Gor Mahia vs SoNy preview
Kogalo will take on the resurgent Awendo based side at their true home ground on Sunday. It will be a welcome change for local fans who always miss out on watching Kogalo because both Chemelil and SoNy usually switch venues to Nairobi and Nakuru to maximize earnings.
Beating SoNy will be no easy task. The Awendo based side have been on the recovery path since coach Zico took over. They recently beat Thika united in Thika. And Zico who is one of the best local tacticians will be in no mood to do his former club any favors as he himself is fighting the relegation axe that is threatening SoNy.
“We know Gor are the top side in the league at the moment and going by the result they achieved against their arch rivals last weekend, they will be confident of coming here and getting a win but we are very ready for them,” said Zico to the Star.
Gor Mahia coach Bobby Williamson for his part has expressed caution.
“We need to be more solid in defence and have our concentration up throughout the match. Our attack also needs to be sharp because we keep losing so many chances. It is always tricky playing against teams fighting relegation but we will do our best.” He told the Star.
19 points that is what is standing between kogallo and the ultimate trophy……….good luck
May our Almighty God give Kogalo victory in the mighty name of Jesus Christ….let all fans say Amen.
We will return all the glory, honor and praise to the Almighty Lord after giving us victory over Sony Sugar AFC.this
Good luck k’ogalo and alwayz rem da fighting spirit as waz in da mashemeji derby. . . . .keep da fire burning boys!!!
go for it boys!!!!! i had a chance to watch your final training session today at Tok Komwanda b4 departure to Awendo.everyone was in high spirit and looking forward to the match. We have a chance to widen gap esp after Ulinzi faltered today in Nakuru
Go for early goals abd please utilize every available scoring opportunity.do not fall trap to Kasayas usual theatrics.focus well for the match bearing in mind the task ahead is enormous but surmountable.an expectant fan base is equally waiting but di not succumb to the pressure.just focus on the game and kill it early enough.Good luck in Awendo!!!!!!
Best of luck to the boys. Fate seems to be smiling your way. Play all the remaining games like a final
Wish the boys a fantastic outing. Am confident they will return with the 3 points. Go K’ogalo GO!
Gor has a very difficult schedule remaining. Like I correctly predicted that they were going to loose to the Egyptians in the CAF tournament, Im again predicting that they will loose points in each of their remaing games through either a draw or outright loss.
Its quite refreshing to watch GM heaping misery upon misery on the chasing pack. Our direct competitors have to hope on us dropping points, whereas We are the directors of our own fate. We just have watch against complacency and approach each match as if our whole season depends on it. It has just downed on Ulinzi that points in the bag is different from the match at Hand. They have lost 3 priceless point to one of the so called “WEAKER” teams – Mathare United. We cannot therefore lower our guards as to think that some teams are weak. We shall approach @ of the remaining 9 matches with equal and Right attitude, commitment, passion, spirit, determination and focus so as not to fall Victims of over confidence. Our Math is so simple, win 7 of the remaining 9 matches or win 6 and Draw 3 and we shall be declared the KPL 2013 CHAMPIONS. In other words we have a buffer of 6 points between us And the nearest challenger.
All the best K’galo, i concur with Jemoh early goals like 2 in the first 25 minutes should do the trick.
Good treat 4 Awendoians.
The “Green Army” is fully behind GM despite the grumblings of the “Mboyz in Blue” (Blue Police) and chunga sana @ Ingo this ua AFC is just like a beautiful blonde/girl with no brains, beautiful to look at but useless/wasteful like letting a 2 goal lead slip away.
Gor Biro Gor Biro Sony Yawne Yo!
GOOD LUCK KOGALO! @ ingo you will eat your own words today when you meet Tusker.
@Jemoh if u watched final training on 31st then I hope the team @ least flew 2 Ksm. EC??
2ndly I appeal 2 the police 2 b on alert on the highways 4 fans mayb travelling late. I wish the team & fans “bon voyage”.
3rdly 4 some of us fans (& they r many) who 4 one reason or another miss away games would not mind contributing 2 a”Gor away kitty” by Mpesa but TRANSPARENCY,ACCOUNTABILITY R PARAMOUNT.
SUCH CONTRIBUTION MUST,& I REPEAT MUST B CREDITED 2 THE MEMBER. STRUCTURED MEMBERSHIP IS ONLY WAY 4WARD
The team travelled by bus. Sighted them at a petrol station along Waiyaki way around 1100hrs yesterday ,31st.
@Oduor12.i was also surprised to find them train in the morning.but from the bags already packed on top of the club bus,i suppose they must have gone by road.lets hope for the best.Awendo has been a difficult hunting ground for virtually all the big teams namely Tusker,AFC,Ulinzi,Sofapaka.however i strongly believe this is the season for KOGALO to break the jinx and run away with all the 3points.Goodluck boys!!!!!
Go for 3points boys and move to the next level
we r trailing in Awendo.boys, this is the time to rise to the ocassion.DO NOT lift your feet off the gas peddle.Plot for a comeback and win this me.we are fully behind you!!!!
May the best team win! but i pray that Gor collect the three points to at lest have some hope of wining this years’ league.
it was always going to be a tough match in Awendo!!!however, bloggers where does Kasaya get the guts to slap Jerry our Jagoal, when Calabar slammed in the second equalizer?this fellow is so indisciplined.no wonder he couldnt survive in GSU-playing for the then Red Berets.anyway,we need to pull our socks and start focussing on our next match-against Tusker.
