Gor Mahia visit Muhoroni Youth

Gor Mahia return to Kisumu City for the second time in two weeks to take on Muhoroni Youth. Gor Mahia, still buoyant after dispatching Nakuru All Stars by a score of 5-0 will be hoping to continue with their brilliant run. Gor Mahia are still unbeaten. And while fans were concerned about the defence earlier in the season, Gor Mahia have pulled up their socks in this department. They have not conceded a goal in seven games.

One play who has been instrumental in helping Gor Mahia keep clean sheets is goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch. And Oluoch is confident but cautious about Gor Mahia’s  chances against Muhoroni Youth.

“Muhoroni has good players; they have also a good coach, who is experienced and tactical. It is going to be a tough match for us. However, looking at K’ogalo right now, we have the momentum and are focused. I feel we have an edge over them. Players want to maintain this run at all costs,” Oluoch told Goal on Thursday.

“We are looking invincible right now, but that is on paper. In the pitch the story might be different. Every team right now wants to be the first to defeat us. So that will make it even harder against us.” said Oluoch to goal.com

What Oluoch says indicates that though Gor Mahia are on a high, they will not be overconfident against Muhoroni Youth.

Though Muhoroni Youth are the hosts, Gor Mahia will be playing in front of their passionate supporters who are expected to throng the newly refurbished Moi stadium. Oluoch says the team will be counting on supporters to show up and cheer the team.

“Our experience and calmness will be tested. However, with our fans, all will be well. They create a good environment for us to play in and at the same time creating tension on the opponents. But I hope we will get the three points on Sunday.”

Indeed Muhoroni will be a tough nut to crack. Though their record has not been stellar this year, they have done well since promoted to the top league. And they will be battling to climb up the league table according to defender Franklin Osama.

“No one expects us to win the game but that will only help us in our preparations,” he said.

“This season we do not have as many points as we would like but I think we have played very well and deserve more than 11 points.

“Gor are a great team and they have been explosive this season. We know what to expect from them and we are sure they will attack us, so we will get our own chances on the counter attack.

“We need to defend well, attack them when we have the opportunity and take our chances as they come and I am sure we will have a chance of beating them,”  he said to supersport.com.

Kickoff is Sunday 15:45 at Moi stadium Kisumu

Referees: Raphael Nduati (centre referee), Steven Adeya, Dorcas Moraa

The mere thought of Jack Bauer (Dani Sserunkuma and Rama Salim) season 3 has set the Den in panic mode. Ogwang’s stomach is biting it and the worms particularly Ascaris Lumbricoides are crying in Ogwang’s stomach on the thought of the impact of Jack Bauer Season 3. Another demolition like what happened today and the Log is on his way out.

Rama claims it’s the EC members who are calling him every other time yet he has not made a decision. How about paying the current players? And can someone shed the light on Walu’s issue.
