Kagere-Tuyisenge partnership will send shivers

Meddie Kagere and Jacque Tuyisenge have previously played together for Police FC of Rwanda. This happened when Gor Mahia first tried to sign Kagere in 2011. By last weekend, Kagere had not received a work permit. Which is why he did not suit up for the match against Thika United. With the work permit issue sorted out, the duo are set to resume their partnership which has the potential to have a devastating effect on opposing KPL defences.

“I know Meddie for long because when I was starting off we played together at Police. He is an experienced striker and I believe if the coach decides to play both of us, we can do great things,” said Tuyisenge to Capital FM.

Kagere for his part says he feels at home and is ready to resume the fine form he displayed in 2015.

“I am very happy to be back because Gor is like home to me and the fans, players and officials have welcomed me. I am feeling ready to get back to the pitch and do what I do best, scoring goals. I know it will be difficult because I have stayed for six months without competitive football,” Kagere told Capital Sport on Thursday afternoon after scoring and providing an assist as Gor demolished fourth tier side Butterfly FC 4-0 in a friendly match.

If coach Ze Maria had any doubts about Kagere’s abilities, sure he must be convinced by now having watched Kagere play in two friendlies and in training.

“I have played in two friendly matches and I feel I am ready and if given a chance, I will do my talking on the pitch. I want to do better than I did last year and repay the faith Gor has shown to bring me back” continued Kagere.

The other goals against Butterfly were scored by Thiago Silva who scored twice and Baron Jobita. Ze Maria now admits that Kagere is already ahead of the curve compared to his Brazilian compatriot.

“We saw that Meddie had been here before and knows the league well and therefore, it would take him less time to adapt. Thiago is still here with us, training and daily he is getting better. Hopefully, next season he will start playing in the league,” coach said to Capital Sport.

Ze Maria went on to confirm that fans could see the eagerly awaited Tuyisenge-Kagere partnership this weekend.

Kagere is a good player and of course with the history he has in this team, he can do well. Jack (Tuyisenge) is in good form and if the two can have a good partnership, then I think we will do well. I believe he will be in the team this weekend and so let’s see what he has to offer for us,” the coach nicknamed ‘Ze Maria’ said.

As for Crispin Odula, he is still sorting out the issue of his international transfer certificate.

“I had family problems which forced me to come back home then my contract ended. By the time we were getting back to negotiations the window was closed and so I chose to come back home. Gor gave me a platform and hopefully I can work hard enough to get playing time,” Odula said to Capital FM.

  • What a coach. If you ask me Ze Maria is only second to Lens when it comes to the best coaches that have ever worked with us. I hope he stays for one more season or two.

    Kagere welcome back

@ja Thur Gi ji…….In reality it all depends on performances on the pitch and relations with the powers that be.If its all working, then why not?even more than 10 years…establishing a Ferguson=Man utd kind of era!!

  • Marcelo at the left wing, Kagere and Tuyisenge in central attack then Walusimbi in right wing. That completes the forward four.
Kahata, Blackberry and Nondi in the midfield will work wonders.
Musa Mohammed, Nizigiyimana and Siboumana should complete the back three.
I hope Oluoch will start regularly since we are chasing the league at this time.

After all if you shine in training then most likely you’ll perform during the competitive matches. And you know bloggers have a sharp memory, come Jan17 they will remind us of this day! On this one I commend EC and wuod Maria for seeing far. This guy will surely be a very big hit come next season. Ja’Asego wherever you are you really need to explain what happened on the way to the airport. Did Olima accidentally drop out of some pocket? Did become a stow-away on the same vehicle that dispatched him to the airport?

  • I take this opportunity to leave my well deserved sabbatical from this Blog site to once and for all put in perspective allegations levelled against my person severally. As i have copy-pasted my post on Thiago Lima Da Silva above, you can see i clearly foretold of his impending departure as the one who booked his ticket which was by Turkish Airlines to Sao Paulo Brazil via Istanbul Turkey for the 22nd June 2016 at 22.35 Hrs UTC + 3 or EAT as you refer to time on this Longitudinal axis. I never alluded at all to dropping Thiago to the airport at any given time. Stop confusing me having picked Meddie Kagere from the airport a few days prior to this as to mean i said i dropped Thiago Silva to the airport and hence repeatedly attack my character in a fashion and manner very pre-judicial to my profession and integrity. Ngala knows best why Thiago didn’t board that flight and is best placed to explain to you why. My sign off statement clearly read am always listening and from what i have been reading you guys are getting totally frustrated by the lack of clear info from the EC. I said above i left official updates to Ngala who most of you including Oduor12 et al praised to be mighty in the pecking order & Rachier’s right-hand man,all of which i don’t object. Now be as it may,the same Ngala said Kagere had been training with Kogalo at camp toyoyo since January which is a complete fallacy that i disputed as his first time to land in Kenya was soon after modalities were agreed upon so i wonder does the incorrect Ngala info make him a blogger, hearsayer, wannabe and non EC member? He went ahead to say again just this week on Tuesday that Walusimbi was expected back on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest which has not occurred either as walusimbi is still in Uganda and am in close contact with him daily and planning to book him a ticket for Monday (If given the green-light)since a tussle on his re-fund ticket is what has kept him away,so i wonder does this incorrect info make Ngala not be a member of the EC and a Waiganjo? And does my insider clarification on walusimbi which you would not have known no matter what- had i not divulged and which even if you check whichever website in the world cannot appear render me a wannabe?I take great offence at the jarbs that have been directed at me while it is i Ja’sego who together with James Siang’a engineered the Re-Birth of this same Gor which had gone to doldrums by scouting young talents who were to lay the groundwork for our current success such as Blackberry,Lavatsa,Musa Mohammed,David ‘calabar’ Owino,Akumu Anthony Agay,Kevin ‘ade’ Omondi,Rama Salim et al.It is still i Ja’Asego who through my KNVB contacts recommended & brought you Logarusic who took us to a teardrop away from the 2012 title. It is still i Ja’Asego who advised Frank Nuttal to parade a 3-5-2 system against Yanga in Cecafa last year since we needed to win and believe, which we did and went all the way to an inch of the regional Gong.I Ja’Asego who during 2014 Cecafa in Kigali single-handedly scouted Karim Nizigiyimana & Abouba Sibomana who have revolutionalised our attacking formations and brought us success.Still i Ja’sego who brought you Baba Kizito and Walusimbi and most recently nearly brought you Laudit mavugo & Pierot Kwizera so that we become a dominant force in African football. Is this how you appreciate my contributions to GM brothers??

Omera Ja’Asego just “take hoes”. You understand Gor Mahia culture more than anyone else. Don’t take these issues to heart. My joy is that you have come out and clarified what was not adding up. I pray that you extend your stay around now that have cut short your retirement from this site.

It is true that lack of information regarding Odula, Walusimbi etc is frustrating fans in this site and beyond. I know you are aware that the other day Ja Thur Gi Ji called out “Ja’ Asegoooooooooooo!”. Take hoes my brother. You understand these fans better than anyone else. Ja’Asego bwana, not so long ago, Frank Ouna was on record in Gor Mahia TV as taking credit for having scouted Nizigiyimana and Abouba during the CECAFA in Kigali in 2014. Pardon my being so inquisitive, but……is Ja’Asego Frank Ouna, then? But then Frank Ouna is no longer in Gor Mahia so once again I am left confused. Omera sleep with hoes. We exchange notes tomorrow.

      • BB i have no qualms, forget those Frank Ouna praises that he brought Karim & Sibomana… Yes he was with Ja’sego mwenyewe as by that time he was GM Team Manager and therefore present during my negotiations with the Rayon Sports President Messr Theogene Ntampaka who was subsequently replaced by one Messr Denis Gacinya. So that he went ahead to claim credit on Gor TV is not strange but i have told you that all foreigners worth note and who have had an impact in bringing Kogalo to its current state are/were all express Ja’Asego facilitated acquisitions…

  • I have broken my silence based on an emerging trend that i noticed spearheaded by Oduor12, someone Jarae (Omondi), lately Fred Odhiambo and BB. I left for peace to prevail in GM, take what you believe i said in good faith and were true and leave what you think i cooked up, which is none to my recollection. KIndly take on the new era of Ja’sego-less posting and enjoy life, i was never here on anyone’s behest and didn’t sign a contract to stay until any specific time. What most of you may want is my real identity but that will never happen so get used to that fact and let me concentrate on my EC Duties in the ‘Waiganjo’ fashion or o’wise. Coach Ze Maria would hear none about Thiago leaving Kenya and was ready to stay with him (which he currently does together with the assistant coach) and furthermore Thiago who signed a contract immediately upon landing continues earning a salary and hopefully will be Kogalo’s top scorer & golden boot winner in the Friendly Matches category if Sjak decides to intoduce that award later on in the year. I do not be-grudge Da Silva, i don’t know him and neither was i concerned with his acquisition but just booked his ticket after a meeting in which it was agreed he goes back only for plans to change as they always do at GM, so don’t attack my person on a personal level please…

You miss understood me but its a fact that Jakom runs (not finances) Gor Mahia single handedly with his trusted side kicks Ngala and Kilo. So when Ngala speaks its usually the final word e.g on Luanda’s signing which for once worked for me personally. • Dawaplus the post you are referring to is dated 22nd June 2016 under the trending Topic ‘Da Silva Is Gone’ in which i commented my final words and said that i had booked his ticket. I myself have twice copy-pasted the same comments but it says ‘my comments are awaiting moderation’ since yesterday so if you can kindly copy-paste it yourself and put it here no problem, have a look at it it’s there, but name-calling and insinuations is not proper, maybe some purport i joined this site to brag about my position in GM which is contrary since i have my career that i pursue for my livelihood and the post at GM is for the love of the game and keen interest in matters football developed during my study days and subsequent soccer training abroad.I am simply giving back to the team we all love and cherish hence why i chose to go mum than create tension that can adversely affect GM. Da Silva is a good lad, very amiable and friendly, easy to like by any standards and coach believes in his abilities,i don’t doubt or oppose coach’s choice even for a minute but just don’t appreciate the tag Waiganjo.I mean unless i reveal my true-identity and risk losing my position then all we can do is relate in a friendly manner with a wait & see the actual occurrence of anything a bonafide GM official says in relation to my side of clarification then you can simply know if i deserve merit or not. I rest my case

Okewkanango ati Takataka Branch?……….Hehehe! Anyway you are right. This is our home match and apart from the shillings they are denying the team by watching from that mountain of garbage, they should realize that their presence in the stadium can strengthen the impact of the 12th player.

@Ja Thur Gi Ji today is a Sunday and there is no better day for confession, repentance and apology:
For stating that God will provide for Olima’s needs: I confess, repent and apologize.
For stating that Olima has scored 3 goals: I confess, repent and apologize to those I have embarrassed. For stating that Olima promised to score 15 goals for K’Ogalo: I confess, repent and apologize. For stating that Olima’s skin is fair-coloured or “brown” (dibuoro): I confess, repent and apologize. For stating that the plan to have him as another key striker was abandoned (wuod Ajwang’) upon Meddie’s arrival: I confess, repent and apologize to those I have embarrassed and to you too, great man.

Ja’Asego, you can see that your return has raised the optimism among bloggers. Stay put this time round no matter what. However, a wise man gives ear to counsel. Take this my brother, wuod gi Isabella (remember D.O. Misiani’s hit song?): Weche manyien ma yawo wang’ to miwa amiya, lakini akwayi ni being ni itiyo ni K’Ogalo e EC, yie mondo kik iluong nyinge jogo ma ukonyoregodo ng’ado riekni mag tayo K’Ogalo e posts magi. They are defenceless in this site. Let it not appear like you want them to look bad in the eyes of fans. I am pretty sure that is not your mission, but people have tendencies to misinterpret and unfortunately we can never influence or give direction to people’s thoughts and imaginations.

Ja’ Asego I know you are with the team in Kisumu today. Just remind the boys to forget about the crowd and focus on the game. I watched them against Thika and I believe I noticed some tendency by the two young lads of trying to catch the fans’ eye. What we need is 100% concentration for 100 minutes and we shall be home and dry.

This second leg is tough and some teams will use very uncouth methods to secure wins. I wish the Thika coach can tell me that I have misquoted him, but if I heard him right in the PRE-MATCH interview yesterday, he said that he was “100% sure that AFC was going to win”. How about that from a coach whose team was the one playing against the same Efusi in that match?

Nowhere do you claim to have dropped him at the airport. I was wrong to insinuate that and i apologize to you my brother. Rest assured that am not under any mission but just “mistakenly” used your airticket/Thiago e.g to guard against future barbs come Jan17.Its undeniable that Thiago is so far doing pretty well in terms of scoring in training so Ze Maria is most likely right. Finally Jasego post your opinions and as usual clarify WHENEVER & HOWEVER challenged.Am very much aware that Ngala’s but Jakom’s spin doctor and probably his right handman in the EC.
