Logarusic Future uncertain

Courtesy of futaa.com

Gor Mahia Coach Zdravko Logarusic admits he is unsure about his future after his contract talks with the Tusker Premier League (TPL) giants hit a snag.

In an interview with futaa.com before departing to Croatia for Christmas holidays, the award winning tactician said the two parties have not agreed on personal terms ahead of the 2013 season.

No deal yet

-I am leaving for Croatia and I have not made any agreement for the next season with Gor Mahia until now.

Asked if he’s been approached by any other club, Logarusic reserved his comments.

-No. I am just talking about Gor and I am leaving without any agreement with them, insisted Logarusic.

Revelation

Logarusic joined Gor in March 2012 turning around the fortunes of the club as he led them to a 27-game unbeaten record.

Under his watchful eye, K’ogalo won two trophies (Top Eight and FKF President’s Cup) and finished second on the log in the just concluded season.

Logarusic jetted-out of the country last evening (Sunday 25 November).

“OGANGO TRAILER” this cannot be right, and now it is clear you are not a genuine KOGALO supporter. You cannot be and this is bad, how can the administrator block this guy? He is masquarading as a supporter when in real sense he is an enemy.Logarusic will be back whether Trailer and his ilk like it or not.Kwani mtu hawezi enda holiday?

I wished Logarusic could stay in GM a little longer to assist GM win at least one continental trophy and assist in player selection and strategies for the year 2013.

Just like in any other employment – if the employer can’t afford your services then no matter how much he wants to keep you it’s not possible so I wont be surprised that GM cannot keep him…the decision to keep him is with EC and not the fans so may the office decide; after all it is then who draw the budget. Take for instance, if this gentleman (Logarusic) wants to be paid 1 million and the budget is for example 350k then can GM afford him? Food for the thought!

And who told you that you the two of you masterkeering cry babies are more GM than othetrs. The days of idol worshipping ended in the last millennium , so please style up, open your minds ,stop being unrealistic and myopic in your thinking and reasoning.

GOR MAHIA can not afford this gentleman and the best is he ship out if he can not shape up and take what AR offered. Let Sir JBO handle the team within the budgeted amount.

By the way @ 7 OGANGO I will agree with your sentiments on this subject – some expectations are normally unrealistic. Here comes Logarusic…When he came to GM he negotiated for 250k, after one yr, GM has helped him build his profile and now people all over are able to spot him, including Efusi, Egypt, Sudan and the list is endless. If for he wanted like 50% increase then that could be better but now how will the club keep him if his heart is already out of the club? Again you never know – probably he wants to leave when his profile is still very high to get a greener pasture using his current cv so let him decide his fate…

Let us be realistic here and stop wasting time, energy and name calling on this issue you are not privy to. Matters of employment is left to HR and not consumers. If the HR cannot afford to keep a staff who has been approached by a competitor who is willing to better his/her package however much noise we the consumer make will not help much. Lets pray that the organ in GM which is responsible in hiring and firing will reason and hear the concern aired by the consumer and approach Log soberly after X-MASS

I think log wants something and GM also has an offer. Yet we do not know the dimention talks have taken so far. I’ll be sorry for both parties if it took the mentality of ‘i already have a club offering me 5 times what you’re giving me’. As fans lets quit the ‘aende’ arrogance and wait for any outcome and move on. Howeve Sir Bobby must refuse the uncouth influence of bad officials dictating line ups and recruiting con men into the team. Lastly , loga is not the begining and end of GM’s success lets not cry for him remember he’s fighting tooth and nail for his own salary and is leaving if he won’t get the ‘five times’. A source privy to office issues has it that the chair wishes to double the tech bench salary not just an individual’s but he’ll have none of it(loga)! Actually am seeing guys crying for one person as if he handled the team alone! If there are people willing to chip in let them do it to the entire tech bench not on the basis of who is most noisy and worshiped. Can’t we see the other tech bench members are tolerant and going about their negotiations decently and professionaly? This is because GM is heritage and lifestyle to them and they feel a responsibity to better the club for posterity. They understand its not purely a chovya niende pot! I urge the chair to implement an all inclusive increment void of euphoria and skin worship differentiations.

@8 Odhiambo.p.owuor you are another quack with nothing in between your two ears. Can blog supersports and get to know that EFUSI have already bagged this guy in the den with a god offer than what AR has suggested.

Problem with some of us is that you learning soccer politics on this blog.

FUNGUA MACHO and let GM plan for post-Logarusic era without too much undue financial pressure. This is business and a simple mathematics will tell you that Logarusic is unaffordable at the moment. COACHES COME AND GO but K’Ogalo will not evaporate.

Gor Mahia can afford Logarusic’s salary, even double Sir.Bob’s, and improve player’s terms. What the club cannot cope with is sustaining a largely corrupt, inefficient and bloated executive committee. Here are the facts and figures.

    Income: Kshs.

    1.Gate Collections ( not complete) 25,063,448.00

2.Tuzo Sponsorship(Officials who jeopardized deal should take responsibility) 18,000,000.00

    3. TPL Sponsorship 2,500,000.00

    4. TOP 8 Winners cash prize 1,000,000.00

5.TPL runners up cash prize 1,500,000.00

    6. TPL participation award-all teams paid as per position approx 500,000.00

    7. Top 8 participation fee 3 matches @ kshs.100k/match.4 EC to this agree is a joke 300,000.00

    8. Branches fee (82 branches x 6,000/branch) Info from GMFC official website 492,000.00

    9.Known Donations-Raila-500K,Kisia-200K,Kidero-200K 900,000.00

    10. Harambee for coaches car 330,000.00

    *Total Income 50,585,448.00

*Not included due to lack of info-1) Supersport payments, Merchandize/Tshirt replica sales, Nation jacket sales,CAF harambees, airtickets from PM, Chairman’s contribution though with the above figure I am doubting the myth the he single handedly finances GMFC.

Expenses- Mainly taken from G.Bwana’s Financial Explanation on facebook/ to the media even though incomplete and seemingly exaggerated. Remember GMFC has 26 players.

    Gor’s Monthly Expenditure
    1. Sponsorship =Kshs 1,232,000(Player’s salaries only) x 12 months = 14,784,000.00

    2. Technical bench salaries = Ksh 235,000x 12 months = 2,820,000.00

    3. Office administrator =Kshs50,000x 12 months = 600,000.00

    4. NIC bus loan =Kshs 65,000 (Highly doubtful with all harambees by fans) x 12months = 780,000.00

    5. Head Coach $3,000 (Ksh.250,000)-came in March x10 months = 2,500,000.00

Weekly expenditure for match preparation. Let give EC benefit of doubt and use full 52weeks/365 days
    6.Transport allowance Ksh.8,300 perday x 365days = 3,029,500.00
    7. Medicine =Kshs15,000 x 52 weeks =780,000.00
    8. Water 3000 per day x 365days =1,095,000.00
    9. Hire of city stadium Kshs 5,000 per dayx 365 days =1,825,000.00
    10. Winning bonuses =Kshs 154,000 assume they won all their 30 league matches =4,620,000.00
    11. Coach’s taxi 800 per day-for 30days every month for 10months. =240,000.00

    Total Expenses = 33,073,500.00

Surplus-which is higher if omitted income e.g Supersport is taken in account =17,511,948.00

Are you convinced that the EC has used Kshs.17.5million to print tickets and hire GMFC security or is this amount mainly divided between the executive committee?

1.Remember our players don’t even have medical insurance.

2.By retaining Logarusic, motivating other members of the bench and players gate collections can easily hit 40m in 2013.

3.Remember the current bench wins trophies without the expensive residential training hence and with a lean squad hence saving the club these expenses.

4.Logarusic and co. will pay for their salaries through performance.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS AND MINE PAY LOGARUSIC, SIR BOB, BENCH AND PLAYERS WELL OR CONTINUE PAYING THE EC APPROX KSHS.1.5million per year each instead of each member of the EC contributing even kshs.20,000 per month towards the club.

All observations presented here are good enough to help the Ec positively identify its strength and weak points.I think Ec should start scouting for a soft landing should Loga and any other player bolt out. Before April 2012 we didnt know any thing about him, thus I believe there is always a better option somewhere. Loga in his charasteristic is a person who caan cause acrisis when his star shines the brightest. Remember when came to GOR he was enroute to Ghana.

The reason why GOR MAHIA fraternity has won know serious continental title for 3 decades, and worse, not improved its financial strength is because of following reasons:Siege mentality, Talking too much about the past, leaving in denial, quick to forget, blame games and lastly refusing to change with changes.Assuming we embraced changes that Leslie Okudo proposed in 1995 and take note, this is the year we last won the league, if am not wrong,we could have been far financially and things like paying the technical bench and players the best salary would not have been a challenge now,we are simply just reaping what we have sown for the last 3 decades.I guess this time we will make use of this opportunity to redeem ourselves.

Lets keep Logarusic, our key players including Jerim and at the same time professionalize the club. We must move forward if we want the best for this club. Sticking with community mentality yet we cannot contribute to it, instead only throw stones at it, in the name of being passionate does not help. Change is inevitable.

@ando2031 I cannot agree with you more. We talk too much about so many thing and do very little about them. Eg opening Mpesa account to support player, abuse EC for not heeding fans demands, dictating the lineup etc. Now the MPesa was launched, how many of the noise makers have contributed? I am almost certain that no one has.
On Loga, I would advice the EC to let him go. An employee whose heart is elsewhere is better let off. You may insist on keeping him, and leave to regret later. I am sure Sir Bobby, if given a free hand to manage the team can perform equally well. In any case he has been understudying Loga, coupled with his past experience, I do not see a vacuum at all.

Let Loga go with Jerry as well if he can get a better pay elsewhere. However, it could have been better if we can keep Loga for two seasons.

Gor Mahia is a big club with huge followings throughout the region and this will even attract better coaches from any part of the world.

If Loga goes, we would need a foreign coach with better pedigree in turning Gor Mahia to be the best club in the region and African continent.

Gor Mahia as a team must have a mission and vision with good core values that can bring discipline to the EC members, fans, players, technical team bench, sponsors etc. The club’s ethos will drive the business of team of winning trophies and making profit.

The success of the club can only be achieved by all stakeholders working together.

I still have concern with our EC members and it is time for the Chairman to reorganise EC members as most of them are big liabilities and eyesore to the team. Some members have been involved in fraudulent activities and sabotaging of the team’s effort.

    2.Tom Ogweno gets reinstated.
3.Jerry Jagoal sobbers down and drops his rage.
    3.Strengthen the weak departments.
4.Drop or loan out the underperforming players.
5.EC mandates Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch Kampala) to negotiate Ed Mubiru’s signing and we move on to glory.

  • If Loga was to depart for good, the best we can do is to be greatful that at least Bobby worked under him and must have picked something from him. Back on the pitch if one observed carefully, Bobby was always up giving instructions which I did not see Loga dispute. That in itself says a lot about mentorship. So if one is thinking that Gor is finished, I would encourage them to cheer up for there is no gap. However dew to the continental commitments, I would still desire that we get a foreign coach but only if Loga is not for sure coming back.Of great concern is that I look at some postings and the lines do not give any indication that the authors are Gor supporters instead I see an enemy implanted. My encouragement to the real k’ogalo family is “The best is yet to come omiyo remain steadfast and full of hope for that is what we stand for. God bless K’Ogalo family. Start saving early for next year’s matches.

@Orito Bernard am not your a person of your calibre or rather counterpart ; and if you do practice drugs then the best thing to do is to blog with drug addicts like yourself. Issue pertaining to GM are always emotive for people with shallow minds who can not see yonder beyond what they are reading in black and white.

Take note that OGANGO TRAILER post are just his independent opinions and they will remain as such , but the juicy part of it wholesomely is that I will always hit the nail on the head and smoke out idol worshippers who can not blog without suffering from Ogango-phobia.

My friend I respond to people who post sensible , analytical and comprehensive but not unsubstantiated and un-audit accounts based on a generalized multiple-media platform. Those kind of post are meant to enlighten myopic thinkers like yourself and O.Trailer.

My friend revisit all the post above and differentiate facts with fiction. And you will know that in this blogpost we have boys and men.adults and children depending on their post.

    Re -look again and read the following seasoned bloggers on there take on Logarusic;
    1. Walter Alando Bwoga
    2. Ochigah
    3. KASSAM Mwavangano
    4. Dan
    5. Mboya Obendi
    6. JAKOYO
    7. Albert Kosero
    8. MWAKIO
    9. Barefoot Bandit.

And I will conclude that I don’t have time for any person be it the players, technical bench,EC , Fans or even bloggers like yourself who lack basic management skill to know that once an employee profile has sky – rocketed the same case applies to his monetary value. The best is to relieve and part ways peaceful otherwise he will become an enemy mole who job will be to rock the boat from inside through incitement and sabotage.

So if your IDOL LOGARUSIC is man enough let him tembea na YESU AMA SHETANI to his next destination where he will earn 500% salary increment. K’Ogalo will be alive with or without him. When Len Julian and six first eleven players were suspended during the Zamalek debacle GOR MAHIA survived, won the league and East&central club championship with crop of new players and coach.
