Last Grasp equalizer gives Gor Mahia a point

An injury time penalty conversion by skipper Julius “Awilo” Owino gave Kogalo a hard fought point against Tusker. The penalty came about following a foul by Jockins Atudo on Duncan Owiti.

Earlier on, rookie sensation, Paul Were had given Tusker the lead when he beat Jerim Onyango in the Gor Mahia goal with a rising shot.

Gor Mahia piled on the pressure as Tusker resorted to time wasting tactics. Both Kevin Omondi and George “Blackberry” Odhiambo came close. The introduction of Duncan Owiti brought more fireworks to the Kogalo forwardline and resulted in the penalty which was converted by Awilo much to the relief and celebration of the die hard fans.

Paul Were is a revelation on a National scale. I hope he will maintain the form for some years. The country is in dire need of lethal strikers.

  • It was a great much, we missed several clear chances in the first half. Second half was also great and Tusker have their goalie to thank for saving them in the dying minutes of the game

  • Technically, our Kogallo Boys are gifted. We need to be more lethal in front of goal and take our chances,we should have been at least 3 Nil up by halftime.

By any degree of measure, Kogalo was at its best yesterday. Tusker are lucky to have squeezed a point. The future of this team is very very bright. Well done boys, great job Zico and crew. We are solidly behind you.

The match was good and I think the coaches should be staring with Odhiambo, Owiti and Makori upfront so as to kill the game in 1st half and Kevin should be placed at No. 8 to give him room to run rings round in the middle because if he is playing at the wing, his game normally slow down. Second half bring in Kiplagat, Ngwa and Kitawi to kill the game completely. With Owiti as a finisher then we not need to worry.

Lets meet on Sato City mapena kwani pahali pa kukaa hutapata esp Russia
