Kenneth Muguna named team captain
Midfielder Kenneth Muguna is now officially the new team captain. This follows the departure of Harun Shakava to Nkana FC.
Muguna first joined Kogalo in 2015 and excelled under coach Frank Nuttall then Ze Maria. He and Musa Mohamed left to join FK Tirana in 2017. Muguna returned last season.
“I am happy to be named the captain of one of the most successful teams in East Africa and I am hoping we will work together as players and management to win more titles this season. I am aware of the huge responsibility that comes with captaining a club of Gor’s stature but I am banking on my experience in top flight football as well as the support of everyone at the club to ensure we succeed as a team.” Muguna told Nation Sport.
Muguna follows in the illustrious footsteps of club legends like Austin Oduor, Peter Otieno “Bassanga”, Paul Ochieng, Sammy Omollo “Pamzo”, Allan Thigo, Julius Owino and others.
Defender Joash Onyango has been nominated as the Vice Captain. Gor Mahia will travel to Burundi on Saturday.
perfect choice
A very good choice the young and the old put together the team will go far one softy but firm the other combative and ruthless but reasonable. Want to wish Berry all the best in his new club but also to advice him to change his and tame his tempers and be ready to accept correction a good player in all.
Great choice.
A perfect opportunity to grow up and show maturity by offering quality leadership to colleagues. Will blackberry accept to be benched by Matano who is a no nonsense gaffer?I doubt.
The last time Berry played for Gor he was an embarrassment the way he played an the sportsmanship behaviour I would say good ridence.
Good choice and opportunity for growth. Why is the team travelling tomorrow? I hope not replay of the RS Berkane-like issues
GLORY to GOD and congratulations Kenneth Muguna.
GOD’S PRESENCE ENGULF you and propel you and the club under your Captaincy to greater heights never scaled before.
To the GLORY of GOD
Thank you EC for making a wise choice in handing the arm band to Kenneth Muguna
Proud of you Junior!
