from Upper Hill school and Boban Frederick from Uganda.
Gor Mahia have lost Camerounais striker Baldwin Ngwa who has left to seek greener pastures in Tunisia after 2 seasons at the club. Abdimalik Mohammed is off to Sweden for trials with a second tier side. Peter Opiyo has rejoined his former club, Thika United. Others who have left are Andrew Ongwae and Philip Opiyo. AFC Leopards are rumored to be after Ibrahim Kitawi.
The new signings will feature for the team in the friendly match against the Ghana national team at Nyayo stadium this on Sunday January 30th.

If Kitawi leaves, fans should blame Zico. He apparently does’nt like the fellow. Ever since Zico became coach, Kitawi rarely plays.
Hold on to Kitawi at all cost. Zico do the necessary. U saw the way he played during the Nyanza Tour.

Zico should know everything should be done for the good of the club.If he has issues with Ibra, then it should be solved because Ibra is top quality stuff.

Personally am a big fan of ibrahimovic kitawi, i mean this is talent,we cant afford to lose such a player.Hes Europe material.Just to let you know we have a very big GOR fan base here in DALLAS USA

just a suggestion: you should include profiles of all the players you have signed in this website so we can get to know more about our favorite players and newcomers, upcoming talents e.t.c i just wanted to confirm if the said moses odhiambo is the former captain of kakamega high, is he?
I dont see the need of keeping Kitawi around yet he is hardly used. Let him be released so that he can pursue his career elsewhere. This will also give room to the upcoming players especially the newly recruited. There is definately a reason why he is not in good books with the technical bench.
I HOPE THIS TIME ROUND GOR WILL FIND IT RIGHT AND LIFT THE TROPHY

Letting go of Peter Opiyo and Ibra is/was a BIG mistake.. Gor seriously needs the services of a creative midfielder who can pass, shoot, tackle and change the rythm of play when necessary

Kogallo funs are tunnishing Gor mahia’s image,ma funs please let us behave we should start being ambassodors to our team,there are some funs who just come to the field to cause chaors and not to watch the game,Am appealing to KPL officials to burn bottles into the field and the security at the gate to really do their work,security check should be done thoughrally.Some funs are really misbehaving,Kogallo games are not for funs to show off their bad behavious.Ma funs please behae and hooligans please stay at home.
