Kogalo held by Congo United
Gor Mahia stumbled yet again. This time they were held by bottom club Congo United. Cheered on by a large contingent of traveling supporters, it was Kogalo who opened the scoring via Ezekiel Odera. Once again it was Edwin Lavatsa who provided the assist. But the hard fighting Congo boys were back on level terms only 2 minutes later.
Kogalo fans were shell shocked when Congo took the lead on the stroke of halftime. In the second half , Kogalo sent in wave after wave of attacks. But Congo defended their goal doggedly. The breakthrough finally came on 85 minutes via Duncan Makori.
Fans were up in arms after the game with many calling for the dissmissal of coach Zico. It was the second excellent result for the Coastals after their victory over AFC Leopards last week. The match was played at Mbaraki sports club following the closure of Mombasa municipal stadium for repairs.
well! well! well! now we nearly loose to a bottom side, Chairman RACHIER AMBROSE can u organize a stakeholders meeting and all the fans we need to find out why we are rolling in the thick mud of mediocrity. We are not going to settle for anything less than the premier league trophy. I wasted funds going to mombasa to watch a draw, kwani what is going on? eeeh am tired!
It is time that what we have saying about Zico has come to haunt him and I beg him to resign hounarably than waiting for Kogalo fans to eject him from the technical bench together with team manager Ole tunda. Gor fans have spoken in the past but Zico has failed to listen to fans’ concern on performance and poor fielding. We need Colo and Kitawi in the midfield.
DEAR GORMAHIANS,
Time has come for us to face the truth. Although it might be bitter we cannot run away from it.This is because it will still haunt us. As much as we are the most passionate fans in the world, We must admit that we are the most ungrateful lot that ever existed ever since Jesus healed the 10 leapers somewhere in Jerusalem. Its too painful to hear a section of our sect members shout ‘Zico must go!!!’ yet he is the same Zico who took us this far. It is the same Zico who pushed us to 2nd place finish last season. It is the same zico who made us scramble our way back to the stadium.
A good example is when Manchester United’s unbeaten run came came to a screeching halt in the hands of a relegation threatened team called wolves. Just imagine, of all other clubs, Wolves broke Manchester United’s unbeaten virginity! But was Alex Ferguson sacked? no!! did you ever hear any fanatic yapping, ALEX MUST GO!! NO! WHY? Because they had faith in him.So where is our faith. Yesterday Arsenal beat Man U at a time the latter needed maximum points. but is Alex Ferguson sacked? NO. why? because the fans have faith in him.
Lets face facts here, where were we last season at a time like this? Did we ever think that we would Finnish as runners up? but Zico, the same man we are betraying made it possible for us. he restored our faith. he made us proud to be Kogaloans.
But is this how we pay him back? zico needs our support more than ever. He needs us badly.
He was our savior but some us the Judases among us are plotting to crucify him. And if the plan succeed, surely we will crucify him but like Jesus, he will raise again but not in city stadium. He will raise somewhere where he will prove to us that he is a true coach and come back to haunt us.It is too early to judge him. As much as we would want to win all our matches, we should know that in football, there are only three results, that is, draw- win-loose. But we drew!! What if we lost? Cant we be grateful? We played good football. Cant we see a future promise in this young team? Do we have any other team in the premiership that entertains other than kogalo? We are in the 5th position, does it mean that all is lost? We keep yapping about Collins Okoth and Ibrahim Kitawi, what if they are fielded and nothing changes, will we call for Ngala to be fielded? or Zico? or chairman Ambrose Rachier?
Please my brethren in the kogalo family, lets sober up. we must change our perception about coaches. And if we continue with this attitude, we will never achieve much. And even if we hire Mourinho , Wenger or even Cappello, the impatient lot that we are will never achieve much.
yours gormahially,
Mejjah Ombitho
Western Stima, Tusker, Sofacat, Thika United, KCB all dropped points. The league is tough. Take heart guys. Its not lost yet. I can assure you, sacking the technical bench will not change anything, instead it will only disorient the team at this stage. Lets be patient and evaluate our perfomance during the mid season break. 6 matches to go. Pole Pole jameni.
we are 8 points from the leaders Tusker! @Kosero tell me how we will claim these points coz this is not funny anymore we nearly lost to congo whatever!
How? Man U were 12 points clear a few months ago. Its been narrowed to just 3 point after losing to Arsenal yesterday. How did it happen? I am sure you know. So dont worry, be happy. League baaaaaddoooooo!!!
Teams will start feeling the pressure of being on top and thats how they will start dropping points. If you can recall, last year Tusker were favourite in the early stages of the league. Same were KCB and Western Stima. These teams will burn out when it matters most. Guys lets not panic, lets have faith in the team. We can do it.
Hainifurahisi, hainipendesi hata kidogo.ZICO,the day you’ll stop fielding Opondo?,mambo itawork for you.if i were the coach,i would loan him to a division six team.i wonder what qualities he possesses to make him a Kogalo player.Where is my darling Owiti,Kiplagat,Kitawi,Jakambare and Kagunzi? Jerry amekuwa fake since kitambo? It now pains me to go to the stadium
zico, zico, zico, when will these man ever listen to us funs?we might not be players but thing are not well atall
I agree with Abert Kosero of kampala branch. Its all about being patient and having faith in the team and the technical bench. League bado mbichi.
wandollar@ymail.com
A coach is as good as de players he has signed. Am so disappointed with the draw with Congo.Gor will go nowhere with de calibre of players n de coaching mentality we have. Zico had the chance to sign quality players b4 de start of de season n what did he do signed nondescript players. For us 2 challenge 4 de league we must look at the wingbacks, the midfield n de striking force again coz we lack depth to draw players from, its our support that is driving the players but. Our wingbacks cant play the modern game where it requires u 2 have de agility 2 attack n defend from the flanks. In the midfield Gatusso stands out, Akumu is good but de lad needs guidance from a good coach, de same 4 Lavastsa who shld learn 2 conserve energy n use his speed to score goals. Kevo is good but he shld be used on the flanks. We must break the bank n sign quality players during de transfer window coz when the key players r not playing we r always struggling. Why depend on 2 or 3 players it is suicidal. For a long time Jerry has been lucky coz of the good defence but if i were coach i would toss him. Guys the problem lies with the calibre of players we have currently hata mukileta coach mwingine with these pool of players we will stumble still coz the team lacks depth no wonder we keep crying wapi Kitawi, Gatusso, Kiplangat, Makori. The office has a weakness too, we dont get to hear from them what is the status of the team in terms of fitness, maybe they want Zedi to take the heat while they continue to enjoy the fruits of being in office. Look at the clubs in Europe we read on their website, so and so either has an injury, is fighting fitness blah blah blah so that by the time the squad is named no one is surprised. Who is in charge of communication in Gor Mahia? Zedi might end up suffering because of lack of cummunication between the fans and the team coz no one knows what is going on we just get to hear from other websites or from the so called “youth” of the ongoings. Officials should run Gor like a proffesional outfit, communicate please coz where there is darkness the evil one prowls please lets not give darkness a foothold.
WAXME, I hope they have heard you. the problem with kogalo, is hidden. and as much as the office keeps silent, fans will always have a reason to complain. Its not about the coach, it is all about the main office. They have to keep us updated.
Aooowiii, 2day am feeling very bad, some fans stick with Arsenal because although they lose kwa uwanja watawatembeza, Man U are effective, With Zico K’galo does not play attractive football and is not effective. Zico’s modus operandi is to win the title by other teams loosing- We don’t play attractive football and we don’t win. Sofapmeow, Tusker, KCB draw but against teams in the top half. We’ve lost and drawn against the bottom 2 teams in the league. We could only be winning against the top teams due to over confidence on their part “si hawa wilichapuwa na city stars” We fans want to go the matches with confidence that we are winning not with butterflies in the stomach ati leo itakuwaja.
Mejjah i agree with you, the problem is commuication, i can remember in the early 90’s i would go watch Gor train at the city stadium and was always updated on the on-goings in the club but things have changed and am busy only coming to hear of things during the game. You can imagine when we playing badly and the news from the stands is also bad how agitated people become it becomes a place of rumour mills, no wonder people show their frustrations either during the game or after the game. I want to tell the office and this is true for any organisation and Mr Rachier knows this (with all due respect) when you dont communicate to your employees the direction you want the company go then you are inviting trouble. To me the management of Gor mahia is courting trouble and please why go that extra mile to get a sponsor if you cant do a simple thing as putting a forum where we can engage with the communication manager who should answer all our queries. I think its not civil for us to be shouting at the coach yet we dont have the full info about the fitness status of our players. Lavatsa was allowed to play yet he was unwell did the team doctor suction him to play and if he did i’am questioning his competence. Guys what am saying is the managment is abdicating its responsibility and running this club like team ya mtaa. We got the money chief lets run the club professionally, engage a competent Head of marketing and media, Head finance and accounts, Team manager, Team doctor, General secretary among other to run the secretariate on performance contract terms and please advertise the positions, dont get your relatives and friends we must be seen to be professional in words and deeds. Those are my deepest thoughts.
Gyz lets focus on Ulinzi match Wednesday.Zico aweke squad strong.Western Stima, Tusker, Sofacat, Thika United, KCB all dropped points!
Ma fan patient pays.No coach or player can do well under pressure.
@MEJJAH OMBITHO how I wish all ma fans putting pressure on the coach would read you comment addressed to Gormahians. Very positive comments indeed. Guys are crazy about Kitawi and Gattuso. Kitawi is being judged by his last years form. Let him pick up the form and he will definately be in the squad. Gattuso is indiscipline. No room for such players in modern football which is very serious business.
@mejjah and kosero, zico will take Gor Mahia nowhere with the one man mentality that he exhibits. He has not build a team spirit as well as meritocracy in the team apart from the old school of thought of divide and rule tactics.
All teams in Europe have fans favourite and this is a lethal weapon that Zico uses to mess up other players careers e.g where is Owiti. Mejjah and kosero, we can not bury our heads in the sand than seeing mediocracy taking the centre stage. Where were players that gave us runners up position last season.
To allow the technical bench, Zico et al, to continue running the show is to accept mediocrity. I’f tried and failed miserably to exercise any more patience in this matter. It is evident the technical bench and office have no idea on what to do to turn things around. And we are being asked to be patient? Patient because Zico guided the team in the latte part of last season. the way I saw it, it was a mixture of luck,a penalty here, a favourable call there and morale to the team from the 12th man. Indeed there was a display of individual skill, team cohesion and morale which are not evident this season. The talent that is there is not receiving the right coaching. The resultant is seen in the dismal performance. Until and unless the technical bench is shaken out of its mediocrity (by the office or fans – whichever comes first), we are in for a whole lot more embarassment.
@Mwakio, if the players who did duty last year are not upto the task, why not have them replaced? Surely why are we leaving in the past. Owiti is upcoming. Let him mature first. Chris Wekesa was fielded the other day and it was disastrous. He was a real highway. Kitawi played the other day and was not impressive at all. These players will pick up form and will be back. Be patient. Apart from Ngwa and Blackberry, the entire team is there. Whats the noise all about. Gor fans are just difficult to satisfy and the best thing to do is to ignore them. They are not involved in preparing the team for matches, yet the day of match you hear them making some very wild allegations. Leave the team to the technical bench, I have faith in them for now. Concentrate on playing your 12th man role. Play it religiously.
All your comments r all good i think its now for the officials to atleast if the club could have commucation manager.I may suggest Mac Owiti can do it better.
Why are we quarrelling? Am telling you guys after assessing all the comments here i can say without fear of contradiction the problem is communication. There are those who are banking on past performance of players e.g Kitawi (he has the skills) yet none of us know their current mental and physical status vis-a-vis say the players playing currently. It is so easy to blame even the current playing unit who might not be the best but the coach might have no other option but to field them taking into account the other players physical and mental status. But is there an avenue or a policy by the officials which is in place to allow for the fans to know all these info’ none by brothers and sisters none, so Zedi is let exposed to ridicule and bashing not that am vouching for him but it could be true. As for now i think the coach should fight to ensure we dont loose any game and wait for the open transfer window and recruit skilled, mature players coz i know in the first led there was no money but currently there is. I urge the officials to really think hard about appointing someone to be communicating what is going on otherwise these noise will not stop.
Mejjah and Kosero are way off. Dont compare Zico to Sir Alex. Man U loose a bad game once in a while. Zico is dropping too many points. He started by losing 0-3 to Rangers. Things haven’t improved since then.
At this rate Kogalo will finish 10th. If Man U ever finished 10th, fans would call for his sacking.
Coaching is about what you have done lately. Zico cannot keep living in the past. Teams have figured out how to beat Kogalo and Zico has not adjusted. If he cant adjust then its time for him to go.
Big mistake was removing Agido. Bad karma is coming back to bite Kogalo.
This idea that Kogalo does not have good players is bogus. Other than Sofapaka, there is no team in Kenya with better players than Kogalo. Zico is unable to motivate them. Or else they simply dont want to play for Zico anymore.
I am just waiting for Wednesday to prove Kosero, mejja and the rest, kuna shida just wait and seee!
I do criticise but only constructively. Ati Zico must go? go where? whom do you have in mind for replacement? Who will be able to satisfy you all, knowing how demanding you always are? Who,tell me, will take up this thankless job? The league is tough,no doubt; Congo United is no pushover team; what would it be if Gor were just to run over every team that comes? Is that possible, is that what we want and is it realistic? What we should be suggesting is how to make the team better. Go for a proven striker to prop up Lavatsa and this the whole office should think about seriously, even if they must cross the borders for that.
Zico has to go i cant understand why some giys cant see that and by the way nobody is saying he is a bad coach maybe he is one of the best that we have around.ithink he has done his part for kogalo i.e.bringing back the fans bla bla 2nd position……but like moses in the bible i think he has to go for joshua to come in now the joshua ia JOHN BOBBY OGOLA trust me he would make a better tactician and would take the club where we yearn to go.some people are saying league bado mbichi now let me tell them that we have been saying that for the last 15 years without any silverware so there are no two ways about this zico doest have a champions mentality you see he has reached we need a coach with a need ,a need to win and for those who cant remember the team that was so good last year was created by james sianga and zico used it now we need someone to win the league which zico seems unable to fathom.
Zico has to go i cant understand why some guys cant see that, and by the way nobody is saying he is a bad coach maybe he is one of the best that we have around.i think he has done his part for kogalo i.e.bringing back the fans bla bla 2nd position……but like moses in the bible i think he has to go for joshua to come in now the joshua is JOHN BOBBY OGOLA trust me he would make a better tactician and would take the club where we yearn to go.some people are saying league bado mbichi now let me tell them that we have been saying that for the last 15 years without any silverware so there are no two ways about this zico doest have a champions mentality you see he has reached we need a coach with a need ,a need to win and for those who cant remember the team that was so good last year was created by james sianga and zico used it now we need someone to win the league which zico seems unable to fathom.some has talked about players who dont want to play for zico and that could be true we need a different coach to motivate the players and if Rachier and company dont see what we see then God help Gor.and i want to make it clear as he leaves the club must buy out the remainder of his contract and send him off in a good way he has done alot for the club and by leaving the club he will be doing further good and trust me people like kitawi colo owiti etc will rise to an unimaginable level and for zico he will have time to concentrate on his job as Harrambe stars coach i wonder if fans see the same.
Guys I am telling you that the problem is not Zico. And if for real Zico is the problem, I may say that he is 1% of the total problem. The remaining percentage goes to the administration. They say that in football, fans tend to know much than the coach. We tend to argue that if a certain player was fielded we would have won. And that is what I call ‘maoni ya mashabiki’. As fans or sect members, we tend to have our favourite players and its always our wish that they are fielded.
Now, lets do the maths. How many players does Gormahia have? More than twenty.Do we really expect all of them to be fielded? No! And as ALBERT KOSERO said, Gattusso is indiscipline. Do we need to field a player whose chances of getting a red card is almost 99%? You probably know the answer. Are we ready to play a game with ten against eleven? You decide. How i wish Zico would field players in accordance to ‘maoni ya mashabiki’. And if he did so, the latest news would be; ‘MIGTHY KOGALO EYES RELEGATION’. Or a picture of kogalo sect members coiled somewhere in the city stadium’s terraces and the headline would read; ‘CRY, OUR BELOVED KOGALO.’…………..Tafakari hayo.
wandollar@ymail.com
TAKE MY ADVICE GUYZ. ZICO SAID HE IS BEGINNING TO GET WORRIED AFTER CONGO DRAW. HE HAS THE MESSAGE. HE IS LOOKING FOR SOLUTION. HE WILL FIND ONE OR OFFER ONE(HIS RESIGNATION) SETTLED. LET US SUPPORT KOGALLO. CAN WE HAVE NOW DISCUSS THIS GATE COLLECTIONS BY HOME TEAMS WHEN KOGALLO IS PLAYING AWAY.WE SAY WE ARE SIRIKAL AND YET TEAMS EXPLOIT US. WHY WOULD AFC MATCH SAME VENUE ONE WEEK LATER COST HALF OF KOGALO GATE CHARGE. WE HAVE SEEN THIS IN THIKA AND MOMBASA. WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Pawakuche you mentioned that there are players who dont want to play for ZIco and to me thats quite interesting an observation you have made. Can you see there is a problem in that either its a case of lack of discipline on the players part or a coach who is not in touch with his playing unit and thats how the officials come in to deal with conflicts. What it tells me is that either the team and the officials dont sit down and take stock of the performance of the team say every week. A good organisation will always look at its performance say after the launch of say a new product to see what impact it is making and i think some of the problems being witnesses could be bestt handled if there is a forum where the team brainstorms on its performance with a view to improving on its performance. Does Gor do that? An organisation is as good as its management and the playing unit as good as its manager but they also say without structures its everything for the taking. Am saying there is a probability we still dont have proper structures in Gor mahia to run it professionally and time is running out. About the team people lets not fool ourselves, yes the boys are good but are they good enough to challenge for the premier league and go for Club championship as it is? Nooooooo we must break the bank and recruit wisely and let the younger players grow with the team slowly lest burn them out. Already i hear Azam of Tanzania is after Lavatsa so there a gap will be created teh more reason for recruiting to avoid overdependence on 2 to 3 players.
Mr. Pawakuche, you have made me prove my point. And for that, I say thank you. Do you remember me writing that we are the most ungrateful creatures that ever existed since Jesus healed the 10 leapers somewhere in Jerusalem?
Today, you’ve proven me right.Once again, thank you my brother.
OK, let me explain. Mr Pawakuche, how dare you call Zico’s performance as bla bla bla!? Do you really think steering a team like Kogalo to the 2nd position is a mere blah blah blah? Do you think dragging the hard to please Kogaloans back to the stadium is blah blah blah? If God would rewind the world up to last year November, when the premiership was just an inch away from our grip, would you term Zicos’ performance as blah blah blah? Those were the days when Zico was the messiah but being the ungrateful lot that we are, we are baying for his blood shouting, ‘CRUCIFY HIM, CRUCIFY HIM!!’
OK, here are my final words.; Like Pontius Pilate, nimeosha mikono yangu and if at all he will be crucified, count me out. And one think for sure is when he will be crucified he will say silently, “FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL”
wandollar@ymail.com
Yes Mejja (and Kosero)uve hit the nail on the head, you are spot on-its maoni ya mashabiki- Zico has the final say on player recruitment, fielding and tactics. He’s not told us that administration is interfering with his job. So the buck stops with him. Our beloved GM is playing medicore football, below our standards and more our expectation.
@MEJJAH OMBITHO what you are saying is very true. Guys are using this forum to talk as if they have the inner details about the day to day happenings at Kogallo. Like I said and you have reemphasized it, if the coach were to listen to those who are drunk about Kitawi, Colo, Owiti etc, then we would be at the bottom of the table. Zico and the rest of the team, kindly ignore the kelele and stay focussed for the remaining games. League is very competitive, let us appreciate that simple fact.
I insist and I will still insist…even if a gun is placed on my head as I type this. I insist that we have to end this culture of pointing our fingers to the coach. This marks the beginning of the end.We should not be shallow thinkers. Lets access our problems from the roots not the stem. This idea of chasing coaches out of the stadium is so 1912. I say this because this is what we did to Siang’a and others. We should sit down and take responsibility as the Kogalo family. When all our fingers are pointed towards one direction (the coach), it gives room for other officials to mismanage the club since at the end of the day, the coach shall always be blamed. Lastly, the reason why I will not stop blaming the administration is because they have decided to keep quiet and let us guess what is happening in the club hence creating room for more noise. At least they should tell us something or else we will always head to the stadium with different opinions and the more we start arguing amongst ourselves the worser the situation gets. The administration should take the blame for dividing us.
wandollar@ymail.com
Yes Mejjah even if we have to get rid of somebody, lets be a little civil about it. You cannot think what will happen if we start going the way of shouting out coaches. We will remain starters all the time with new coaches, so where will that title come from and when. Be realistic my fellows. You do not love Kogallo more than some of us. Kosero I was not on your side some time ago but I think we need more moderates like you. Shouting ,heckling, abusing? that cannot take us far. I rest my case but the office needs to avail the funds to beef up the team.NO COACH THAT I KNOW OF LOCALLY, AND I REPEAT NONE, WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS TEAM ANY BETTER.I love the team more than some of you.
Thanks Ja Thur gi ji.
Ja Thur gi ji. I tend to agree that very few local coaches can handle the expectations of GM fans. That y a suggested a non-Kenyan coach with proven continental experience and with specific terms of reference/ goals. On how to raise finances we’ve suggested the membership/stakeholder idea, can the office engage us.Lastly where i don’t agree you is that those who shout and heckle as lesser fans of GM. GM has never had, does not and will never have an exclusive fan club. Finally lets not pass the buck Zico has not complained yet but is full of excuses
I vehemently agree with Ja Thur Gi Ji. Patience is what we lack. As much as we would like to win all our matches, what makes us think than the opposing team doesn’t s need the three points? WE SHOULD ALWAYS EXPECT A TOUGH GAME as we rally behind mighty kogalo in winning ways and also during our loosing days. That is what true followers do!!
I wonder what is expected of us if we do not know what happens with the players we expect performance from.
Surely do you expect us to keep quiet having watched Kiplangat play well last season then all of a sudden we se the team struggling in the forward line!
Guys it takes only one thing to play optimistic under these circumstances..Sycophancy.
Lets face reality and ask questions.. are we really aiming at the trophy or building a team? If indeed we are fighting for the trophy then why beat about the bush and so are getting the trophy by waiting for other teams to drop points or by working for it?
Do we attend GM matches to see other teams lose in which case do we attend opponents matches so we can cheer some teams so they drop points.. i wonder why we are so naive just running away from admiting that a deep problem is within our ranks!
So long.
Aggwa Kasam I know there is a problem and as a Gor Mahia follower, I am also concerened. But what I am trying to to say is that the mentality of “Coach must go” should come to an end. Remember, a habit is a disease. There are better ways of solving our problems than always pointing our fingers at the coach.
@Agwa Kassam, there is a problem, GM is not winning matches as expected. The League is brutally competitive. Look at Ulinzi, Sofacat, these are formidable sides and are also struggling. There is no Baruti, mafuko bombers or Blue Triangle of yesteryears in this league. All teams are very strong. Thats besides the point anyway, how do we start winning matches is the million dollar question. I beg to disagree that the problem is the coach. Just like Mejjah Ombitho said earlier, I see no crime Zico has committed, however crucify him if you think thats the solution. We are watching!!!!!
Albert Kosero, thanks for your comments. Tumeosha mikono zetu, majuto ni mjukuu, huja baadaye.
Hi brothers, i appreciate you guys..especially the toning down.. But am allergic to two things: 1. Career killing.. We’ve seen the players do well last season-kitwi,kip,owti,akango..its difficult for me to watch their careers thwarted just coz zico’s bent on making a new team! 2. It is alleged that drug addiction has spread from technical bench to players.. At this rate will these players secure a life worth it! GM is an institution not just a street name! Guys you can live with those but how does it feel when a person says our pple look like they’re addicted? GM’S NOT JUST FOOTBALL BWANA
Agwa Kassam I agree we need to address all issues that could possibly affect the club.I particularly dread to imagine that what you mention here could be happening. If its true then thats a sure way to ruin for our young stars and needs to be investigated and addressed urgently. Where is the office and what are they doing for where there is smoke there is always fire? Lastly I am happy as it appears we are toning down on the retorhics, coach is also human and he must be taking note of all your concerns. Thanks Ombitho, thanks Kosero, thanks everybody.
I’ve got this from GM facebook- “Ronald Ngala
@Maurice, bus funds are safe, already handed over to General Motors. We had requested that they release the bus to us after an agreement that we pay the remaining balance by monthly instalment, a request which was initially granted before they later changed their mind citing Gor being registered under a society act hence making credit business not viable to them. We were then forced to go for an alternative means of raising the balance by applying a loan from NIC bank. The loan has been granted so in the next two to three weeks the bus should be on the road.”- Kweli mambo ni mystery ati our beloved Club na sio tu kwa field, Jowa a loan to raise the balance to buy the bus!!!!
Thanks this is a step forward..i hope we ‘ll improve and even buy a better one without resorting to loans.. but still loans are part of life..
Also from GM facebook “another observation CONGO raised 730,000 on gate collection remember guys who attended this march were almost half the numbers we get at City stadium. (steps za kukaa zilikua tatu) the entry fee was 150/= coz more than half of Gor fans paid 150/- they s…till managed to raise that and they said how they spent it kwani what is wrong with our gate collection we pay 400/ 4 a bigger stadiumn get 600,000 guys this always the only guaranteed source of revenue to any club……(at least we managed to pay their players salaries)”
@ODUOR12 there must be unfaithful official and fans who are ripping off the club. We need to put then in notice that we are watching them and we are going to put them on the wall of Shame.
All said and done ,Zico should pull up his socks,be ready to listen to the voices(fans)and come up with a winning fomular to reduce pressure from both fans and himself, before things get out of hand.Right now we have a very good /strong squad which can take us places but we are taken a back when we don’t get results.patience pays but we need proper fielding.
Ripping the club…..quite sad i think the office should do something coz if the management harnessed the gate collections we could not have needed to go for a bank loan from NIC! Back to Zico and perfomance on the field -by the way this is friendly fire ‘twak mar followers’-so i dont expect anyone even Zico himself to take this personally coz i know he reads this. But i still stick to my guns that maybe the coach could be the problem that is 51% unless he can prove me wrong, look at it this way, mejja ombitho thinks am ungrateful you see and i dont want to be mean, then another brother is wondering loudly why some players would not want to play for Zico, well this things happen in football, right now kogalo is one of the most sought after clubs in East
Africa and no player would want to leave yet they are not motivated enough to perfom, the coach could be the problem as in most cases has been-lack of the right kind of motivation in most cases but i know you wont agree with me so now give Zico 5 games as a coach who wants to win the KPL and see how he performs i can promise you that 51% will be draws and loses.Mejja am not that bad watch the next 5 matches and you will see the light…………you cant aim for ever you have to shoot at somepoint 15 years without a silverware and you think you are still a big name ….?i dont think so guys relax and watch………
League ni ngumu ma fans. City Stars imelima Sofacat 1-0. Kimanzi MUST GO. Can somebody explain to me this. Kimanzi took over barely a month ago. I hear the other coaches were not performing. That is exactly what will befall Kogallo and the fans who are agitating for change will even get more frustrated. Mutuliye ma fans.
People are so blinded as not to see where the problem is at – an office with no clear structure. Why wld Congo get that kind of money & not ourselves, its a weak office structure that is benefiting fro loopholes with ticketing. Why de poor performance by de team, a weak structure that doesnt want 2 hold anyone accountable 4 poor performance. Why de noise fro fans, a weak structure that is numb 2 communicating with fans on the ongoings in the club. Can Gor mahia officials set up a secretariat with a clear everything will fall in place.
@Waxme, 2 years ago a very few of Gor diehards used to follow the happening in the team leave alone attending matches. The current office took over and started building the team and slowly by slowly fans started trickling back to the stadium. I wonder what structure you are talking about because the current office led by Rachier have gone out of thier way to spend Thousands of thier own money to put Gor where it is at the moment. Why do we now want to stake claim in what we have not built. Its very unfortunate that we are very ungratefull lot. Let these guys manage the club because the fans who now want to manage it are the very ones who almost brought it to its knees. Gor has a constitution and let the current office complete thier mandate thereafter you may vote in the performing office. I have no doubt in my mind that the current office are doing everything within thier disposal to put Gor where it belongs. However the noise from ungrateful fans is not helping the situation at all. My advice to management, kindly ignore these noise. Asante ya punda ni mateke in Gor it seems.
All mafans, when fans are discussing openly some fans such as kosero and mejja are insulting others are drunk with etc. Why going this far? If you do not agree with one another comments just stop using expression meant for village whores. This shows how unschooled and thick some fars are. All fans deserve respect and some statements just reflect negatively on the bloggers and show very little where such abusive fans are coming from and general background. Kosero seems to the secretary general (mwalimu) and mejja is the colonel. They are defending the rot they have created by themselves and we are all watching the space. I can assure that it is a matter of time and we shall see the truth on zico and the so called officials who have continued to rip off the club. The term is ending soon and we will elect officials who can account for every cent spent on club which is not the case currently with Gor Mahia. As much as we are grateful to the chairman for having steered the club to the position 2 last season, there is no accountabilty to fans and this is why we will continue to loose money at the entry gates. Gor is supporting large and extended stakeholders that include such officials and cohort fans. It is very sad to see high attendance but the net collections does not commensurate with the high match attendance. This leaves me with question marks that where are our core values? do we have ethical standards that can be executed by officials? Even if the chairman is the sole financier, we need accountability with financial reports are circulated to fans across the country and East Africa. When will we have AGM or SGM to air some of our concerns such as financial controls and corporate governance. Come second led, I can assure our fans that we are going to loose players such as Owiti, Kitawi, wekesa, colo, etc to Sony, tusker and afc. We will see what will happen next! I still believe that coach should not mishandle the playing unit for the posterity of the club. Players are human beings and they too require respect. If these issues and concerns are not addressed adequately, we should expect massive exodus from the club and defection of fans to TV cheerleaders. My concerns are just for the wayforward but not sycophancy as seen from most comments.
@Mwakio, is it that you simply like using the word sycophant or what? Any time one has a different opinion from yours, he is a sycophant. Who said we must all think and talk the same. Wacha siasa, continue cheering Kogallo with all your heart. Thats your role for now. Anything more than that is asking too much. What is the urgency all about in knowing the gate collections which when summed up is not even enough to run the club for a quater season. Why are we making unnecessary noise. Gate collections are just a small fraction of the annual budget for Gor. Please be contented with cheering the club. Thats the best you and I can contribute for now.
Kosero structures meant by waxme are not about fans tricking back to stadium(s)! Structures are about the following:-
1. Embracing the principles of corporate governance
2. Proper financial controls and prudent fanancial magagement
3. Proper accountability and transparency to all stakeholders (fans, players, sponsors, government, community etc.
4. Proper organisation structure with clear definition of functions and responsibilities
5. Having proper communication and PR channels
6. Having a strategic intent and plan for planning in advance etc
Kosero stop reactionary tactics and read between the line! What are you defending? The rot? Let the performance of the team speak in the pitch and financial reports be send to members on time.
Even if the officials spend their monies from their pockets, we still need financial reports for the purpose of accountability and transparency. We are grateful for their genorosity but note that none of them were forced to spend their monies but the officials should come up with sustainable financial model that will take the club to greater heights in future. We would like our officials to turn this large fan base into financial base in terms of the sale of club merchadises/replicas, shareholding, membership subscriptions etc
@kosero you are the one bringing politics by not telling us the truth. Please tell us what can be done to improve the club performance and bring unity of purpose among the playing unit and the coach. Tell us what can be done to bring good structure and improve accountabilty as well as gate collection. Let us stop rhetoric but support the club with clean hearts.

Kosero i find you abit ignorant in Kampala now look here my brother if Congo boys made kshs.730,000.00 out of what they were charging at the gate dont you think in Nairobi home matches Kogalo could be making in excess of kshs.2,000,000.00…? at all home matches at home read stadi, its unfortunate if you dont attend the matches coz am sure if you were then you could be intrested in knowing what happens and for your information am talking about Kenya shillings here the value may be different from 2m UG shillings that on a lighter note kosero.Manchester United increased their gate collections by a pound and the fans are threatening to go on strike!does it ring a bell?we must have intrest in the gate collections as commited followers, it will take time yes coz even the Kenya Government is not that open though thats where we are going. otherwise for me it would be very irresponsible not to raise issues ati simply to support the club no way…..whichever way, the team is a democracy and thats why we vote offices in and out, otherwise for me a new coach would still do as i told mejja jana lets see in the next five matches what happens i think ZIco drew or lost to Ulinzi yesterday coz havent heard tell me guys-the results……..its getting intresting by the day.
Before i officially start commenting on some blogs, could someone please tell me when our game versus Ulinzi (KPL TOP 8) will be played?
Now Mwakio, you claim that kosero and I are oozing insults on other fans. Why? Whom? When?Do you think that the fact that Kosero said that some fans are “drunk” with Kitawi and others is an insult? Do you really know the definition of an insult? What is more of an insult between you telling us that we sound like village whores and Kosero writing that some fans are drunk with Kitawi and other players.
The answer is simple….Yours sounds more of it. Infact you are hiding your insults behind us! The word drunk has been used by Kosero to explain the crazy passion some fans have towards other players in that they cannot stomach the fact that they are not fielded. Is that an insult? Tell me, is it?
One doesn’t have to be a professor of linguistics to detect that you are the one showering us with insults.
Ehe! before I forget, which rot have we(Kosero and I) created that we are trying to defend? Please explain before i start doubting your mental stability.
I concur let’s join – give Zico five more games but this means joining Jakojera and forgeting the KPL title this year. Is that ok with Kosero and Mejja ama you want us to give him ten games.Pick your the number of games he should be given. As for City Stars beating Sofameow, thx to them we may finish in the top 5 courtesy of other teams dropping points. Finally Kosero everybody appreciates the work Rachier and his office have done but that does not absolve them from being accountable e.g cost of the bus, contributions, shortfall. And also state match collections after every match, whats so hard or was GM an investment for them and now they are reaping fruits of their labour so so sad if thats the case
Kogalo fans pliz why dont we tone down matusi to wache. as one is free to air his/her views we should avoid insult.the club as come far and the current office have played there part well.what wl stl suggest if the current office could employ COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER we shall be step ahead otherwise we tone down matusi hapana noooo hapana.
@Mejjah Ombitho, return match against Ulinzi was scheduled for 18th May if I am not wrong.
@ODUOR12 you can recall, I have been on record requesting you guys to be patient and evaluate the performance of the coach and the team at mid season. I have said that over and over again. We have 6 matches to go.Lets have faith and support the boys religiously.
@Vincent Ocampo, we are in 2011 not 1911, therefore I agree with you Matusi tuwache kabisa. For God and my Club Kogallo.
Yeah matusi tuwache lakini why do they insult us. Why cant someone raise his or her point without mentioning an obscene word? Matusi imeishia hapo.
Mejjah i agree with u. let not insult.it wl not help us at all in any way. we should gv the solution on how to tackle a probelm.we should gv Zedi tym coz he is the headcoach.
Yes matusi to wache. However let’s not lose focus, we can’t be patient forever, so do we give Zico 6 matches to take us to position 3/4 and the end of the first leg of the league so that we are in a position to a least competitively challenge for the championship.Only my opinion.
@Kosero and Mejja, sorry brothers for the word used. No bad blood please. Let us us not fight because of our glamour club. People have different opinions but we are still brothers and more so GM fans. You guys have articulated your comments very well. Let us all stop commenting in history but on the way forward of the club such as where do we see GM in two years time from now. Can we get more sponsors? What can be done to market GM? Please when you write very lengthy comments, you are bound to attract unendless comments and responses. On behalf of all GM fans let close this chapter and look at other matters aimed at helping our club. Ceasefire please?

It is not about giving Zico a number of matches but according him and the team full support, the league title is still very much within reach. Kelele, matusi tuwache, but coach must be serious during the transfer window. Thanks for all those who give constructive criticism but to hell with those who criticise but do not give suggestions on the way forward.See what is happening to Sofapaka. Is it time for
@Ja Thurgi Ji, we must accommodate all to show sportmanship. Just look at the stadium attendance, we have all sorts of fans with different types of behaviours. If we are accommodative enough, all fans will be singing the same song and gospel. This will bring unity in the club. Please note a house divided can not stand.
@Paulo, thank you very much well said. By the way my intentions are very good when am talking about structures. Where there is no light darkness prevails and to prevail against darkness light must come in and envelop darkness. Its for Rachier’s own good and everyones else today and the future when they put proper structures in place. He maybe well intentioned in what he is doing but with a weak structure the fall will be catastrophic @Kosero i really sympathise with you if you cant see what i meant, may the good Lord touch your heart to see the light. I have nothing personal against the officials and i do thank them even now for the good work they are doing. My evaluation is all these noise we hear is coz of lack of responsibility in all the three areas, the officials, the bench and the playing unit; Officials for not seeing the need to put up a secretariat with professionals (Head of marketing and media, Head finance and accounts, Team manager, Team doctor, General secretary etc) on full time basis, the bench for not signing quality players in the open season and the players for not seeing the pain in the fans faces and uping their game. In all these i think the fans have done their part by cheering the players on consistently, paying gate charge and travelling long distances. Please officials when all is said and done the buck stops with you coz we gave you the power to organise and re-organise, to hire and fire when there is a sense of incompetence being exhibited by anyone. Use your powers wisely and you will be blessed.
@WAXME, kindly show us the money and the offices you are talking about will be put in place on permanent basis. Running a football team is not easy. Ask yourself where the moneyed clubs like Mumias, Nzoia, Posta etc disappeared to. Money from TUZO is still not enough to run Gor for a whole season. Lets look for more sponsor, then we can start talking of offices like the ones you are suggesting. I totally agree they are very good but at the moment may be Volunteers can help. Let the players welfare be given first priority. Medical Insurance, being one of the priority items if you ask me.
Guys am back! and surely av missed a lot of the debate @Kosero, Mejja. Gor is where it is because of Us!!!!(THE DRUNK FANS, CHEERLEADERS). Good people just answer one question for me what is Gor mahia without it’s fans? hmmmmmmmm! Do u think our ‘very good management, Holier than thou’ put their own money into Gor? or they went around begging moneyed Gor fans to key in some funds in support of the club. Kwani how rich are they to pay all the club expenses when the fans were not there? Let u not be cheated even the TUZO deal has happened because of the unreasonable fans who are questioning what is going on at the club! I would like to advice all the fans to keep making as much noise as possible when things are going wrong but dont jump into the field and harass the coach.2. these players are not championship material most of them they forms have dipped goal keeper, defensive midfielder, can only play well when Gattuso is on, our wings are so blunt that i wonder if we have any wingers at all. We have to make alot of noise so that something is done. There is a reason why they charge us 400/= for GM matches is it because we have so much money to burn? I don’t think so! the one reason i know is any GM fan will watch them play no matter what amount of money is pegged on the ticket, Kosero/mejja pls bare with us if u r in an organisation that ur behavior and perfomance is not questioned i guess u will be sleeping on the job, but for GM know that we are the owners we can make it and we can ruin it……………IT IS THE FANS WHO ARE GOR MAHIA NO BODY ELSE!!!!
@Jakojera, please tell Kosero that where there is will there is a way. It is not about having so much money my friend but how prudent you are with the little you have been given. Does the office know how luck they are to have been here in this time in history, a sponsor, supersports and a faithfull fan base something that some of that people like Okudo who had a vision did not have yet Kosero says its expensive to run the club. Even city council with its rot is doing better, they got a budget and Kisia knows where he plans to get the money and how he plans to spend it. Has the office ever given us their budget for us to know how expensive it is to run the club? No never! Simple mathematics if the club were to target say 7,000 fans per game (comes with accountability) this might translate to say 21,000,000 Ksh per year minus money from supersport but then again have we seen the budget which forecasts how they are to raise money? No, so how are they planning and operating, is it an ad hoc manner? What am i fighting for? I want the officials to know this is not personal rather to encourage them to relook at how they are operating. They have the best opportunity to leave a legacy in Gor mahia as the team that put up the right structures to move the club to the future, structures that no one will mess around with. Please lets avoid the FKL debacle where people operated football like their kingdoms. @Kosero read tonight Mathew chapter 25: 14-30 its all about being prudent with the little given to you.
Jakojera thank you
Please tell them. Fans are the backbone of the team. Without fans the team cannot survive. Fans deserved better respect from the organization. Rachier is not doing us any favors. Chairmen come and go but fans are always there to stay. I urge fans to continue to voice their opinion and hold the club officials accountable.
@Jakojera9 and @WAXME, GM’s current wave started last year mid season. In 2009 Gor matches would attract less than 1000 diehard fans. How was GM surviving? No one wants to know. Why were you guys not making these demands then. GM has genuine well wishers who spend their resources during sad and happy times. You will not hear them making strange demands that I am now reading on this forum. Let us support Kogallo unconditionally just like we have done before. Chest thumping, that you can make or ruin Gor is unfortunate. I can mention here again, that the few fans who think that if they fail to attend Gor games then Gor will die are day dreaming. You are asking for the budget as if you will do something about it. Let us be realistic here. Those who want to help Gor are out there doing it silently and that is why you and I can even afford to air our views on such a forum now. If you feel you have anything that can help Kogallo, please contact the office, otherwise remain a loyal faithful like me. Lastly football is now serious business, and we all appreciate the law of supply and demand. The gate charges are high yes, and its because of the principal of supply and demand. Gor is a product. Let me not be mistaken on this, I abhor the high gate charges but again there is not much we can do not unless we boycott attending matches. Do we want to do that? Your answer is as good as mine. NO!. Support Kogallo unconditionally with all your heart. For God and my club – Gor Mahono.
For now it might sound impossible for the management to lay out it’s financial plans and any other business tranacted in the name of GM……but soon and very soon they will have to the first thing that will happen is they will have to convert GM from a society to limited company and this is what the current management are fighting so that it doesnt see the light of day. When this is done cheerleaders and drunkards will have shares of GM and as a shareholder u will have a right to voice ur concern in anyway u can. Kogalo’ fans U R GORMAHIA AND WITHOUT U GOR MAHIA IS DEAD’ and the officials will have no club to represent.
This is unfortunate! Kosero its good you’ve repeated what you’ve always believed! 1. That fans dont benefit GM.. Well because you’re in Uganda and you insist on your theory we understand we should leave you alone. 2. You’ve refused to accept that disparities between match attendance and collections is so glaring and you jump to defence of the so called officials. 3. You’ve insisted that GM can do without fans yet all our Fms, print and all media are all urging our importance. 4. You think some pple have money to run GM yet gate möney is stolen. 5. Then u tell us to contact officials.. When we are in branches! Why are you abusing us
@Agwa Kassam 1. Fans are important, there is no doubt about that. However there are crop of fans Gor can do without. Between 2005 and mid season 2010, only very few diehard fans would attend Gor Games, and here I am talking about less than 1000 fans. Gor survived. However the more fans the merrier for Kogallo. 2. I have not seen anywhere in the press or on this website, any official releasing the gate collection figures. I stand corrected on this. Where are you getting your figures from. Hope you are not relaying on hearsays. 3. Gor need fans and fans need Gor. Gor is a product which is sold to willing buyer. I have mentioned in this forum repeatedly that fans who are not satisfied may look for a another product. 4. You have no proof that money was stolen. Where is the source of your claims? Again I hope you are not relaying on hearsays. Between 2005 and last year mid season before Gor started attracting huge crowds, where was Gor getting money from? Gor had no sponsors. Player were being paid, would go to camp b4 games, GM could play with proper uniform, boots etc. Where were these coming from? I dont just think that some people have money, indeed they have money to run Gor. Let us appreciate what they are doing. However I do not support stealing gate collections if at all its true. 5. A serous fan who thinks that he/she has something to offer to the club will try and contact the official, not make endless noise in this forum. Chairman can be reached on the email address below lawtechs@rachieradvs.co.ke. I dont think I have abused anyone by directing you to the right people. If at all it sounds like an abuse, then I plead for lenience. Otherwise Bandari walale. See there kesho. For God and my club – Gor Mahono.
kamala guy give us abreak ples we saw it coming from naivasha, nairobi, posta rangers, upto mombasa we were not comentting on anything we gave them time ?now what do u want us fans to do? fans take there time to go anywhere to wach kogallo why ? coz we like our team and no Gor fan who dnt know players .do club give fans money to travel ?its us fans .thats why fans hv aright to know whats going on.sorry to tell u me myself i flew to mombasa coz of nature of my work icunt hv gone ealier .ples lets admit kuna shida coach should not take fans forgranted .like sambody said patient has alimit NOTE THAT.remb there is ateam wich refunded money to fanS in UK COZ THEY WERE BEATEN PROPER in kenya who would refund u that ,its seams kuna wale wako karibu na ziko sana tell him we need change wv lots of tough teams ahead of us .
@Kosero my friend i have been there and done that, do you know i started watching Gor mahia games at City stadium when Bobby Ogolla was the King pin and i have never looked back. Do you know my own brother has played for Gor mahia and some of the players who have played at Gor over the years even when we were down have been my friends so i know the inside of Gor and its ongoings. Most would tell me when they have been payed and in most times it was not in full and they remained faithfull only wiching for a sponsor to come in. Kosero my friend we can remember when Gor fans would go pick Ocholla who is in the current team to come and play when we could not even raise a team just recently. Kosero you are one amazing guy the way you are reasoning, asking where were we? Let me inform you that its not about being a conformist rather accountability in the part of anyone one holding a public office and am not against the officials in Gor infact they have done a good job so far. @Kosero why do you feel offended when am asking of the officials to ensure during their tenure they put structures in place for posterity such that the day they leave the office no one will mess us up is that something wrong to ask? Thank you again for Rachier’s email address but then again this forum gives me a better opportunity to air my views but it seems Kosero is afraid or are you doing somebody’s bidding? I would rather hang around people who show me my weaknesses rather than those who forever praise me coz when the fall from grace comes it does swiftly. Kesho niko and am praying for victory, God willing.
now now wr fr real games sofaka,Tusker, sony, ulinzi, same month fans ni kubaya then sameone is saying be patient moto mbele wev too pull our socks sijui vipi ?round hii .sasa fr those who say wr rong tell us what nxt
Actually Kosero..maybe i dont understand what you’re doing or trying to do..without telling many stories i’ll note the following.
1. It pains any adult especially a man to be told that someone has money and can take care of him all the time..really why should someone shoulder the responsibility of GM when we have over one hundred thousand people willing to financially support?
2.I actually read in this forum that Congo raised 700k, are we saying we can not know GM reports less always, is it not in this forum that people have complained of terrace up gradation for fans and is that not corruption?
3.Is it only a few of us who are interested in knowing the financial status and development of GM.
4.GM was down sometimes back but is it not fair and right that a budget be drawn then we can finance it@
5. Will you appreciate that the Bus project was a brainchild of fans and we contributed and it is good we did and are still willing to?
6. Kosero its really painful and bad that you keep talking of some fans not contributing and refering us to officials when GM has Branches which is the most effective way of support and evaluation of even undesirable characters within GM ranks..We are contributing in branches and its high time you accept the office must come clean on financial management.. we are willing..we are not interested in other peoples’ monies.. Kidogo Kidogo hujaza kibaba..
The problem with Kosero is he started watching GM say in 2008, for my age i started my relationship with Gor via my uncle in 1989 whereby he could make me listen to the names of the players and repeat them so that he could jot them down fast forward 1994 1995 crop of players who knows them let mention a few steve okumu, odiaga, odidi, frazier, ogada(was deadly) and the others, pls tell me ………if u compare our boys now and the class of 1995 do the measure up? mark u they did not have sponsors and there was not so many fans as now but maze i remember Okumu and Odiaga competing on who would score more goals. Right now we have Kosero’s Management and sponsors above all sisi mafans we are filling the stadium but we are surviving ……….and that why we are asking what is going on?
@WAXME and @Agwa Kassam ceasefire!!! Lets compare notes after Bandari match. I foresee a peaceful exchanges next week. We only disagree when we lose points. This time we shall bag all the 3 point. For God and my club Kogallo
@jakojera 9, u r entitled to your opinion. You even know when I started watching Gor. Laughable!!!. Hope you are not talking about when you started watching Gor.
sasa albert uv known what fans r demanding even me hv given u teams wr going to meet check my mail up there so again ur saying wr going to win and get thee points from who and how ?
Let us meet in the stadium, if u r in kampala how will u make it in time for the match!!! just wondering? omera u r a funny guy……….ceasefire wacha tuanze next week depending on what happens tomorrow.
jakojer ushamliza all coments bwana .kweli is this guy in kampala or just aname bye kesho stadi kama kawa
@Jakojera 9, Kampala – Nairobi is only 1 hour away. Cheer kogallo as loud as possible with all your heart kesho. Catch you there!!! For God and my club Kogallo
the way ur talking ur just here in town Albert bro even i work with airline i know its one hour .tafuta mimi kesho kwa ball sawa k ,sasa how would we know u jaa kamapla ?
CEASEFIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its so sad, it seems to me we have Gor Mahia FC supporters and Zico FC supporters. Imagine these Zico FC supporters won’t even state the number of games / minimum position that Zico must take our beloved GM. Instead they say we be patient forever and forever and just cheer. The result against Bandari should be just the first evaluation step. Anywayz the as per the trend GM might pull a win but then again we can never be too sure. Finally to Zico FC die hards rest assured the truth will prevail, accountability and transparency will prevail, GM supporters(of all classes) will become even more active members whose contribution will be noted and Gor Mahia will be Mighty again. You and me have the internet to vent our view some GM faithful only chance to be heard is at the match woe onto you Zico FC fraternity. I pray and hope for a Kogalo win.
@ODUOR12, in 2009 season, GM finished in the 5th position. In 2010, we were runners-up. It therefore goes without saying the we are aiming at the championship and I am optimistic that we shall achieve it. This league is not for faint hearted. Not for sulking lot. Mukaye ngumu jameni. Story za sijui accountablity, transperency leave for NGO’s na wana siasa. Keep supporting Gor. For God and my club Kogallo.
I will not say anything from today. i am saving my words for monday, after receiving our result against bandari. KOGALO FOREVER.
Lets stop goofing we want the squad that won runners up last season people..it is that squad that must be strengthened to win the league.. I’ve said this all along ,am saying it today and not changing it coz its the truth that will prevail! Final hatutaki guesswork and player IDPS za huyo ziko.. Bure kabisa!
@Kosero its not about ceasefire its all about accountability whether we win or lose my friend. Please please please i just want the offcials to put structures in place period. By the way the gate charges are still 400Ksh centerstand and 100ksh Russia and i still hear there are guys who bribe their way to the center stand. Somebody is sleeping on the job and maybe silently reaping from lack of clarity. If we make our finances right bwana Kosero i can assure we will attract the best players without having to worry a thing, thats my prayer.
We meet at stadia all the best kogalo fans.GOR MAHIA ni yetu.
kosero if u can understand kogallo fans simple but uv hidden agenda wewe, karibu game leo bro
@WAXME, it is high time what structures you are talking about. May be I am lost. Kindly educate me on the structures you keep refering to. Thank you
Today’s game we played very mediocre football. Though we won and collected three points, which pattern was GM playing through the 90 minutes? It appears there was no teamwork and co-ordination was very poor throught the game. Bandari played better and purposeful football than GM. If were to compare our last season team’s performance and commitment, GM has lost the rythm and the sleak passes we used to put together. From my own assessment, I think our coach Zico has lost it and it is a matter of time for him to throw in the towel. The outstanding players were Odhiambo, Masika and Musa. From the body language of players, I think we have a deep problem in the technical bench that should be sorted out as soon as possible before it is too late. Zico and the entire technical bench can not unite the playing unit and today’s match was a big testsament. Players were looking uncommitted and this is a reflection on what is happening at the club. I propose that the chairman should take charge and convene stakeholders meeting for members to air their concerns because the club belongs to members. At this rate, we are going to be a pale shadow of ourselves if the officials remains indecisive. From the comments, I think there is one thing that most GM fans have alluded to and this is for Zico to step aside for the interest of the team.
Gor 1 Bandari 0 but this is not enough we should be winning with 3 or more goals against the lower league teams….
Hata mimi nimesikia ni one nil ..but lets apprecite that result..
Those who were not in the stadium have no reason at all to comment on this match!!!!!.@Kosero, did i hear u say we will challange for the championship? now i know u are a heckler who doesnt even come to the stadium…………….. it is now very clear why ur views are so different from the other fans. Yesterday was what we call WALLOWING IN THE SEA OF MEDIOCRITY! Hakuna mahali tunaenda
@Jakojera 9, Gor Mahia 1, Bandari 0. What else do you guys want. You guys will never stop amazing me. Those are 3 very vital points and we are closing in on Tusker. Only 4 points apart.
These should not be a forum for exchanging has words.THERE is fans pege where all these nonsense am reading here should be expressed.ALL these hullabaloo must stop.THESE forum should only be used to congratulate the team for good job or KUWAKOZOA KIDOGO where they did`nt do well.To the guys who feel so let down concerning gors poor perfomance I say sorry.to those who feel the coach should not be held accountable to the perfomance of the team who employed you to do that?Guys rem. you volountear your support to Gor out of all the premier legue teams,do not come with ultimutams if you feel the team is not at par with your expectations please you are at liberty to shift your allegience may be by doing that you will be speaking louder.kindly you are stressing the coach to a level he cannot control.you cannot pressurise a coach that you want result as if other team doesn`t need the same result.kindly to all gor fans reviw your stand and act wisely.
