Kogalo seek points against Ulinzi

Up next for Kogalo is 2010 champions, Ulinzi Stars at Afraha stadium Nakuru on Saturday. This is a venue that has not been a happy hunting ground for the team. The last match there ended in a loss to Oserian. And Ulinzi have been a tough nut to crack at home.

But Kogalo will be buoyed by their fortuitous win on Sunday against Sofapaka. For once, it was Kogalo who received the lucky bounces. And fans will be hoping for the same.

Missing from the team will be Moses Odhiambo who has an ankle injury. Gor Mahia will be coming up against former player, Wycliff Ochomo who joined Ulinzi this year.

Match tickets will be sold on game day at Afraha B. Main stand tickets will sell at Ksh 500 while terrace tickets will go for Ksh 200.

  • LETS SCORE FROM OPEN PLAY THIS TIME……WE DONT WANT GOALS FROM PENALTIES, FREE KICKS AND CORNERS…GOOD LUCK !

  • @Jakoyo goals are goals no matter how they are scored. I remember when I was young that Diego Maradona scored by the hand of God and this what gave Argentina the World Cup trophy.

There is no problem even if we can win all our games through penalties or set pieces such as free kicks and corners.

Am still sad that a noble blog like this that articulates the well being of a respected club has been turned into hacking field, name calling and assuming abusive user names. I asked for an explanation from a one Mc Ochan for using my profile of which is not forthcoming. I will assume he is not a man worth his salt. I have forthwith changed my name to ‘Eblazing Diva’. I wish the boys every bit of luck as am still away.

Some observations about this match against Ulinzi. One, in the pretext of avoiding this saga of fake tickets they say the tickets will be sold on the same day. I think they are out to frustrate Gor fans. They don want us to fill the stadium of which am sure our fans will do.
Two, how come they have put the entrance at those exorbitantant prices? They want to harvest loudest and at the same time to thwart our presence at the stadium. Again, we will prevail. The Gor legion scout on and show your might. Lets show the discipline we had the last time outing against SoNy at the same venue. Again, lets have road etiquate all the way to and fro Naks. Good luck!

  • According to team sources the only injury is to Moses Odhiambo. Then can someone tell us about Lavatsa and Hugo Nzoka. We need more alternatives upfront

Teams that are capable of scoring from corners and free kicks are considered to be technically superior and are respected all over the world. Goals scored from such set pieces turn out to be a beauty. What we should be praying for is to be prolific in scoring during open play so that when rare opportunities like penalties come about they just supplement. If we can score at least three goals per match then the chances are high that we shall be winning those games.

I had earlier mulled with the idea that K’Ogalo goes to camp in preparation for this match. I remember those camps at Thompson’s Falls (Nyahururu). I cannot remember GM losing any game after camping there. Those who know attribute it to the climate, altitude as well as being reclusive and serene. What killed those one-week long camps? Such camps should be more feasible now considering our financial muscle and the fact that most players are fully professional hence player release by the employer is no longer an issue.

Football is no more a mere pastime or recreation. It is a business and it is the club with sound business management approach that will prosper. It is simple: spend money to prepare well for a match and you get a win, the win then attracts more fans back and that ensures higher revenue from gate collections plus a wider market for would-be sponsors.

As I pointed out earlier, a K’Ogalo win in the next match will have dramatic and far-reaching effects in the KPL.

Team Gor Mahia I wish you well as you prepare for this crucial game. Remember our away record is simply poor and one team Ulinzi does not like losing to is Gor Mahia F.C.

@Eblazing Diva it’s unfortunate that circumstances not of your choice have made you change you blogger ID. These people are spineless and daring. You have earned the position of head of this blog’s security and cyber crime intelligence unit. If they can do it to you how about bare-footed people with “empty comments that cannot take Gor Mahia anywhere” like us? Fight on Diva.

May I join other bloggers in expressing my discomfort with one very vulgar blogger’s name in the preceding article. This site is supposed to be a preserve of decent and mature self respecting people across the globe. I hope you don’t find my name offensive, however for further insight I invite you to tour http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colton_Harris-Moore or simply google barefoot bandit.

This blog is really GOR MAHIA.NET. It has all kind of characters. Today it is @ Jakoyo giving conditions on the kind of goals that should be scored. @ Jakoyo you sound very desperate and it is long overdue since you lastly celebrate a clinical goal scored during during an open play. Hopefully you prayers will be answered in NAKURU.

But also do not hesitate to celebrate dead balls goals which in most occasions are painful to the opponents be it goal-kick,spot-kick,free-kick,corners or throw-in. Remember Peter Dawo’s header from Abbas Magongo corner won K’Ogalo mandela cup in Kasarani.

    NB:
Where are you the “SHEMALES” of this blog. i have only noticed the presence of one. Where are the other two?

@Jakoyo in post 1 may I copy and paste: “…WE DONT WANT GOALS FROM PENALTIES, FREE KICKS AND CORNERS…” That is a dangerous statement. What happens if God hears or reads that statement? Please read a scripture then go on your knees to pray and retract the statement while there is still a chance.

@Jakoyo, I have never been impressed with your sentiments. To us a goal is good to go for even if a player throws it into the net. We need points like nothing else.
To all our fans, let us go in big numbers to cheer our team, but remember to be desciplined on our roads, to other motorists and even to anyone who is not part of us.
To the players, fight to the end and make sure we score before 30 minutes if possible. I am on my knees praying and may God’s will be done.

Comrades IDCC verdict is courtesy of futaa.com. K’Ogalo plays the next three matches in empty stadium if WE will show “a strategic plan” within 15 days or else the ban will be extended to 5 home matches.

Thanks @ Dan and O.Trailer. How about super 8 guys any info. We still need to square out with the big cat on that front.

  • AFC plea for three matches also turned down. Maybe AFC will appeal as they think they seriously need the three points. What with all the teams now fully phsyched for them. The Super 8 match was not afected by the verdict and since FKF was waiting for this verdict they might as well give a date for the match.
I hope it’s a lesson for us to be our brothers keeper. For our info GM gave the names and contacts of the goons but looks like nobody was interested in the list. I wonder why they were asking for it. The VC has promised that we will appeal. I believe we can still win those matches

We asked for it! You will now hear some “addidas” fellows on this blog making wierd comment concerning the IDCC verdict. When shall we learn? That is Ksh. 3 million plus down the drain. Its unacceptable. We change or perish.
The only positive from the IDCC verdict is that Gor will be playing without any pressure from “addidas” gang. I see Mayienga winning all the 3 matches convincingly. For God and my club Kogallo

  • THE GREEN ARMY TO EXCHANGE FIRE WITH KENYA DEFENCE FORCE ( ULINZI)

We travel down again to the panoramic town of Nakuru to try and securing the three maximum points at stake. The army men will once again assemble their arsenal in an effort to deny us the points.

Afraha stadium has brought a mix of fortunes over the seasons. Buoyed by the recent performance, K’Ogalo will be hoping to repeat the feat against Ulinzi. we will not under any illusions to underate our hosts. The 2010 KPL champions are a respectable side on the field. They are well known for their solid defence and lethal strikers. Their army men too are well known to use their physigue to their advantage.

Our boys are shoulder and head to the army men. I wish to take this early opportunity to wish our boys all the best of success at Nakuru. We also urge for utmost responsibility as you travel down to Nakuru by respecting other road users . We have pledged to be good ambassadors for our beloved and great club.
