Gor Mahia players reached Limbe safely. It was an 80km road trip from Douala. The team has already had their first training session. The match will be played at the 20,000 seat Limbe stadium.

“We’ve not had any problem so far in terms of reception,” stand-in captain Philemon Otieno told Nation Sport on Saturday from their base in Limbe. “The weather is unpredictable here because it’s has been raining since we arrived,” the utility player added.

Togolese referee Kokou Ntale will be at the centre assisted by compatriots Limna Kabassima and Adam Biyao in the 5pm kick-off

Coach Oktay thinks that all things being equal, his side will emerge triumphant.

“In Nigeria, we were frustrated by poor officiating hence losing easily but in Cameroon, we shall win, we shall play the same way we’ve been doing,”  said Oktay to the Nation.

New Star club owner Domkeu Faustin is confident that his side will emerge victorious.

“We are going for a win and nothing short of that. We saw a great team in Nairobi and our output showed that we can unlock them here,” club president and business magnate he said to the CAF website.

  • All the best Gor,
As much as I never supported the re-signing of Muguna, he shud let his talent do the talking. Influencing who plays are forces that come from every corner. Star players like Ronaldo and Messi can decide your fate in their respective clubs. So stop whinning. You have had enough chances. So long as the lineup was not chosen out of tribe, relationship or friendship, you cannot complain. Your impact is questionable… that’s all.

I share the sentiments of @dinga. This guy upped and went the first time round. I hope that he isnt using Gor as a stepping stone once again

Guys let’s try understand the young lad Muguna. That he is talented is not in question. His star shone when he was young and he felt he owed alot to Coach Ze Maria who developed his game and improved his skill set. For that reason he felt sad when his mentor left and therefore when presented with an opportunity to re-unite with him he took it. FK Tirana paid 4 Million for his services so club got something from his transfer. That things didn’t quite work out for him and he came back humbled pleading we take him back shows he learnt his lesson. Wisdom then dictates that like the prodigal son let’s embrace him and encourage him to regain his form. Remember he is the only player who can fill Kahata’s void should renewal talks fail in June and he goes on the Bosman to Simba SC or CS Constantine who opted to wait get him on the cheap after his contract at GM runs out…

From the way you are talking it seems Kahatas fate has been decided already…the powers that be have decided that they will not even attempt to renew Kahatas contract and will let him go for free just like Kagere..,

From the few minutes Muguna has had in the field there has been nothing impressive to show for it. He looks demotivated, demoralized and depressed. That cannot fit in a club of Gor stature with all the pressure. Even though coaches come and go no coach would sign player who is not capable to deliver since that would automatically put their carriers on the line .That’s what the former coach did and has been seen by the current coach Oktay.Muguna has lost his initial quality and should work harder to find it instead of whining like a baby.Otherwise best of luck the mighty Kogalo in Cameroon.

JTGJ my brother, let us hold our horses. Do you remember that Swahili saying that ukiona mwenzako akinyolewa……? Hehehe my brother it won’t be long before we know Mbita na mbichi. My biggest concern is that we are not clinical with set pieces. On a foreign land against unpredictable refereeing efficiency in free kicks (remember Victor Ali Abondo or George Nyangi Odembo) and corner kicks can be the trump card. May God show us his grace.

  • Though our head coaches seem unhappy with these “forced brokers’ deals” only Loga stood his ground & would have none of it, not even from Mugabe. The decline in quality of squad & TB is the result, GM would’ve achieved more by now. ALL THE BEST GM.
