Jacque Tuyisenge: Man of the moment

Rwandese striker Jacque Tuyisenge is living up to his billing and his Ksh 4 million price tag. He has scored a number of crucial goals already this year. On Saturday, he came to the rescue again scoring in the 86th minute just when it seemed as if the game was destined for a scoreless draw.

“Tuyisenge is very important to us. We need him the same way he needs the team. The three points are important to us and we now have to win the next game,” Gor coach Ze Maria said after the match.

As usual Gor Mahia dominated possession but could not convert the possessions to goals as SoNY Sugar parked the bus.

“We dominated the match, but I believe we can play much better than this. But the important thing is that we got the three points,” said Marcelo.

Fans were unhappy with the removal of Walusimbi for Kahata. But it was Kahata who provided the all important pass that led to the goal. Blackberry will be credited with the assist but Kahata’s defense splitting pass is what led to the goal.

“I have 24 players and I have to use all of them. I respect the fans, but they have to know I am the coach and I know my players better than they do. I have to organise the team.” said Ze Maria

Wuod maria come slowly. Hapa gor ni ushindi tu. Bila hiyo hata hiyo samba ball hatutatambua.

@okewkanango, l believe you are representing your views and not those of fans in general.
PERSONALLY, I am happy that there is some squad rotation. Bernard has not played for a long time and he proved himself up to the task. Now we need to see more of Saleh, Wafula and Luke. The thing of some players not being challenged for positions has been our main undoing

Coach we want Kenya football not brazillian football, brazillian football is suited for brazilian players. If you tell us to play brazillian football you are insinuating that Kenyan football is inferior which is dead wrong. What I paid to watch against Sony Sugar was shambolic and disjointed performance hitherto never seen at the club i.e in the last 25 years I have been with the club.

The goal was a fluke and I think if Sony Sugar was focussed on winning the game, they could easily have done so. The goal department is downright dead, 1 goal in 3 games is nothing to write about. Had it not been for Jausenge, I think we would be fighting relegation.

Infact, in the next game lets rotate everyone else apart from JaUsenge. I have a feeling senior players have become so complacement after winning it all last year that the hunger for a win is as good as dead.

Secondly, our players need to be exposed to high level competitive matches if we are to progress in Africa. With a sponsor on board, its time we start thinking of off season camping in other countries as part of this proposal.

Being as fit as you are and being a former international player, am sure you understand how football is and should be played therefore we shall give you all the time to explore those options but make sure we retain the trophy in 2016.

I trust you will get at most 2 or 3 key players in June to reinforce the team.

      • @Charles what Gor displayed on Sato was terrible. When will we start seeing this world class football? After relegation. In fact Jakoyo has stated the fact that had it not been for Jausenge tungekuwa mbali.

@jakoyo baridi, what do you want? You are the same man that condemned Frank Nuttal and supported Ze Maria. What a turncoat? Please learn to appreciate what the coach is doing and the bottom line is winning the KPL.

I was against the way Frank Nuttal was sabotaged by the office and players booted out but I have moved on to support the team.

    • @Jakorando,you always ask pple whether they know English. It seems you have a problem with my sentences too. It doesn’t matter but one thing you need to know is that there are bloggers here who write excellent grammar. I am not one of them. But you are not close to them either. So relax. I will continue posting my comments here.

I have watched most of our matches this season and truth be told, we are far from being the all conquering team of last year. I think we do not have the right players in some crucial departments, simple. I hope the coach will be given the chance to be in charge of adding more fire power to the squad. Because I dont believe this story of players not having understood the principles of Ze Maria or not having gelled well. We are in match number 10 and these are supposed to be professionals, guys should either shape up or ship out. One more thing, Ze Maria should be in total control of team selection otherwise it will not work out well for him.

  • It’s sad that hooligans have been denied “ACTIVITIES” on the stadium and are now seeking refuge here.Threatening the coach, players and conservative fans.others shamelessly telling the coach on which players to field and even mention players by names.that’s primitive or extremism.Let everyone do his job,coz that’s how they will be judged.players, coaches,EC,fans all will be judged on their roles.no need for finger pointing. The coach does not need advise from a fan.they hav different roles.some comments here sounds like raw hooliganism.

The rotation of players is nothing new. It is a way of exposing some of the players who may not be regular. In the past we have had players blaming of playing time as the reason for leaving the club. Throwing them into the deep end helps to address this. Some of the players have been struggling and when they are not fielded, other people start saying that they should have played. In relation to Jausenge, he is part of the team and what some players can not do, he does. but it is not by himself it is teamwork. It is true, that when not playing, the possibility of getting a goal is slimmer if not not zero. But is does not mean there are 10 players, they are always eleven. So these other players are given the opportunity to showcase what they are made of. It is only fare to say that each one of them will right their honest recommendation. As to the language use here, my take is that it brings out to the surface the emotional support involvement on the team. My take is we can share our thoughts and drive our points home very constructively, because some one is always watching what do and say when we suppose that we are away from them. God bless us all the K’Ogalo family

even in brasil, there is normally national team selected by the coach and THE national Team selected by the FANS

This discussion is very healthy and Ze Maria will understand it

Jakoyo whether you want Kenyan Brazilian or village football when you slept on 31st Dec 2015 very very important strikers had not renewed their contract and no attempt was made to get better replacement. If you sleep again Ngala amesema in June only Timothy and other local village footballers will be recruited;no foreigners.

  • Gor mahia dominates possession;Tick. They don’t makeb goal attempts, Our one striker is man marked. We only need quality signings in June especially at the front to ease things.Even if we resort to the long balls of last year;keen observers would not that Agwanda Hana mbio na Jausenge can run but he should be at the box to head in.My solution; Add Ernest Sugira and Kagere and you will see Gor Mahia Mayienga

    • @Moses, who is Sugira?I have seen his name here severally but have nevet watched him or know where he ply his trade.
I rate Benard Mangoli of Bandari and wish the coach can have a look at him. He is strong and fast and may help our slow midfield. my wish bloggers, let no one crusify me for that.

  • Naturally, it is rather demoralizing to sign players then starve them of playtime. Certain players have proved beyond doubt that they have nothing to offer Gor save for shaggy hair and irresponsible mediocrity on the pitch.
Whether short Catalan tiki taka or Shakava’s ‘yuora nena’, we hungrily need the KPL trophy into our cabinet when this season ends.
Some excuses are boiling to be tabled when the season ends so as to address the unpardonable guilt of letting the league trophy slip into into Mathare United’s hands.
Scapegoats like “poor signings, injuries to key players, referee bias, partial commitment by foreign players…” Hmmm! Let us wait and see.
If short boring passes will win us the league, amen.
It is matchday 10 and someone is still talking of the word ‘gelling’. Someone is yet to score a goal despite being labelled a ‘striker’, having only succeeded in dyeing some shaggy hair. Am so bitter about the ant-size progress of my club but i’ll soon collapse if we move from Egypt to Sodom!

  • With all due respect to squad rotation and gelling buffs. Swali moja ,daily training ni ya nini? My take is that you can only rotate players of similar qualities/effects i.e when changing tatics according to the opponents you are facing. Legendary coaches Len Julians/ J Johnson had a pool of talented players who made immediate impact whenever given a chance to play e.g Peter ” Pierre” Ochieng who ably fitted into Orieko’s big shoes, whenever called upon not to forget Jaffer Mwidau’s fitting in for Makamu or Janabi’s ” Destroyer” role etc. Bottom line, it all starts with quality unbaised recruitment ,not by the EC, but by a quality coach then results will flow. In the league matches let’s see wins i.e positive effects of weekly training be samba football/rotation otherwise the only excuse Ze Maria can clatch onto now is ” IT WASN’T ME WHO RECRUITED THESE PLAYERS” SO LET’S GIVE MPAKA JUNE TRANSFER
