Khalid Aucho set for Glasgow Rangers Trials

Various reports mostly emanating from Khalid Aucho himself have indicated that the player is set to attend trials at newly promoted Scottish side Glasgow Rangers.
” Glasgow Rangers have approached me, they are interested in my services and as a matter of fact I want to join them. Everything is on the initial stage, but I hope it goes through because it is every footballer’s dream to achieve such a feat.” says Aucho

Rangers have won the Scottish premier league numerous times. For years they dominated the Scottish league along with Glasgow Celtic. They were relegated to the lowest divisions due to financial issues.
Their coach Mark Warburton is likely to have developed an interest in Aucho due to a recommendation from Frank Nuttall.

Aucho joined Gor Mahia in 2015 from Tusker FC as a the replacement for Geoffrey Kizito, another former Gor Mahia player who  is now at Finnish side HJK Helsinki.

Aucho has been pivotal in Gor Mahia’s success so far with his ability to win midfield battles and with his precise passes.

  • We wish Khalid all the best in Rangers as you have always made us happy and won KPL unbeaten in 2015.

I like this and wish him best of luck but are we going to get anything in case it happens?

  • Ja Thur Gi Ji…The idea is we activate his release clause as stipulated in the contract and sell him to Rangers then the money we get obviously sign another quality holding midfielder with box to box capabilities and this time if I get my pick then one who has superb scoring qualities too,he averages 10 goals per season but can’t name him for pre-emptive purposes plus the usual preferences at play. But he would fill Aucho’s role perfectly and add an extra touch.Hint I can give he is Burundian and the central cog of their national team

This move is quite in order. I wish Passenger 27 could accompany him.

    • @Barefoot, do you that the player you are referring can be transformed by the coach to become a great star. May be the player got a shock and this lowered his level of confidence in the pitch.

this idea of players going for trials i dont like. if a player is gud then i think the two clubs shud just engage in talks and then if they reach an agreement then the player shud sign with the interested club. assuming that he goes 4 trials & then they say that he’s not what they’r looking 4 when we’ve already signed his replacement who cud be a foreigner then what. i believe that he’s gud & i dont think he shud go 4 trials if those pple r serius that they need him. all the best if u decide 2 go 4 trials

  • As K’Ogalo family we always want the best for our players where ever they go. How they leave attracts a lot of good will and in this case so far we are wishing him the best. Aucho’s commitment to the team has been commendable. On the other hand K’Ogalo is raising its status on the international scenes. If players from the team can be braking into the European ranks I think the club will always be on the International radar. For players, K’Ogalo would be deemed as the team to play for thereby exposing us to good players. If well planned and managed, it could be a point of income. For Khalid, we are waiting for the confirmation and as you know, we love you and appreciate your input to the team.
